Auden’s POV

I still can’t believe I am pregnant. I had to tell my dad I was pregnant, I was scared but excited for his reaction. I was trying to think of ways to tell him, like fly him out here or do it over video chat. I was stumped.
“What are you thinking about so hard?” Matt said across from me.
“How to tell my dad” I said. “I’m scared.”
“Babe you have nothing to be scared about, he is your father and he will be excited, if anyone should be scared it should be me.” Matt chuckled.
“Should I fly him out here or video call him?” I asked
“Well soon we will be back in Huntington we can go to the doctors and get everything figured out then have a gender reveal party and have him fly out for it” Matt suggested.
“Actually babe that’s a great idea!” I smiled.
“Thanks!” he smiled.
“That means I need to straight looking up doctors” I said pulling out my laptop.
“We will get you the best one there is in Huntington Beach, Larry will help us. I will give him a call right now” Matt said getting up kissing my head and disappearing in the back to make a call.
I was busy looking at baby things on my laptop when I felt my phone go off.

Are you busy? -Mom
Yeah I am actually.
Ok, thought I would check up on you.
You have no reason to check up on me so I don’t know why you’re bothering
I am still your mother. I can check up on you when I please.
The fuck you lost the mother title when you walked away, all you are is a birth giver.
That is no way to talk to your mom. I still love you.
I don’t give a shit what way I talk to you, you don’t deserve my love. And with that said I’m done talking. Bye.

I was so irritated that I threw my phone across the bus.
“What was that for?” Johnny asked.
“Don’t worry about it” I grumbled.
“Well at least you didn’t break it.” Brian said handing it to me.
“Thanks.” I said snatching the phone out of his hands. “When is the next stop?”
“In about 5 minutes” Jimmy said prancing around
“Good” I huffed. Aimee and Zacky emerged from the back room giggling. I rolled my eyes.
“When do we stop?” Zacky asked
“5 minutes” I grumbled.
“Woah what is your problem” Aimee asked
“Don’t worry about it” I snapped
“Well shit sorry for asking” She huffed. I just groaned. Matt emerged from the back room smiling.
“Good news babe Larry got us the best doctor and when we arrive back we will have an appointment the next day.” he said
“Good.” I grumbled. He gave me a worried look and was about to say something when Jimmy screamed.
“IT’S OUR STOP!”
Matt got up to step outside.
“Do we have any glass bottles?” I asked
“Yeah there are some in the trash.” Brian said
“Why?” Matt asked
“Brian please grab them and the broom and dust pan. Everyone go do what you want I need alone time.” I said looking at everyone.
“Here you go Auden” Brian said setting them down.
“Leave.” I said
“I’m staying here” Matt said.
“Don’t think that is a good idea” Aimee piped in
“I don’t give a shit what any of you do just leave” I huffed. Everyone threw their hands up and walked away. I picked up a bottle and chucked it at a wall. It felt good to get the anger out. I threw a few more before I noticed the tears and the arms wrap around me.
“I don’t know what happened while I was on the phone but when you’re ready to talk you know I am here.” Matt said
I looked at him, “I just wanna be home.” I started crying again.
“Oh baby I know you do. I do too” He said running his hand over my hair.
“I just need my alone time right now, I will talk with you later.” I sniffled
“Ok baby, I will go grab some things from the gas station, need anything?” he asked
“Yes please, something to drink and some snacks” I gave him a small smile.
“Ok babe I will be back soon” he said kissing my head and walked away.
I looked back at the bottles and the wall, I grabbed another and threw it. I was letting out over 19 years of anger towards that woman. No one would understand fully why I have this anger for her, she deserves all the hate she can get. Dylan hated her, my older half sister hated her, one turned out exactly like her, I didn’t feel sorry for that sister either.
By the time everyone came back, I was sweeping everything up and throwing it away.
“All good?” Zacky asked
“Yup” I said a bit happier than earlier.
“Good let’s get back on the road” Matt smiled. We all climbed on the bus and started our journey again.
“I think I’m going to lay down for a bit.” I said yawning.
“I’ll join you” Matt said getting and following me.
Once the door was shut Matt turned to me looking upset.
“What is wrong?” I asked sitting on the edge of the bed.
“What was earlier about?” he asked
“Really wanna know?” I said
“Yes I do. Because whatever you go through I will go through with you.” He said.
“Ok then.” I said grabbing my phone and opening the messages from birth giver. Matt grabbed the phone out of my hand and was reading the messages. I just looked at the floor, tears welling up.
“Oh babe, are you ok?” Matt said crouching in front of me to look at my face.
“No.” I sniffled. “It just hits home easily and hard”
“Come here princess, it will be fine.” He said scooping me up and sitting in my spot with me in his lap. “You don’t need that type of negativity your life, you are so much better without her.”
“Thanks Matt but it’s just hard knowing that she won’t be in my life to see me get married to the love of my life or be a grandma. Instead she choose drugs and alcohol to take over her life. And I am absolutely terrified I might end up like her.” I said
“Auden stop and listen closely to me, I promise you will not become your mom, you’re so strong and beautiful. You’ve overcame a lot without her and you know who was there to watch it all happen? Your dad. He was there, he raised two very badass kids, granted I won’t meet one but I met the other and damn did she blow me away. If I could thank your dad a thousand times I would. She fucked up by leaving behind a very beautiful and talented daughter and bad ass son, she choose to ruin her life, you choose to make it better. I love you and you will be an awesome mom and wife.” he said looking at me, his hazel eyes soft and full of love and admiration. At this point I was crying.
“I love you too Matty, I appreciate that you are willing to go through what I am going through and you know how to push me to make myself better. I can’t wait to be your wife. You’ll be a pretty badass dad not gonna lie babe.” I said smiling.
“Well thank you darling, I will try to be the best damn father to that little nugget in there” he said placing his hand on my stomach, his dimple showing. It made my heart swell up.
“If I’m being honest with you, I was scared that you would get upset at the fact that I was pregnant.” I said
“Oh no baby girl I am very happy. Let’s get some sleep you look exhausted.” he said
“I am” I said softly. We both laid down and I snuggled up to him taking in his scent and warmth. I fell asleep pretty fast.
