Auden's POV

When we left the hospital the first thing we did was go get something to eat, Jimmy was complaining about being hungry, I wasn't complaining because hospital food sucked. Everyone piled in cars together, Matt, my dad and I were in one. I was opening the back door when my dad looked at me.
"Yes?" I asked
"What are you doing?" he asked
"Getting in the car?" I said
"Why the back?" he asked.
"Because I'm letting you have the front" I said
"The hell you are, get up front." he said
"No. I'm sitting in the back, get your ass in the front." I said standing my ground I was not going to let him in the back.
"Auden, front now." he said.
"No dad." I said
"Doug I think it would be best to sit in the front, I haven't got the Auden wrath yet and I don't think I want to see it." Matt said looking at us.
"You're probably right" my dad chuckled.
I looked at Matt and smiled I knew he would take my side, I got in the back. Matt started the car and a conversation with my dad. I leaned back thanking god Jimmy picked a place with burgers, I was craving a burger and fries. I was looking out the window in my own little world not paying attention to what the guys were talking about, I just spent the time looking out the window.
"Babe you ok?" Matt asked looking back in the rearview mirror.
"Yes" I simply answered looking at him smiling. I didn't realize we were at the restaurant. My dad was already out of the car talking with everyone, Matt got out came around to my door, opened it and helped me out. I looked over at Jimmy he was frowning.
"Alright guys let's head in before Jimmy dies." I chuckle.
"THANK YOU!" Jimmy yells, we understood each other in ways most wouldn't. We all got inside and seated at the table, ordered our drinks. I was going to order a beer but I got told no by Matt. If I said I didn't pout I would be lying, boy was I pouting. I wanted a beer so bad but can't mix pills and alcohol together so I had to settle for a pop. Aimee even ordered a pop so I wouldn't feel left out.
"So Auden what are you going to do now?" My dad asked me.
"Looks like I will be spending a lot of time on the tour bus." I said
"Won't you get bored?" he asked.
"No, I will still go to the concerts I just can't do my job sadly." I frowned
"Hey Auden don't feel bad, you'll be back before you know it." Brian said looking at me.
"Thanks Brian but I feel like I will be letting you all down." I said. Matt took my hand in his.
"Auden you're not letting us down, we understand. Shit happens. You still have our support." Johnny said smiling.
"But who will take my spot?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it sweetie we will find someone." Matt said rubbing small circles on my back. When the food came I was too zoned on eating that I didn't pay attention to what was being asked.
"Auden" Aimee said
"Huh?" I broke out of my zone
"We need a date for the wedding" Aimee said
I just looked at her and thought. I mean if I really wanted to be selfish I would make it on my birthday but I knew better than that.
"We need a answer dear." my dad said
"How about the 5th of October?" I said
"That's 5 days before your birthday you sure you wanna do that?" Aimee asked.
"If I wanted to be selfish I would have made it on my birthday but I'm not selfish and I'm sure I wanna do this. Matt?" I said
"I'm fine with whatever you want" He said bringing my hand up to his lips kissing it.
"Ok so October 5th. Big or small?" I asked.
"I was thinking small, just family and friends." Matt said
"Agreed. Means I would have to fly the family out here." I smiled
"Your grandmother would shit herself." My dad said
"You're probably right but she will have to deal with it." I chuckled.
"Have you thought about your best man Matt?" Aimee asked.
I was grabbing my sprite and taking a drink when Matt said,
"Yeah I did I think I want to make it Dylan but then Brian."
I choked on my drink, I was coughing up a storm trying to catch my breathe while holding my side in pain.
"Auden are you ok?!" Dad and Matt asked
Once I was able to stop coughing and choking I said, "Yeah just that surprised me."
"No offense to you guys but I know how important Dylan was to Auden and if he was here I would have made him my best man, he will be so that means a empty spot next to me, then it will go Brian. Brian you would kinda be like a second best man." Matt smiled. My dad looked at Matt with awe. Everyone just shook their heads understanding. When the checks came everyone paid this time my dad and Matt were fighting about who was paying.
"Dad jesus just let Mat pay for us, you came all the way to Philly because of me." I said glaring at him.
"Fine I will." he huffed.
"Are we going back to the hotel now?" I asked
"Yes we are babe" Matt said
"Dad you getting a room?" I asked
"Already got it booked thanks to Zack and Aimee" he smiled
"Great let's go." I said standing up making my way to the car. I was tired, in pain and just wanted to cuddle Matt. Aimee sensed something wrong because she pulled Matt aside while I got in the car. I shut the door and leaned my head back, my dad was sitting up front again, he looked ahead before speaking.
"Look Auden I know you just caught attitude before we left, I know why. When we get back to the hotel go straight to bed. I know you're tired. I hate seeing you in pain." he said
"I'm sorry dad and I will its been a long day." I sighed
"I know it has just don't take your anger out on the others." he said
"I won't I promise." I said making it the last of the conversation because Matt got in the car. He looked back at me with concern, I just smiled. He started the car and drove away. Not even 5 minutes into the trip back to the hotel I fell asleep.

When we arrived back, I woke up because I felt the car stop. I got out of the car, Matt came up to me and picked me up bridal style, he carried me through the lobby, into the elevators. Everyone was in the elevator with us, when we came to our floor everyone said their goodnights. My dad kissed my head and went to his room. I looked at Matt, he was so focused on getting us back to the room. When we arrived he put me down so he could open the door, once that door was opened he picked me back up and carried me to the bed and laid me down. He took off my shoes, pants, and shirt putting me in one of his shirts. He knew exactly what to do like he has been taking care of me for years. He stripped down to his boxers and climbed in the bed next to me. I immediately snuggle up to him.
"Babe?" he says
"Yes Matty?"
"How are you feeling?"
"In pain"
"So I didn't upset you earlier?"
"No babe you didn't, making that decision surprised the hell out of me though."
"Well, I thought I should do more than just have an open space for him"
"Thanks Matty, I love you"
"I love you too princess, get some sleep"
When my eyes shut I was out like a light, never did I ever wanna get in a accident again.
