Auden's POV

I felt like I was sleeping forever, when I woke back up my dad and Matt were the only ones in the room having a conversation.
"It was Valary that hit Auden." Matt said his hands were together in front of his face. He let out a sigh
"How did you know it was your ex?" My dad asked.
"Because after he proposed to me she was on the side of the stage. She told me I was after the money and that I didn't care for him. She was pissed. She's jealous" I said.
"Well hello to you to dear." my dad said getting up and walking over to my hospital bed kissing my forehead,
"Hi daddy." I smiled, then I looked at Matt. He didn't look happy.
"Dad could you give us a moment alone please?" I asked
"Sure thing. If you guys need anything I will be outside" he said making his way out of the room. When he was gone I looked at Matt and patted the spot next to me.
"Come here Matt." I said, he got up and got into the bed wrapping his arms around me.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"No" he said
"Please tell me what's going on in your head." I said softy.
"I just hate the fact that when my life finally goes the way I want it something happens." He said playing with my hair.
"Matt this is just a bump in the road, we will get through it. I won't let things fuck this up." I said grabbing his hand. I looked up at him and in his eyes I saw hope. I praying I would get out of here soon because I hated being in here. As soon as I said that someone knocked on the door.
"Auden?" Doctor Szabodos said coming in
"yes doctor?" I said
"I checked your reports we will take you in for one more CAT scan to see how your brain is doing and then an x-ray on your ribs and I think you'll be able to leave." he smiled.
"Ok! When do we do all that stuff?" I asked
"In about an hour" he said
"Thank you doctor!" I smiled
"You're welcome, now I got to go tend to my other patients" He smiled leaving the room.
I looked at Matt, he looked relieved.
"Look Matty soon we will get out of here and then you can relax a little besides your shows, like I said it's just a little bump in the road soon it will be all over with." I smiled at him. He smiled back and grabbed my face pulling it towards him for a kiss. When our lips connected, I felt the electricity flow through me again, Matt must have felt it to because he tried to pull me closer but we were interrupted.
"Uh guys?" Aimee said. I pulled away and looked at my bestfriend and then everyone around her.
"Oh sorry dudes." Matt chuckled. Everyone entered in the room making their rounds with hugs.
"Did someone get my dad?" I asked,
"No but I will" Zack said getting up and leaving the room. 5 minuets later my dad and Zack come back in the room. Everyone took a seat that could seat. Zack and Aimee were in a chair. My dad was in a chair, Jimmy was sitting on the floor. Brian and Johnny were standing.
"Guys I have some news" I said looking at them
"Ok" most of them said.
"The doctor came in earlier and said in about 30 minuets I will be going back for a CAT scan and an x-ray. Then that will determine if I can leave or not." I said squeezing Matt's hand.
Aimee squealed, everyone let out sighs of relief.
"I can't thank you guys enough for being here for me. I know it's been stressful and tiring but I greatly appreciate it." I said with tears in my eyes. I was just so proud to have my little family around me.
"It's what we are here for little blonde one." Jimmy flashed a smile at me.
I looked over at my dad, "Thanks for flying here, you really didn't have to but I do really appreciate it."
"It's nothing dear, I just wanted to see you all again anyways" he smiled. For the last 20 minuets everyone was talking about different things, trying to not let the excitement get to them. I was hoping and praying we could leave this place. When the nurses showed up they couldn't believe all the people in my room.
"Wow Auden, you do have a cute little family here." the one nurse smiled at me.
"Yeah I know, they are the best ever." I smiled.
"We need to get you going before your boyfriend I'm guessing over here has a freak out." the second nurse pointed to Matt who looked like he was about to go insane.
"My fiancé will be fine. I hope, Matt if it makes you feel better maybe you should sing Almost Easy." I laughed.
"Very funny Auden." he stuck his tongue out at me.
"I'll be back shortly." I said waving to everyone as we made our way to the CAT scan room. I was praying it would go good. It only took about 25 minuets all together. The nurses took me back to my room where everyone sat waiting for me to return.
"Ok Auden, your doctor should be in here in about 30 minuets to tell you the news." The nurse said leaving the room.
"Thank you!" I yelled to her. "So we got 30 minuets to waste, what should we do."
"Truth or Dare?" Aimee said.
"No, one we don't have alcohol in our systems and second we are in a hospital with Jimmy and Brian." I chuckled
"You don't always have to have alcohol in your system to play that game." My dad said.
"Uh with these guys you do." I laughed.
"It's true dad, these fuckers are insane." Aimee laughed.
"What about wedding planning?" Aimee asked
"Uh that's up to Matt." I said raising my hands.
Matt looked at me and chuckled, "We can do some planning like the date"
"What season do you want your wedding in?" Dad asked.
"I would like either a summer or fall wedding." Matt said. When I heard fall, I squealed.
"Fall has always been Auden's favorite season, she always told me she wanted a fall wedding but if she didn't get the season she wanted she was ok with whatever." my dad smiled.
"Well looks like we are having a Fall wedding." Matt chuckled.
"Best man?" Zack asked. Matt looked at all the guys. I knew he would pick Brian which didn't bother me, but I knew some of them may be disappointed.
"Haven't thought of that yet." Matt said.
"Maid of honor is gonna be Aimee." Johnny said.
"No, I thought about making it Jimmy." I said winking at Jimmy.
"Hell yeah" Jimmy said throwing his arms around
"WHAT?" Aimee said.
"Calm your tits woman of course it will be you." I said laughing. "Dad will you be up for handing me off?"
"Of course I will be." he smiled.
"Matt I do have one request because I don't care how this wedding really goes" I frowned a little.
"What is that request babe?" he asked.
"Have an open spot for Dylan in the front row." I asked.
"Of course Auden, anything to make you happy." he said kissing the top of my head.

The 30 minuets has passed when my doctor came in with my chart and some papers and scans.
"Alright Miss Halpern looks like you are free to go home." he said. Everyone hooted and hollered, I smiled really big.
"But you can't do much, you'll be able to walk around but can't really lift anything over 5 lbs. You have to be real careful, I will be prescribing pain pills, use them when you only really have pain, don't mix them with alcohol." he said.
"Yes sir. I will watch her like a hawk." Matt smiled.
"Here are your discharge papers, when you're finished with them you can just leave them there and be on your merry way." Doctor Szabodos said handing me the papers and leaving the room. I have never wrote so fast until now, I wanted to leave. Everyone was grabbing my belongings and making sure we didn't leave anything behind. When I was finished I slammed the papers and pen down. I hopped out of the bed grabbing the clothed Aimee sat out for me and went into the bathroom connected to my room to changed. I was having a little problem getting my shirt on.
"MATT!" I yelled.
"Are you ok?!" he came flying into the bathroom looking me over.
"Yeah I just really can't raise my arms to put my shirt on." I pouted.
"Let me help babe." he said softly, he grabbed the shirt out of my hands, rolled the hem up till it met the hole for my head. He then pushed the shirt over my head and lightly pulled my arms through the holes. I whinced a little in pain.
"I'm sorry babe." he frowned
"It's ok not your fault." I said. "Can I ask a favor?"
"Whatcha need cupcake?" he smiled.
"Can you pull my hair up." I asked
"yeah let's go get a hair tie." he said exiting the bathroom. I followed him and sat in the bed while Matt grabbed a hair tie. Once he found it, he walked over to me and started pulling my hair into a pony tail. After he was done he kissed my head.
"Damn Sanders I didn't think you knew how to pull up hair." Brian said.
"Well when you have a younger sister sometimes you tend to pull up her hair." Matt said.
"Dylan used to braid my hair for me." I said looking at Brian.
"I never had to do that for McKenna. Probably a good thing." Brian said.
"Ok enough talking let's leave please." Jimmy whinned
"I'm with Jimmy on this one." I said getting up.

We gathered everything we needed and headed out of the hospital, once the sun hit my skin I smiled. I felt great, I was alive, I was engaged and I had a full life ahead of me.
