Dirty Little Secret

001

2017

“Ash! Ash!”

I spun around hearing my name. My auburn curls bouncing sideways as I quickly turned my head left and right, scanning the crowded sidewalk. Ugh, too fast! Too fast! Shit. Blood rushed to my head and my vision blurred slightly. My head suddenly felt heavy and hot.

“Fantastic,” I muttered sarcastically to no one. Just what I fucking needed. A headache. I raised my hands to my temples and gently started to massage them. Ugh, I hated headaches, and this heat wasn't going to help.

“Ash!”

Fuck off.

“Ash!” The voice was closer now. Suddenly a hand touched my shoulder, and with a violent swirl, I was spun around.

“Ow! Fuck!” I felt dizzy. Not now, please not now. I begged as a wave of nausea hit me.

“Ash? Are you okay?”

I looked up and saw my best friend. Should’ve known. She was standing, staring down at me, her eyes alight with amusement and worry. Who the hell can be amused and worried at the same time?

“Yeah, yeah,” I waved her off, the nausea finally disappearing.

“Okay good!” she squealed, her lips pulling into a smile. Well, I'm glad one of us was happy.

I looked her up and down, finally seeing her properly for the first time today. A pang of jealousy coursed through my veins. Don't start Ash! Caoilinn was gorgeous, in a Greek Goddess kind of way. Her long, raven blue hair cascaded down her back, accentuating her jade-green eyes. She was tall, but not too tall. Perfect height with long, slender legs and a perfectly toned body to accompany them. She had all the right curves and knew how to flaunt them. After all, she was a 10 on the scale of perfection, much to the delight of our male counterparts. Compared to her, I was an average potato. I was about 5 ft. 2 with chocolate brown eyes and auburn hair - more orange than I’d like to admit... thanks mom. Unlike Caoilinn’s sleek, straight hair, mine was an untameable mane with a mind of its own. I wasn't overweight, but I wasn't perfectly toned either which was okay with me. If Caoilinn was the beauty, I was the beast.

“Stop staring at me!” She lightly smacked my arm, waking me from my thoughts.

I rolled my eyes. “Please, as if you don't like it when people stare.”

She giggled. Unlike me, Caoilinn loved attention which meant I would often find myself in awkward and bizarre situations. Wherever she went, people were bound to stare. I mean, how could you not? She was gorgeous.

“Ash, you're doing it again.”

“Huh?” I answered dumbly.

“You're staring. Sheesh, you'd think you of all people would know what it's like to be stared at,” she laughed as I narrowed my eyes at her, “Oh come on, don’t be angry! You know what I mean.”

Truth be told, I did know what she meant but sometimes I wish I didn't. I spent my whole life being the subject of gossip. As soon as I would step into public, people would stare and often they would follow me. As a child, this used to scare and puzzle me and no matter how hard Daddy tried to shelter me from it all, we couldn't escape it. It was the price to pay for being the lone daughter of a guitar god... a local celebrity.

I blew out air. How long had we been standing here, on the side walk in this raging heat? God, how fucking hot was it? 35 degrees? 40?! Fuck I hated summer. Sweat was dripping down my back, and by now, I was certain my dress had glued itself to my dress. Great, there's probably this huge sweat patch on my back.

“Hello-o? Earth to Ash? Come in please?” Caoilinn waved her hand in front of my face before grabbing my shoulders and shaking me.

“Kay, stop it! You're going to make me sick!” I could feel a new wave of nausea rise. Oh, please God, no. You see, unlike regular folks who suffered from heat-induced nose bleeds, I was blessed with curse. Yes, when temperatures rose, so did my stomach content.

“Well how else am I supposed to get your attention?” She smirked and raised a perfectly groomed eyebrow.

“Not like that,” I stepped out of her grip. “What do you want?”

“Oh? I didn't know I needed to want something to be graced with your attention. Oh! Whatever shall I do now?” I rolled my eyes at her. Fuck, she was so melodramatic at times.

“Fuck off.”

She laughed, her eyes lighting up with excitement. Oh, shit. “Oh Ashy Ash! Whatever shall I do without you?” she sang, linking her arm with mine.

“Crash and burn?” I laughed, knowing damn well she didn't need me to be gone for that. Caoilinn had a habit of wrecking things, sometimes for the better. Other times, not.

“Talking about crashing, I hear there's this big party happening at Johnny’s tonight,” She wiggled her eyebrows. I inwardly groaned. I knew where this was going. “What do you say you and me go?”

Yep, there it was. “I don’t kn- “

“Please? C’mon it’ll be fun. Besides, you fucking owe me!” she cut me off. God, I hated when she begged! She knew I could never say no to her.

“Ugh, you make my life miserable!” I gave in.

“Thank you! Thank you!” She unhooked her arm from mine, and started jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas day.

I just nodded. Honestly, I was torn between wanting to go and not wanting to go. See the problem was that I knew whose party it was. I knew all about it, after all, how could I not? Everyone was talking about it and as usual, everyone was asking me about it, faking kindness in hopes of an invitation. I sighed. Oh, how I wish I was born into a normal family – not that I hated mine, it's just I could do without the fake popularity that came with it.

“Will you stop zoning out?!” Caoilinn whined, running a neatly manicured hand over her face.

“Sorry,” I mumbled sheepishly, “What were you saying?”

She sighed and rolled her eyes, clearly overplaying the annoyance, “I said I will come by your house later and we can get ready together. Then that DILF of yours can take us.”
I gaped at the mention of my father. DILF?! What?! No. Not a chance. Daddy was definitely not a DILF.

“Oh sweetie calm down before you burst a vein.” she rolled her eyes.

“I'm not angry,” I lied. Was I angry?

“Oh please, you and I both know that you are but why you’re upset is beyond me. You should be proud that your dad is a DILF. A fucking hot one,” She wiggled her eyebrows seductively, “Hell I wish mine was.”

“Damnit Kay! That's my father! Please stop,” I begged.

“Fine. Be a spoil sport,” She crossed her arms in front of her chest and stormed off dramatically.

I stared on after her. What. The. Fuck. Before I could move or say anything, Caoilinn turned around and began sprinting back towards me. I knew I had about twenty seconds to move out of the way before she would hit me. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough, and the next thing I knew, I was sprawled out on the side walk – dazed.

“I forgot, we better get going if we want to be at Johnny’s on time!” she squealed, laughing. In one swift movement, she jumped back onto her feet. Damnit, how did she do that and where did all her energy come from?

Damn this girl. Damn her energy. Damn her to hell! Strangers were walking past us, casting weird glances towards us. Great, just what I needed. Carry on walking Madonna, there’s nothing to see here. I rolled my eyes as the wannabe Madonna glared at me. Yeah, fuck you too. Mumbling curses under my breath, I picked myself up from the sidewalk. As soon as I was steady on my two feet, I turned to Caoilinn.

“Alright Kay, hurry and go fetch whatever you need. I'll meet you back at my house,” I smiled weakly and quickly hugged my best friend before turning away from her and hurrying away.

---

“Dear God, where the fuck do you two think you're going?” I raised an eyebrow as my father looked us up and down as we cautiously made our way down the stairs. God, what was I thinking? Heels? I could barely walk with flat-shoes, how was I going to survive the night?

“To Johnny’s mister Haner,” Caoilinn replied, smiling sweetly. We had just reached the last step and were now standing face to face with my father in the foyer.

“Dressed like that?” It was now his turn to raise an eyebrow. I suddenly felt self-conscious. Was there something wrong with my outfit? Was my makeup too much? Shit did I look like a clown? Wait, was I even wearing makeup? Oh, god please tell me it isn't my hair. I frantically gnawed my bottom lip, worry creasing my brow.

I turned to look at Caoilinn, my eyes wandering over her body. Make-up? Check. Hair? Curled and styled. Outfit? Perfect. I mentally ran through a checklist. Okay, she was good. Then again, what did I need to worry about, she was flawless. Dressed in low-cut, skin-tight red dress with a v-neckline, she had curled her hair and styled it with a red bow, which held her hair in a half up/half down hair style. She had applied her make-up meticulously, knowing just what colours to bring out the green in her eyes.

“Don't worry Ash, you look gorgeous,” Caoilinn reassured me. Gorgeous? I don't so. I quickly glanced at myself in the mirror, taking in my reflection with a frown. My hair appeared redder as it loosely clung to the white dress I was wearing, and gently tickled my exposed back. The front of the dress dipped down into a deep V-neck, the lace hugging my frame tightly. Unlike the upper part of the dress, the simple cotton skirt flared out around my waist, stopping mid-thigh. I watched as my reflection chewed on her bottom-lip, eating away the lipstick I had applied. Yep, keep chewing, you won't regret that later.

“Stop biting your lip Ash! You'll have no more lipstick on,” Caoilinn crossed her arms as she scolded me. Through the mirror I saw my father shake his head in amusement. Damn! I had forgotten he was here.

I turned away from the mirror and faced my father. My father. Daddy. God, I loved this man. I smiled a little. My father had always been there. It was just him and me, always had been, always will be. He was the single most precious thing to me – well besides my dazzling collection of Doctor Who memorabilia - and nothing could make me hate him. I gazed at him affectionately, taking in his appearance: black jeans, black V-neck t-shirt and a faded-black leather jacket. A couple of months ago, he had decided to shave both side of his head, said it made him feel and look younger – whatever you say Daddy. Now he had slicked back the remaining hair in some sort of comb-over. To my surprise, it suited him.

“Alright, get your things,” my father chuckled.

“Wh-what?” I shook my head, I had drifted off to some other planet, like usual.

“Grab your shit and let's go,” Daddy laughed, opening the front door for us, “We’re late!”
With a small squeal, Caoilinn grabbed my arm and dragged me out the front door, excitement rolling off her. This was going to be a night to remember.

Dear diary

My name is Aislinn Haner and I have a dirty little secret. I’m nothing more than a seventeen-year-old, rock and roll addict with a life-threatening case of geek. Exciting, I know. My past times include party crashing and Doctor Who fan-fiction. Yeah, I'm one of
those girls. So, tell me again why you’re reading this shit? The lonely rantings of a teenage wannabe nobody? Oh, yeah…

Hi, I’m Ash and I have dirty fantasies about Daddy’s best friend.

Notes

So chapter 1 is up.

Sorry for the slow pace in terms of the story. Don't want to rush the action and fuck up a potentially good story!

Enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to leave your thoughts.
