Ella’s POV

The Sunday went over way too fast, could be my fault as well, because I was sleeping in longer than I had done in maybe years.

When I had pulled myself out of bed finally I saw it was already noon and half of the day was done.
I dragged myself down the stairs to find Jake in the kitchen, he drank coffee while typing on his laptop. When he saw me approach he smiled and set the coffee aside.

He got up kissed me and handed me a cup that he filled with fresh coffee. I put lots of milk and sugar inside and sighed when I took the first sip.

“So how has it been, sleepy head?” Jake grinned when I took a seat opposite of him.
A smile came over my face remembering the night before “It was great. I am really glad you and Liz made me go…”

My eyes met his and I saw sadness in them but he quickly looked away “Glad you had fun, love”
“It would have been better with you” I grabbed his hand on the table and squeezed lightly, his eyes shot back to mine and he sighed “I would have loved to go with you… The meeting wasn’t that important in the end… Derek had some things for you, he will meet with you Monday morning in the studio… since I’m gone by then…” Jake didn’t look happy about the fact and I wasn’t either, but it was part of his job and he promised me days off when he was back, so we had something to look forward to.

“That’s okay, Jake. I’m gonna work all week, and when you will be back we can spend some time together” I said encouragingly and Jake smiled, his charming smile that made me fall for him more than 6 years ago.

“So tell me how embarrassing was Liz?” Jake asked and I rolled my eyes “What do you think? Beside her pushing me into the lead guitarist of the band so we could send you a photo and stuff?” I felt even now how my cheeks heated up at the memory.

“She is so fun” Jake chuckled, probably imagining the scene, but he had no idea. “For everyone else standing around, yes.” I said fake annoyed and Jake chuckled even more “Oh I believe that yes, and what a lucky guitarist to catch you, huh?” Jake tsked and I rolled my eyes.

“He was really fun, and it seemed like he normally gets all that he wants without asking twice, or even once. He was the one inviting us to the after party, Dave and Tom hadn’t been too thrilled… probably you wouldn’t have been either” I grinned and Jake nodded “Probably, yeah… and what happened at the party?” Jake seemed really interested and I told him about the dancing, drinks and that we decided to leave around two.
Jake had been sound asleep when I had come home, so he had no idea when I had arrived.

“How about I get us something for breakfast? I could use some fresh air and my ears still feel a little deaf” I tried to yawn to get the full hearing range back and Jake laughed “Sounds good to me, I would have gone but didn’t know when you would get up… I’ll grab a quick shower while your away and then we can decide what we do with the rest of the day together” Jake got up from his chair stole a quick kiss and headed to the bathroom.

I went to our bedroom grabbed a shirt and shorts, pulled my hair in a ponytail and washed my face and teeth quickly.

I pushed some money and my key into my pockets and made a quick detour to the bathroom, opened up, surprised Jake who just stripped naked and stood in the middle of the bathroom ready to get into the shower.

I smirked seeing his naked body before me, I quickly grabbed a hold of his face and pulled him down to me, kissing him deeply and then jogging out of the door only to hear Jake groan “Thanks Ella, now it’s gonna be a cold shower!”
I laughed yelling from the door, “I’ll make up for it later, babe” and headed outside, the bright midday sun hitting me straight in the face and putting a smile on my lips.

I walked down the street passed the shops and stores and made it to my favorite bakery in about 7 minutes. I turned around to look at one of the windows I passed when I collided into something or better yet someone.

“Whoa.. hey, watch out-” I male voice that felt quiet familiar now said and I felt strong arms holding me.
I righted myself and quickly took a step away “Sorry, I-” I finally saw who I had run into and I had to smile at him.

“You” I pointed at Matt who looked as perplexed. “Hey, yeah me…” A smile came over his face too and he put the sunglasses into the hem of his shirt so I could see his eyes.
He wore shorts and a muscle shirt and I couldn’t help but let my eyes run over him for a second.

“Morning sports after working so late?” I teased and he grinned “Yeah, I’m a sports guy, and since I knew you wouldn’t be in the gym today I thought I take it outside with weather like this.” He flirted and I had to laugh “Well, aren’t you charming… but I don’t think you really did that thinking of me.” I replied and his smile became bigger.

“You look sporty yourself, care to share the run?” He asked and I shook my head, fun how easily he was to just ask me and invite me to this, but I had to decline “No, I just look like sport, but it’s more a fake.” I stuck my tongue out to him “I’m actually getting me the big breakfast right now and will lounge on the couch afterwards” I could already imagine me there, watching movies with Jake and enjoying the day calmly.

“Ah that’s a shame, maybe I can convince you to join me another day? What you think? It’s not that bad, I mean you work in a fitness studio, you must love sports” He walked a step closer his eyes meeting mine and it was really hard to look away, that smile, his deep voice and those hazel eyes.

“I-I do love sports” For Jake mostly, but not all sports were something I would do. “I just don’t have to do them all, I’m completely fine with watching most of them.” I grinned and finally pulled myself back together, what was wrong with me staring at him like that.

“So how about we watch some sports together some time, or you watch me do some sports?” Matt continued and I frowned a little, was he just being nice or was this flirting intensifying. I wasn’t too sure, I had not been in the dating circle for over 6 years and even before didn’t really get all the tricks that were used.

“Yeah maybe, I have to get going you know… sorry for running into you” I apologized and added “I seem to have a habit falling into your band members” I meant it as a joke but Matt seemed confused frowning at me.

“Anyways, thanks for catching and see you” I walked a few steps when a hand to my arm stopped me “No problem, really. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable or anything…” He looked uncertain and I shook my head “No, its fine, but I really have to go now.”

“Okay, well then see you” He nodded and walked a few steps before he began jogging again, my eyes following his form until he was gone from my view and I let the air out of my lungs, what the hell had this been about?!

Matt’s POV

Well, wasn’t this my lucky day? I went out for a run and who did I run into, Ella. The girl that haunted my thoughts since I met her in the gym…

I had no idea why she wouldn’t leave my mind, but no matter how hard I thought about it the worse it got. And she did talk to me and I saw her checking me out, so she couldn’t be that disinterested, right?
Maybe she was a shy one?

I mean we didn’t really know each other and I was asking her out, well I didn’t really ask her out on a date, but to spend some time with me, but she reacted more shocked than anything else, which was kind of confusing.

I would have enjoyed spending some time with her, she was dressed for running, so why not run with me, and then she said she rather watched sports, well I wouldn’t have anything against a fan to cheer me on while playing basketball.

And what rewards I could ask for when I would score, oh yeah I might have some things in mind for that.
I made my way back home and thought about the way she acted all shy, what if I really was too outspoken for her taste?

Maybe I should put it down a notch, if she came from a relationship, if that was the hard time her friend meant the other night…

“Matt!” I turned around and saw Brian outside of his house. I waved back but when he came jogging towards me, I stopped and walked over to him.

“What gives you that grin on your face, man?” He asked “You didn’t see me or what?”
I hadn’t seen him really, “No actually not, because when I work out I work out, and I don’t look at women’s asses or god knows what you think work out is” I grinned while Brian just rolled his eyes.
“What are you planning next week? Up for some beach party?” Brian asked and I nodded, sure why the hell not “When?”

Brian shrugged “Well, haven’t thought about it, just talked to Zack earlier and he brought it up… Thought at your place would be a good thing” He smirked and I rolled my eyes “Why is always my place a good thing? You just live 2 fucking minutes from me, at the same gooddamn street?!” I sighed knowing I wouldn’t get out of this anyway.

“How about, your place, and we bring all the snacks and drinks? That sound fair?” Brian asked already typing into his phone.

“Yeah, whatever… so when were you planning it, so I am at least warned that you are standing before my door suddenly?” I asked and Brian grinned at the message he received.

“Wednesday is as good as any day, right?” He spoke more to himself than me and I shrugged, didn’t know I had any plans this week, so why the hell not, was about time to get drunk off my ass again, why not Wednesday…

“Yeah, gotta get home, grab a shower now, see you around” I waved but Brian was typing away on his phone and I rolled my eyes going the last couple of feet towards my home… what else could I do today, couldn’t come up with much so I lounged home and relaxed for the first time in ever, and hell… wasn’t that boring?!

Next day I decided to take up on my plan and head straight to the gym. I wanted to see Ella again, and maybe if my tactic would be right I could get her to have lunch with me.
She seemed a little shy, pulling back, but I knew you couldn’t withstand the Sanders charm in the end.

I was up early, since I had been hanging around the couch all day yesterday and napped a few dozen times as it seemed.
I walked in and this time not the blonde babe Gates banged was around, I was glad for that to be honest, but the one trainer with the name I couldn’t recall.

“Hey man” I nodded as greeting but walked past him into the back, where I would start my routine without anyone who had to help or instruct me.
“Hey” I heard him yell back but at least he didn’t follow me.

My eyes were directed at the door to the office rooms, waiting and willing it to open soon. When it opened I tensed up, almost making a step forward thinking it would be her, but was always disappointed because only other people came out.

Until “Hey Eric” her voice sounded from the entrance, I checked my watch and saw it was already past nine, damn she was late now wasn’t she. “I know, I know… but I had a good excuse.” She giggled and Eric laughed loudly, see now I knew his name again.

“I bet you have… Derek will be here and give you some details on what he plans for you.” Eric said and I moved a little closer forward.
“I know already, but thanks for the heads up.” She turned and walked towards the office, she wore her working top but not the shorts and I smiled, she still looked hot, even though the shorts would have revealed a lot more skin, and that would have been better in my opinion, but hey…

“Oh you” She looked at me a smile on her face “Told you I’ll be around” I grinned “Are you stalking me?” She laughed and I chuckled “Wait a second, I’m the celebrity here, if anyone is stalking its you” I pointed at her and she raised her eyebrows “Well, just because you are a little famous, doesn’t mean that I have to be the stalker, besides that I am at work here” She pointed out and I smirked, giving her the full dimples “Fine, you got me. But I have been here for about 2 hours already…” I justified myself with another smile and damn, why did this make so much fun with her.

“I need to get to work, so have fun… or are you leaving?” She asked and did I hear disappointed in her voice or was that just wishful thinking on my part?

“Nah, I’ll hang around a little more” I nodded my head towards the bar “Need something to cool down now” I gave her a look that she hopefully understood and since her cheeks flushed a little I guess she got my meaning.

“Well, then…” She seemed nervous and looked towards the door, damn.. I took a step away to make her feel a little better, I really had to find a middle way to come on to her, but how did I do that. When I wanted her to get what I wanted.

“Maybe we could get lunch together?” I asked carefully “I wanted to know how you liked the show the other night” I quickly added when I saw her perplexed face, at least she didn’t say no right away.

“I’m sorry, I gotta work… I can’t” She started shaking her head but I wouldn’t back down that easily.
“I know, in your break, just grabbing something at the store, sitting in the sun… and you tell me what you liked and didn’t like. I mean we can only get better if we know what the… fans?” I lifted my eyebrow questioning her, when she smiled and nodded I continued “…our fans think, you know?”

She seemed to consider my words but didn’t look to convinced yet “You know what, just think about my offer, I’ll do some more sports and then around noon you let me know, if I gotta go alone, or you join me, how does that sound?” I gave her a quick smile and turned around, maybe that would work out better.

“Okay, I’ll let you know… I have to see how far I get with work and all, but thanks for the offer anyway” I heard her voice behind me and couldn’t hide the smile on my face, so now let’s wait and see… either I had to up my game or this would work…
