After All That We've Been Through

Rule One: Don’t Talk About Fight Club

Brian's POV

After my encounter with Marley, I thought it best to lay low and retreat to my bunk until the guys got back from the bar. The last thing I needed was another black eye; though there was no way I was going to let Marley kick my ass. I had beaten the shit out of guys three times his size and a foot taller—Marley was a fucking joke. Caleb only got a shot because he caught me off guard. I just didn't understand why all the guys in Fatal Facade were so protective of Red. Was she precious cargo or something?

I grabbed a Budweiser from the fridge, avoiding eye contact with Gunnar and Caleb, as I made my way back to my bunk. I popped the top off my beer and too a long sip, enjoying the taste of alcohol on my tongue. Why drink water when beer had plenty of it in it? This and the smoke with Kady was exactly what I needed after a show, and don’t even get me started on that amazing romp earlier…

I smiled to myself as the memory flashed through my mind. I could still picture her hot little body pressed against the wall, screaming my name and taking each deep thrust. Damn, it had been a great lay! Too bad I couldn't brag to the guys about it, though it was probably better that way. I made a promise to Kady and I intended on keeping it, even if that meant letting the guys think I was talking to fucking Michelle of all people. Even though I would rather cut off my fingers and never play guitar again then talk to that bitch.

But enough about her, it was time to get this damn melody out of my head and down on paper. I quickly pulled on my headphone, took out my iPad, and pulled the piece of paper with the lyrics Kady had inspired out of my pockets. Oh, yeah these were gold!

I feel insane every single time
I'm asked to compromise
Cause I'm afraid and stuck in my ways
And that's the way it stays
So how long did I expect love to outweigh ignorance?
By that look on your face I may have forced the scale to tip

I'm not insane, I'm not insane
I'm not insane, I'm not - not insane

"That's fucking sick," I mutter to myself as start to hum the melody that had been stuck in my head all night. Sanders and Jimmy are gonna go ape shit for this, I thought, feeling pretty fucking pleased with myself.

It was then that I heard footsteps running through the bus. No screaming followed, so I knew that the flying feet didn't belong to Jimmy. What the hell? Who else would fly through the bus like that? I quickly looked up from my iPad just in time to see Kady run by. I raised a brow and slowly sat up, watching her dive onto the bed.

“What the hell?” I sighed, trying to decide of I should go check on her or keep writing. Marley warned me to stay away but what was he, my fucking mother? Fuck him. If I wanted to check on my... friend then I would do so.

"What the hell are you getting yourself into, Gates?" I asked myself as I set down my things and pulled the curtain closed on my bunk. Hopefully everyone would think I was asleep. I looked down the hall to see Gunnar and Caleb going outside with Marley and Ryn. Perfect! I smirked to myself as I made my way down the hall to the master suite.

As I reach the door, I saw Kady kicking her feet and screaming into the pillow. I couldn’t help but chuckle at how cute she was. "He that bad of a kisser?" I asked, coming in and shutting the door behind me.

Kady whipped her head around to give me a dirty look before sitting up on the bed. "Why are you always fucking here?" She sighed, falling backwards to stare at the ceiling. "Are you stalking me?"

I laughed again before sitting on the edge of the bed. "Well last time I checked, you were on my tour bus and co-headlining with my band. So no, I don't this qualifies at stalking. I dabbled in stalking a few years ago but it wasn't really my scene," I joked, getting a small smile from her. Her blue eyes sparkled when she smiled and something about that enticed me. Whoa, where the hell did that thought come from? "But I guess if you’re into that sort of thing..."

"Okay ex-stalker, then why are you in my room? Specially after Marley tried to kick your ass?" Kady rolled over and looked at me, leaning up on one elbow. She looked slightly amused and the small smile on her lips was making my heart race faster in my chest. What the hell was going on with me? I never acted like this around women!

It was then that I noticed she was still wearing her Violet Rogue outfit and my eyes wandered to her slight bulge of cleavage. I quickly I tore my eyes away from her perfect breasts and picked a very interesting spot on the wall to look at. Damn it, Haner don’t ruin this now!

"Please, Marley was not going to kick my ass,” I scoffed. “I would have had him on the floor in a second if I wanted to. I was playing by your 'don't ask, don't tell' rule of our friendship. I've beat the shit out of guys a lot bigger than Marley... the scrawny little shit." Marley was very gangly and reminded me of a taller version of Johnny. He obviously wasn’t in the looks competition with me.

"Great so now you're a ex-stalker and a member of fight club. Perfect!" Kady sighed again, flopping back over on her back.

I smiled and looked down at her, examining her body in the very tight and provocative outfit. I guess I didn't notice it earlier because it was dark but now it was all I could concentrate on. She looked so fucking hot and I wanted nothing more than to pull those clothes off her again.

"Rule one, don't talk about fight club. Rule two, you either need to pick a position to lay in where I don't want to jump on top of you, or change your clothes." I bit down on my knuckle as she slowly sat up straight, looking at me with a small blush. Well, if that right there wasn’t the single hottest thing I’d ever seen, I didn’t know what was.

“I guess I’ll change then,” she grumbled, getting up and moving to her suitcase. I couldn’t help but watch her ass sway in the tight leather as she crossed the room. Damn…

"You can change in here if you want to. I can close my eyes," I offered, only for Kady to point a warning finger at me.

"Fat chance, Gates. You've already seen enough for today," Kady interjected before leaving the room.

When the door shut behind her, I laid back on the bed and put my hands behind my head. This was the room we usually reserved for the guy who brought a girl back from the after party. Which was why Matt had no problem giving it up. I chuckled lightly, remembering my last time sitting on the bed like this. I did even remember the girls name or what she looked like. I just remembered I was beyond stoned and she gave an awesome BJ.

Hmm… I wonder what Kady would look like sucking my dick? I could just picture those perfect lips moving up and down over my cock and I couldn’t help but let out a light moan.

"What the fuck are you doing now?" I prop my head up to see Kady looking at me from the door, wearing a pair of sweatpants and a very familiar looking Pantera T-shirt on. She raised her brow at me and put her hands on her hips, waiting for an answer.

"Just remembering some good times in this room," I said with a smirk as she came and sat down next to me. "And I think you stole my T-shirt," I said nonchalantly, casually glancing over at her.

"You wish, buddy," she snapped, looking it over. "It's the same one I left in the bathroom earlier today."

"Then why does it have a hole in the right armpit and the name Haner on the tag?" I chuckled as I sat up. Kady gapped at me before crossing her arms over her chest. "You are delusional," she insisted, staring me down.

I chuckled and laid back down, looking back up at the ceiling. "If you don't believe me, check for yourself." A few seconds later I heard her groan and I sat up just in time to see her about to pull the shirt over her head. "Wait!" I said, holding up my hand before she can take it off. I swear to god if I saw her breasts again I would pounce on her. "It looks good on you, just wear it and put it back where you found it in the morning."

Kady sighed and then flopped down next to me on the bed. "Fine, but where the hell is my shirt?"

"On the back of the door," I laughed, rolling over on my side.

"Well you just have all the fucking answers, don't you?" She was silent for a moment before she continued. "Well since you have all the answers… what the hell do I do about Marley?"

Well that was the question of the hour wasn't it? If it were up to me, I'd say break the poor bastards heart so that he'd leave her alone. But I knew that he was more than a band mate: they were best friends.

"I guess just give him a chance and see if any feelings are there," I sighed, mentally kicking myself. I was going against all of my better judgment, especially since I was still trying to win her over. What the hell was wrong with me?

Kady cuddle into my side and I put my arm around her as I continued. "Just tell him you don't want to jeopardize your friendship or some bullshit like that and see what happens. I don't... I'm not the love expert!" I rambled, fed up with this conversation.

Kady giggled into my side before kissing my cheek. "Thank you for everything you've done for me today," she yawned, her head settling on my chest. “You’re a great friend.”

I froze at her words. Whoa, whoa, whoa… I know I said we could be friends but that’s not what I actually meant! Kady was supposed to come crawling into my arms to escape that bullshit, thank me for talking about it. Fuck, now I was in the friend zone…

Kady's POV

"Good Night, Montreal! You've been a great crowd!" I yelled into the microphone, staring out into the colossal crowd. They were screaming so loud that I could feel their energy radiating off of me, making me feel alive and invigorated. Damn, I loved this feeling!

They were chanting our name and the moment was so surreal that I never wanted it to end, but I knew that we needed to get the stage packed up to be in city in New York tomorrow.

"Keep it real and we will be back again soon! Good night!" Caleb called over the roaring crowd as I threw guitar picks into the crowd.

Tonight was one of the few closing shows that we had on the tour and we made sure to soak up all the fan love that we could get. This was fucking amazing!

"I wish we could close every night," I said as we finally exited the stage. I passed off my guitar to the stagehand as Marley wrapped his arm around my waist.

"That would be so fucking sick," he said before kissing my forehead. "You nailed that show tonight! And that high note at the end of Miles Away.... damn!"

"Thanks," I said with a smile as I pulled away. Marley always forgot that he smelled like a dead animal after the show. He never failed to work up a sweat drumming his heart out. "But you, my dear, need a shower...." I said, trying to wave his stink away as I willed myself not to gag.

"Yes! That show fucking rocked!" Caleb yelled, he and Gunnar joining us backstage. "These Canadians sure know how to make a show fun," he said throwing his arms around me too.

"Kady pile!" Gunnar cried.

The next think I knew, I was in the middle of a man stink hug and I did everything in my power not to vomit. "Okay, okay!" I yelled, finally pushing them away. "Yes it was a great show but you guys smell like skunk bathed in liquor...my god," I coughed, waving my hand in front of my watering eyes.

"Listen, let's all go shower and go out on the town for a couple of hours. New York is just across the boarder so we should be fine as long as we leave by five in the morning," Caleb said, putting his bass in its case.

"But what about fucking Sevenfold? We’re still on their bus for another week," Marley asked, looking peeved.

He had been rude and on edge toward them since his encounter with Brian two weeks ago. I wasn't sure what his little vendetta was against all of them all of a sudden, but I was getting fucking sick of it. Caleb and his issues with Zacky and Matt were enough.

Last week Caleb and Matt got into a screaming match on the road. I didn't catch all of it, but it was something about a broken contract because someone didn't show up for a record label meeting. I still didn't understand that whole issue and I'm sure it wasn't going to go away anytime soon.

"Good thing I got your new bus here today," Ryn said, appearing at my right shoulder. She had a wicked smirk on her lips but she looked a little worse for wear. Her blond hair was disheveled and her makeup was slightly smeared. If I didn't know any better, I would say that she final gave into Zacky's charm. "It's the big black bus with your new logo on it next to Sevenfold's. It has two bathrooms.... your welcome."

"Thank god, I'm so fucking sick of the major sausage fest," Gunnar grunted as he took out a cigarette and headed off the stage toward the bus.

"No fucking way, Ryn! You rock!" Caleb said running toward her to give her a hug.

She held up her hands to stop him with a slight cringe. "No offense, but you all smell like shit. Shower first and then we can talk about hugs," she said, her eyes meeting mine.

"See, I don't make this shit up," I said with a pleased look on my face. It was so nice to have another girl on tour.

"Shut up, Sis." Caleb ruffled my hair before turning back to Ryn. "Will you join us at our celebratory drinking party?"

"Ehh, I'll see how you smell after a shower," she teased. "Better get moving though, Mason said we have to leave early in the morning.

"Better hurry then, Cal," I teased. "I know how long it takes you to look 'ready for the ladies'."

"Haha, very funny," he sneered before grabbing his brown beanie and following Gunnar.

"And Fitz," Ryn said, using her new nickname for Marley. "I have some ideas to run by you on your new look that I am designing." Ryn’s eyes met mine and she threw me a small wink. Oh, I could literally kiss her right now! She was giving me a moment to breath without him glued to my hip! Thank fucking god! "Let's go," she insisted, running her fingers through her tangled hair and dragging Marley away.

"See you in fifteen," Marley said before going out of sight.

I sigh and kneel down to put my guitar away once I was alone. It was nice to have a moment to myself because after sleeping cuddled in Brian’s embrace two weeks ago, I hadn't had a moment of peace. I had taken his advice in giving Marley a chance but nothing was really different. He was just a little more clingy and touchy-feely. Marley and I hadn't talked about our relationship or our feelings, which left me even more confused.

"Hey," said a voice from out of nowhere, making me jump. "Easy, it's just me."

I looked up to see Brian jump off one of the large speaker boxes on the side of the stage. "Way to give me a fucking heart attack!" I said, giving him a shove. Brian chuckled and tossed me a bottle of water.

"Nice show," he said casually, leaning against a pillar. My eyes raked over him and his flawless physique. His hair was spiked in every direction and he wore a leather jacket, black V-neck t-shirt, and ripped jeans. He looked sexy as hell but I had to remember that we were just friends. "I liked the new songs and I could really get used to this new look of yours." He wagged is eyebrows at me and looked me up and down.

I rolled my eyes and ignored his last comment, though I was flattered. Tonight Ryn had me dressed in a low cut white gold beaded shirt, skin tight leather pants, and stiletto heels. My hair was curled at the ends with lots of volume. If I didn't look like a rock star before, I did now. The guys always cat called from the crowd and every time I wanted to punch the bastard. I wasn't some prized slut!

"Caught that did you?" I took a swig of the water, picked up my guitar case, and set it aside. "I love our new album. It really tells the story of who we are as a band."

"Yeah, I am starting to see that," Brian said, looking down at his feet with a small frown. "And your new bus looks pretty fucking sweet."

I chuckled and sat down on one of the boxes as the stage crew worked around us. "Sounds like someone's jealous," I teased, pulling out two cigarettes and handing one to Brian.

I watched as Gates took a drag of his cigarette and then looked around. He seemed distracted and slightly distant. "Yeah something like that..."

"If I didn't know any better, Mr. Gates, I would say you're going to miss me," I said smugly as I slowly stood up. I gasped when I looked up to see Brian standing in front of me, inches away. His dark brown eyes stared into mine and I felt my breath catch in my throat. I bit my lip as I looked up at him, longing for his perfect lips to touch mine.

"You wish, Red," he said with a sexy smirk on his lips as his hands reached out to tickle me. I roared with laughter and tried to pull away from Brians's magic fingers, but he had me pinned right to the wall.

"You—won't—have any—haha—eye candy to—haha—look at," I giggled, trying to squirm away. "Whatever will you do?" Suddenly Brian stopped, his forehead touching mine. "You are more than just eye candy," he said, his eyes dead serious. "What is your real name?"

I stared into his chocolate brown eyes, my mouth agape. This question and sudden seriousness came out of left field. "It's Kadence.... Kadence Parker...."

Brian chuckled light, pulling away from me slightly, though his hands remained on my sides. "It's honestly perfect..." He shook his head and then looked back at me. He leaned forward and let his lips lightly graze mine before quickly pulling away. He had a look of shock on his face as he quickly turned away from me and headed towards the bus. I felt a slight shock from his touch and I was stunned that he was walking away.

"Brian wait..." I called after him but he just kept walking. Who the hell kisses someone out of the blue and then just takes off?

Zacky's POV

"Haner, did you send me the link to the new song you've been working on?" I called as I leaned out of my bunk with my Mac on my lap. I was in the middle of writing new music and doing stock checks for Vengeance University and I needed something to distract me for a few minutes.

Brian stuck his head out of the bathroom door, towel drying his hair. We had just finished our show twenty minutes ago and we were each taking turns using the shower. I was lucky enough to go first and I was thankful for the hot water.

"Yeah, should be in the file labeled 'new shit' on the Zip drive," he said with a small shrug. He disappeared back into the bathroom and started to whistle a new melody that I hadn't heard before.

"What are you whistling?" I called again, still leaning out of my bunk.

This time Brian appeared running his fingers through his hair to create his signature spiked look. "I'm not sure yet, but it will come out eventually."

"Excuse me," Ryn sang as she pushed past Brian with a suitcase in hand. "Looking good, Haner. Got a hot date tonight?" She asked him with a wink.

What the hell was she talking about and why did she have a suitcase? Did she know something we didn't?

Last I knew Brian was getting back together with Michelle... unless... Was she hooking up with Haner behind my back?!

"If you mean drinking with Jimmy and Johnny, then yeah, you've got me pegged perfectly," Brian joked and Ryn stuck out her tongue in response.

"Well use protection," she teased and Brian raised his middle finger out the bathroom door as she disappeared into the master suite. My eyes followed her curvy figure as she swayed her hips as she walked. Damn that woman knew how to drive me crazy.

Without hesitation, I set down my Mac and my business planner and followed her into the back room. I was tired of playing cat and mouse with her and damn it I was going to get some answers! She was not going to do another thing before she told my why she disappeared, didn't return my phone calls, and why I was getting the cold shoulder! It was all bullshit!

As I entered the room, I found Ryn bent over the dresser drawer and putting clothing in the suitcase. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked, admiring her ass in those tight jeans.

Ryn turned around to look at me and wiggled her ass slightly before sitting up on her knees. Why was she tormenting me? "I'm leaving." She said simply, a sexy smirk playing on her lips.

"You're what?" I gapped, leaning on the doorframe. "Do the members of Fatal Facade know? Can you really just up and leave with your contract?"

Ryn laughed musically as she pulled the last bit of clothing into the suitcase. She stood up with the suitcase and walked towards me. "Don't be silly, Zacky," she said, patting my arm. "They’re coming with me! Their new tour bus finally arrived."

Without hesitating, I closed the door and pressed Ryn’s back to it. "You're not going anywhere," I growled before I captured her lips with mine. Ryn immediately gave me access to her mouth and out tongues danced. I press her body firmly against the door, my hands moving down her arms. She let a light moan escape her lips before I pulled away.

"Why did you leave?" I asked breathlessly, my forehead pressed to hers. Her brown eyes turned sad and she looked away from me.

"Zack..." She sighed and then bit her lip. "I left because I thought we were just a fling. I heard you talking to Matt the one night and you were talking about cutting off your 'lose ends' before the tour ended..."

I put my hands on either side of her face and force her eyes to meet mine. "I was never talking about you, Ry," I almost laughed. This whole situation was silly now. "I was talking about selecting vendors for Vengeance University... I had three I was trying to decide between."

Ryn's jaw dropped and she gapped at me for a moment before throwing her head back laughing. "I'm such an idiot!" She laughed before crashing her lips to mine. I picked her up and moved her to the bed, pulling her shirt over her head...

"Zacky? Earth to Zacky?"

I shook my head coming out of my reverie. I looked up to see Kady standing in front of me with an impatient look on her face. "Yeah, sorry," I said with a sheepish grin. I felt slightly guilty for not realizing she was there. It was then that I noticed that she looked completely different. She was all glammed out with very tight and stylish clothing on. Damn she looked hot. "What's up?"

"Have you seen Brian?" She asked, tapping her heel nervously.

"No, he said he was going outside for a smoke and that was fifteen minutes ago. Have you seen Ryn?" I countered and she raised her brow at me with a small smile.

"She is in our new bus going over some new promotion stuff with Marley," She answered with a smirk. "Why you guys have plans tonight?"

I stood up and walked over to the fridge and grabbed two beers. I popped the top on both and handed one to Kady. "I don't know. What about you? You've been hanging out with Gates a lot lately."

I raised my eyebrows at her as she nervously played with the bottle label. "He's been giving me guitar lessons," she said quickly but I wasn't sure if I believed her. Kady looked down at her hands and the back at me. "Well tell him I stopped by when you see him. Have fun with Ryn..." Kady threw me a wink before heading off the bus.

"What did she want?" Brian asked, stepping out of the bathroom once Kady had left.

"I didn't know you were here," I gapped, watching him pull out a cigarette as he leaned against the doorframe.

"Well you were over there jerking off and drooling so I figured you didn't want to be disturbed. But anyway, what did Kady say?" Brian asked. His body language looked lazy but I could tell he was hiding his true feelings.

"Not sure, she didn't say. She just wanted to know where you were." I raised my brow and looked at Brian. "What's going on there?"

"Nothing," he shrugged after taking a drag. "If she comes by again, tell her I'm asleep..."

So, drama is on it's way, I guess??

Once again, you devious devil, you left us with a huge cliffhanger :P I really hope this situation doesn't ruin Kady and Syn's relationship and that Marley and Caleb don't do anything more stupid once they find out that Syn and Kady are together. Christ knows that they need to grow up and sort whatever issues they have going on with the A7x guys, especially Caleb.

Oh, Miss Kayla, you drive me insane with your goddamn cliff hangers! It should be a crime for you to do that to us :P haha Update soon x
