Abduction

Mia's Pov
Oh my god, who knew I'd start this day so nicely? And by 'nicely' I mean meeting Elwin. He's so charming and elegant and perfect. I mean he's just.... Gah, Mia! What is wrong aith you? But I still cannot stop thinking about him, he's so good.

Ever since I came back to the dorm six hours ago, my mind has been so much occupied. I can't think about anything or anyone else right now.

"Mia, watch where you're going." I heard my friend Elise say when I bumped into her. "Sorry, I just..." I just what? I stood there like a fool, utterly speechless. I didn't know what to say, I.....

"Well, if you're not wearing your specs then you're bound to bump into someone or something." Elise said, patting my shoulder. Wasn't I wearing my glasses all this time? I thrust my hands into my pocket but found nothing. Where are my glasses? Did I lose them? But I never lose them, then where..... 'Hey, can I try your glasses?'

Elwin had taken my glasses to try them. And then he didn't return them. Shit, did I leave them at Star Bucks'?

"Elise, I think I left my glasses at Star Bucks' this morning. i'm going to get them." I said, grabbing my hoodie. "Mia, you left your glasses at Star Bucks' in the morning. And now you realize it? Where's your head?" Elise said with a laugh.

My head definitely isn't with me right now....."I'll be back soon." I said before leaving. I don't know what is wrong with me. I've never felt like this before for sure. I mean, I had talked to a few guys in the past. But Elwin is so different than all of them. His deep voice, infectious smile and everything about him is different, and it's not letting me remain peacefully.

"Watch out, young lady!" I heard a shout and realized that I was about to get hit by a truck. Why was I walking in the middle of the road? I should seriously stop thinking about Elwin right now.

"Uh, sorry." I said and walked along the footpath. I reach Star Bucks' and head over to the counter. "Hey Billy." I said to the cashier. "Mia, how can I help you? Do you want your regular black coffee with no sugar? Or something different today?" He said with a smile.

"Billy, I'm not here for coffee. I think I left my glasses here this morning." I said. "You can check the tables or ask any other staff about it." Billy said and I nodded. I looked around the place and also asked almost all the workers. But unfortunately, they all said 'no' as their answer.

"Found it, Mia?" Billy asked and I shook my head. "Maybe you should ask your friend who was with you. Probably he took it by mistake." He said. Could it be that Elwin took my glasses by mistake?

I should call him and ask. But I can't as I don't have his number. He's the one who has my number, so he should be the one calling me if he has my glasses. I even told him that I'm blind without my specs.......so if he had them he would have called, right?

Oh god, I don't wanna stay blind until he calls me. I have to do something.

"Billy, where's Johnny's bar?" I asked a moment later. I clearly remember Elwin had mentioned this name durung our conversation. Billy luckily new where that bar was and gave me the address.

"Are you planning to go there?" He asked and I simply nodded. "That's a great place. Have fun." He said with a smile. Sure, that might be a great place. But I'm going there hoping to find out something about Elwin, so that I can get back my specs.

"Thanks, Billy." I said and left from there.

What am I doing? I don't go to bars, I've never been in one before. Then why am I going now? Because of some guy I met a couple of hours ago? No, I'm going there for my.....glasses, of course!

I shrugged away these thoughts and followed the address I had been given. I entered Johnny's Bar about twenty minutes later. Yes, it was that far away!

I found it a quiet place unlike most of the other bars. But maybe it's so quiet in here because it's only afternoon and no one comes to bars at this time? Maybe......

"Hey, can I help you?" A guy, probably the bartender asked me with a smile. "Sure. Do you know any Elwin who comes here?" I asked straightaway. "Elwin...." The guy pondered for a moment before saying, "No, at least I don't know anyone with that name."

I sighed and rubbed my temples. Oh god, my head was pounding as I have to focus more on everything now that I don't have my glasses with me.

"But I can check for you. You seem kinda stressed...." He said and I smiled. "Thank you so much. It means a lot." I said and he flashed a smile. "I'll be back soon." He said and disappeared somewhere.

I looked around and thought, this place isn't that bad. The guy came back and I could tell by the look on his face that something was wrong. "I'm really sorry, miss. But we don't have any customer record of an 'Elwin'." He said.

"But he himself told me this morning that he was here, a month ago or so." I said, shaking my head. "I feel terrible to be unable to help you, dear." The guy said. "It's okay, thanks for trying though." I said and he nodded.

I was about to leave when I heard the bar guy call me back. "Hey, miss." He said and I turned around to him. "Maybe I can help if you give me some description of this Elwin." He said and I quickly went back to him.

"Okay. So, he's tall, five ten probably. And he's got...." I paused as Elwin's face popped in front of my eyes. "Miss?" I heard the bar guy say and snapped out of my imaginations. "Uh...he's, he's got a perfect nose and also jawline. And brown eyes and also a bit of facial hair, right under his chin." I said and found myself out of breath.

"Well, we have a customer according to the description you just gave." He said and I started to think positively for once. Please let it be Elwin, please.

"But his name is Brian, not Elwin." He said and I died.

Now I'm thinking I should consider buying new glasses. Or else I'll have to stay half blind until the next time I meet Elwin. I might fall under a truck and die too! Which I don't want because I wanna see Elwin again.....and also because I have to stay alive and do a lot of things!

It's definitely not because of Elwin......right?
