Big Not So Bad Wolf

Allie's POV:

The guys all looked great. I'm not sure about the sunglasses but to each their own.

All of us girls were dolled up and ready to go. Phoebe looks stunning in her navy blue dress. Aurorabelle was a complete knock out in her red lace dress. A black lace top and purple skirted dress fit Autumn exceptionally. I'm dawned in a gorgeous green dress.

We're on our way to a gathering put on my the council. Zacky explained to me the council, which was run by the High Alpha, governs all of the werewolves. It wasn't until hearing this that I realized exactly what a big deal it was that Zacky was to be the next High Alpha.

The limo pulls up to the gigantic castle mansion that will be holding the event. Leaning over Zacky tells me this is the current High Alpha, Theorion's, house. We exit the car and make our way inside.

A perky blonde barely over eighteen greets us. She informs us Theorion wishes to see us. We follow her to a room.

She opens the door motioning us inside. The eight of us step in. She closes the door making her exit.

The man sitting behind the desk is exactly as Zacky described him. I have no doubt he's the High Alpha. Theorion stands up making his way around the front of his desk.

"I see you've all found your mates. How wonderful." He says earnestly.

Stepping forward he greets each of us girls with a kiss on to tops of our hands. He introduces himself to all of us more specifically me. Only after he has gotten the names of the females does he shake the guys' hands.

"You have all been invited here tonight to congratulate you for the exceptional work you did in handling the vampires. Packs across the United States have spoken of how you were courteous enough to contact them before entering their cities. The pack from Manhattan spoke highly of how discreet you were.

We thank you for taking care of that problem. We're happy to here you also received justice for your fallen brother." He says commending is for a job well done.

It saddened me that I would never have the chance to know Jimmy. He sounds like he was an amazing person from all the stories Zacky and the guys have told me. Zacky also assured me that he would have loved me.

He tells us to enjoy ourselves.

The night hadn't been going as nearly as awful as I had first thought. There were some really great people here. I got to meet a the alpha of an all female pack from Santa Monica.

Zacky stuck close to my side when a member from a southern Florida pack got too close giving me the creeps. Later his alpha came over to apologize for the man's disturbance

The girls and I dance it up. Loving the music being played. I'd lost count after the seventh song.

We walk back to the table. Each of us takes our seat. The music suddenly stops.

Theorion stands calling every one to attention.

"Thank you all for coming tonight. We're here to celebrate the Avenged Sevenfold pack. Tonight their alpha claims his rightful place as High Alpha." He explains to the entire room.

I turn to Zacky. It's clear he hadn't been expecting to become the High Alpha tonight. None of us had expected it either.
