A Little Pain Is Worth The Pleasure

Calling a cab for Brian was the best choice he was too much of a risk to even drive himself home I came back inside to see Matt and Dani still chatting about their interest but he couldn't make her laugh but I could this was just too mushy for my eyes so I decided to lighten up the mood and tell a few jokes Matt probably thought I was moving in on his new girl but that's not the case it began pouring rain which meant I had to walk home in the rain soaked and looking like a dirty dog I wasn't anywhere close to finding the girl of my dreams just yet I needed a fun, weird, laughs at all my jokes kind of girl. But I have yet to find her.


I was already exhausted from playing all day and smelling like a dog didn't make the situation better I knew we had a few festivals coming up but playing all of these shows had become tiresome and I need a break I mean bands were allowed to take breaks right ? I walked into my dining room where my mother had already prepared dinner and she made my favorite and she left my house clean knowing I would make chaos she even hired a maid not like I need one.


"Hi Mr. Sullivan I'm your new house keeper Faye." She stuck out her hand for me to shake.

"It's just Jimmy." I smiled at her.

"Your mother hired me on the spot." Faye began cleaning right away.

"Well my house is cleaned you don't need to-" something stopped me in my tracks and I made a phone call to Matt right away.

"Hey Jimmy are you looking for Matt?" I recognized the voice right away.

"Yes Dani is he around this is urgent." I whispered at the other end.

"He's coming out right now." Dani sounded so cheerful a little bit too cheerful.

"Hey Jimbo what's up ?" Matt finally answered.

"We have a problem." I replied.

"Okay what's the problem ?" Matt asked.

"My mother hired a maid." I said.

"And that's a bad thing why ?" Matt had went into the bathroom once more because I could hear him moving things around. He had to be looking for something after he stopped moving we went back to discussing my new maid Faye.

"I'm saying it's a bad thing because she's really cute." I said nervously.

"Okay dude calm down she's just a girl and maybe she's nervous." Matt said.

''You're right." I sighed and ended my call with Matt I saw Faye in the kitchen making me lunch and washing up the dishes.

"Okay Faye you can go home." I said.

"Alright Mr. Sullivan I'll see you in two weeks." Faye smiled.

The ended and I wanted my sleep and nice long shower today has been exhausting enough this was all getting to me but I went to bed just thinking about Faye she was such a great help and I could get used to having her around she would be great company for me so yes I'm taking his advice for once and I'll see if we could actually be a thing.

Faye came back the next morning to make me breakfast she had her hair up and her body language changed completely she seemed more relaxed which I liked but she loved to be alone and work quietly without distraction and I was too much of a distraction for even myself and that's too much to handle even on my plate.

... This could be the best decision of my life.
