A Little Pain Is Worth The Pleasure

I saw my mother and Zack having an interesting intense stare down I swear I was stuck in an western movie but the two people fighting for me were my mother and Zack and I had to admit I was so honored to be the they were fighting for Zack had a smug look on his face and my mother guarded his doorway this was going to be a long night but I was going with Zack one way or another and my mother is just going to have to deal with it because Zack is not the guy she thinks he is the press has a thing for exposing the false truth about any celebrity including the Avenged guys she was determined to take me back to Iowa with her but I'm old enough to make my own decisions I mean don't get me wrong I loved my mother but if she's trying to take me away from Zack she's going to try a lot harder than that.


I came to California to escape my dark past in Iowa I've been doing a great job at hiding it especially from Zack but I knew that I have to tell him soon or he'll start to ask questions and I loved him so why keep something like that from him? I wanted to take this Christmas party by storm but my mom wasn't going to let that happen so we all came to a comparable compromise I hope I don't regret this.


"How would you like to join us?" I broke the silence between them.


"I'd love to just let me get ready." My mother is not going to let me leave her side but she's here to take me back to Iowa and I wasn't going anywhere.


"Sam can I speak with you?" Zack pulled me outside.


"What is it?" I asked.


"Are you sure about this?" Zack asked.


"Yes that's the only way she'll get off my back." I whispered.


My mom came downstairs in a long dress that showed off her wonderful figure she knows how to make an entrance I knew we were an hour late but Matthew would understand and I'm going to be off the hook for at least one night but the war with my mother and Zack was far from over.


The party was just getting started Zack and I were the first to arrive the other guests will trickle in a little bit later a long haired redhead girl walked up behind me she wore these square rimmed glasses and she was taller than me or Zack so yeah she had a height advantage she smiled so clearly even her teeth were perfect okay she was perfect for Matthew and Zack really took a liking to her but she better watch out because Zack's already taken.


"Hi I'm Rita." she smiled.


"I'm Samantha but you can call me Sam." I smiled back.



"Do you want anything to drink?" Rita asked.


"No I'm fine." I replied.


I stood at the punch bowl just standing around like a complete idiot this was so embarrassing but then I started up a conversation with Michelle she was in one of her moods because of the court case with Brian and she was not in the mood Brandon was drunk but we striked up a conversation about music and bands I found out we had so much in common and then he led me upstairs... And then the unthinkable happened.
