A Little Pain Is Worth The Pleasure

Today carried on as normal I began making my coffee run for Dani and myself after I told her the news she came right over and we talked for a while before she had to leave for her new job at a bar called Johnny's Bar supposedly it was the best bar in town I'll be the judge of that I tapped my fingers on my desktop while I waited for Justin to text me back see Justin was my long distance boyfriend that lived in Virginia of course it was hard but we made it work he was also a guitarist in an upcoming band but if he finds out how I'm paying for my college expenses he will not be a happy camper.


I stared at my computer screen for the next hour and a half until someone who I have never seen before wanted to have a conversation with me this was starting to creep me out he seemed sweet and all but I don't have conversations with anyone I don't know there are some crazy people out there I always stayed to myself when it came to making new "friends". after what seemed like an eternity Danielle finally called me to offer me a job at the bar and everybody in the world knows that I need a job.

... This could be a great thing for me.


Justin finally asked up the courage to come and visit me and I waited for the day he would come out to California and visit me before I moved out here with Dani Justin and I would have Skype dates every Tuesday night and now I get to see him in the flesh he wants to spend a week with me which I was beyond excited for I really need him especially right now in this exact moment.

I haven't heard from Dani all night maybe she turned her phone off this wasn't like her I decided to text her and tell her that Justin was flying in and she would have a chance to meet him soon I decided to make an agenda because I'm a little bit obsessive when it comes to things like this he could make me smile without even trying a little thought ran through my head it was very naughty though but Justin has a different plan well it's his master plan as he calls it.


"Hey Dani." I said.

"I still haven't heard from you about the job offer." Dani smiled.

"Oh I will get back to you on that." I plopped down on the couch.

"So I have some amazing news to share with you." I smiled like an idiot.

"Okay what is it ?" Dani asked.

"Justin's flying in really soon." I replied.

"Oh so the guy that's been cheating on you for 2 months is finally coming to visit hmm very intriguing." Dani nodded.

"How do you know he's cheating on me ?" I asked.

"I do have the proof." Dani pulled out her cellphone and pulled up Justin's Facebook profile and there it was clear as day Justin and another girl kissing in the background. I sunk back in the couch completely devastated.


.... So I must have missed something.

The next morning I tried to gather all of my thoughts and process what I knew and when Justin gets here trust me he will be confronted and put on the spot. Dani and I started our new jobs at Johnny's Bar around three and I looked a horrible mess but before I could even get my day started I had to message Justin.


Hey babe,
I just wanted to tell you that I found out that you cheated on me and if this is true don't even bother coming out here if you're not 100% serious but if you are caught lying to me you will feel my wrath and so will your new girlfriend.

And with that, my morning begun as usual I put on some Atreyu and sang my heart out to Ex's And Oh's my dance moves were not as great as the next guy but I tried and I didn't care who was watching me I went into the kitchen humming Dan's guitar solo which isn't weird at all.

After the song ended, I decided to text Dani and she would meet me downtown and we will meet up and go inside together there was no doubt that we were both nervous as shit but were strong women I also needed a pet to call my own Dani had Fred and I had well nobody and it was really sad.

Going into this new business I had no clue about scared me but I was ready to start making some money to pay off my college expenses and enjoy my life with my best friend she was just as excited as I was so this could be a great opportunity for the both of us.

... I'm ready to begin something new.
