Follow The Tides, Wherever You've Been

I Only Hope To See You Again

*Still Brian's point of view*
I woke up several hours later, and looked at the clock. 3:00. It was only three in the afternoon, I'm glad I didn't sleep the whole day. Man, I was starving, I'd barely had any breakfast this morning, since we had to get Bradley, and I hadn't had any lunch. I looked over to my side, and Bradley was still sleeping soundly. She probably needed some rest, anyway, the hospital wore her out, or maybe, I did. I smiled to myself, and got out of bed. I slipped my clothes back on, and headed downstairs, careful not to wake Bradley with any of my activity.

I made it downstairs, and headed to the kitchen. I grabbed some food, and decided to make Bradley some lunch, too, since she had yet to eat anything today.

"Hey, bro, where have you been?" Matt said, walking into the kitchen.

"Was just taking a nap, but I woke up, and I'm starving, so I'm fixing lunch. You want some?"

"It's 3:00 in the afternoon, Bri, that's a late lunch." He laughed at me. "Nah, man, I don't want any, I already ate earlier, with the rest of the guys. We went down to the beach, and the boardwalk. Thought we'd let Bradley rest for a while, before asking her to do much activity."

"Yeah..." Ha. Yeah, right, she'd already done much activity.

"Looks like you're fixing for more than one."

"You know how I eat, dude, and I'm making some lunch for Bradley, too, since she hasn't ate yet."

"That's kind of you." He slightly smiled at me. "Well I'm going to head back down to the beach, with the guys. You should come join us, and Bradley, too, if she's up to at least laying on the beach. She's probably like feeling the sun, again." He laughed.

"Yeah, man. I'll head down there after we have lunch."

"See ya in a bit."

"See ya."

*Bradley's point of view*

I woke up later in the afternoon, when Brian left the room, and just laid in my bed, deciding not to get up right away.

I was thinking to myself, when the door creaked open, and in walked Brian, with two plates of food in his hands.

"What's this?" I asked, as he sat the plate in front of me. It looked and smelled delicious.

"Just a little lunch, gorgeous. You need some food in you, you haven't ate anything today. And the past couple of days, you've had hospital food, which doesn't compare anything to what I've made you."

"Oh yeah?" I smiled at him. He leaned in a pecked me on the cheek.

"Yeah, sweetness. This is pasta a la Brian. Or whatever you want to call it, I don't know Spanish well." I laughed at him.

"Well whatever it is, it looks and smells delicious." I smiled at him, again, and took my first bite. He just sat and watched me eat. "Would you like some of mine?" I said to him, after taking a couple of bites.

"No, I just wanted to know what you thought of it, and if it was any good before I took a bite." He laughed, and I playfully slapped him on the arm.

"You made it sound like you've made this before, you haven't?"

"Never." He smiled at me.

"Well it is really good. Here, try some." I took some pasta, and wiped it over his face. He licked his lips, getting some of the pasta.

"You're right, it is good, but you're going to pay for that." He said moving our lunches out of the way. I quickly tried to get off the bed, but it was too late, he already had me. He hovered over me, as he laid me back on the bed.

"What are you going to do to me?"

"Wouldn't you like to know." He smirked at me, before leaning down to kiss me. I kissed him back, but pulled away when I heard my phone ringing from my bedside table. Brian leaned up, and grabbed it for me.

"Home." He read the screen, handing the phone to me. I pressed the button, and answered the phone.

"Hello." I said.

"Hi, sweetie!" My mom yelled into the phone.

"Hey, mom!" Brian got off of me, and sat next to me, as I sat up. He started to eat his lunch.

"Your father and I were just wondering how everything is going."

"Oh, everything is wonderful, mom, you wouldn't even believe."

"That's wonderful, honey. We miss you, dearly." She sounded sad.

"How 'bout I come visit?"

"That would be great, baby. When would you like to visit?"

"How about tomorrow? We could head out today, and make it there by tomorrow."

"I don't want you speeding, darling." My dad said.

"I didn't know I was on speaker. Hi, daddy!"

"Hi, honey. We'd love to see you tomorrow. I take it by 'we' you are bringing Sam?"

"Yeah, if that's okay, and a couple other friends I've made, if it's alright with you?" I smiled at Brian.

"Of course, honey. You and your friends are always welcome here." My mom chimed in.

"Okay! Well I will plan on seeing you tomorrow then!"

"Alright, baby." My father said. "Just be careful."

"We love you honey." My mother said. "Can't wait to see you!"

"I love you both, too." I said, and hung up the phone. I smiled over at Brian, again, and hopped onto his lap, as he set his food down on the bedside table. "Roadtrip!"

Aww, I'm sorry to say that I won't be making a sequel to this story. This was my first story on here, and looking back at it now, I really don't like the way it turned out. But I appreciate your comment. :) it means a lot to know someone liked the story.
