Follow The Tides, Wherever You've Been
The First Month
"Shit!" Sam yells from his room in our apartment.
"What?" I say as I arrive at the door to his bedroom.
"I left my favorite stuffed animal at home." He says with a frown upon his face.
"Sam, we have been here a month, and you just now realized your missing your teddy bear?" I say teasingly.
"He is not a teddy bear, he is a rabbit, and his name is Fluffy." He replies sticking his nose up at me.
"You can't live without a stuffed rabbit?"
"No, my little sister gave him to me, and she told me I had to take him with me to my new home to remember her by."
"Oh. Well I'm sure Melissa will understand that an eighteen year old male simply forgot her request, and that you will still remember her regardless of whether said stuffed animal is here with you or not."
"You're a loser." He states jumping up to tickle me.
"No, Sam! This isn't fair, you know I'm not strong enough to escape you!" I struggle beneath his hands as he continues to tickle my stomach. Eventually I collapse on the floor, exhausted from trying to fight him off. He sits next to me on the floor, and just laughs.
"And you are a jerk." I say pretending to pout.
"Oh come on, Bradley, you know it's just too much fun to tickle you." I just lay on the floor trying to stare at him and keep a straight face, but the task proves to be impossible as I start to laugh and look away. "I'll make it up to you?" He questions, looking at me for an answer.
"How so?" I reply.
"Well there is that little club down the street, why don't we go have fun?"
"Sam, we are only eighteen how are we going to get into a club like that?"
"I know a guy." He smiles at me, stands, and helps me up.
