"Hey, Aden." I said as I walked up to him at the door. "Please excuse fuckhead here, he has no manners." I slapped Brian on the arm, and started to head out the door.
"You better be back here by curfew, young lady, or you're grounded!" Jimmy yelled before I closed the door.
"Wow, I can't believe it. You live there, with Avenged Sevenfold?" Aden questioned as we got in his car and pulled out of the drive.
"Yeah... They're pretty great." I didn't know what else to say. Aden didn't push the topic any further.
"So I figured we could grab some dinner at one of my favorite places." Aden said as he parked and we got out of the car.
"That sounds great." I smiled. We walked along until we came to a little Italian bistro, and Aden led us in. It smelled amazing, and I realized I was genuinely hungry. We were seated at a little table in a corner, a little candle glowing in the middle of us. I was impressed. No one had ever treated me to such a nice first date. We made small talk until our meals arrived, and we devoured what was sat in front of us.
"Dessert?" Aden asked.
"Oh... Umm, maybe later. I'm super full. Thanks, though." I smiled at him. He paid the bill soon after we were done eating, and we left. We walked along the street, and checked out some of the local shops in the area.
"So, tell me something about yourself." Aden said.
"Depends on what you want to know."
"I don't know, maybe a little of your history. I'm just trying to make sure you aren't some crazy psycho, or a convicted felon, here." He smiled at me, and I laughed.
"No, no crazy psycho or convicted felon, here. I have a damn clean record, I must say. I'm not much of a troublemaker. I was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota, and just recently moved to California. I had dreamed of living near the beach since I was young, so after my eighteenth birthday, my best friend, Samuel, and I moved out here, and rented a place."
"You're renting from Avenged Sevenfold?"
"No, we were renting an apartment of our own, before I had some freak incidents in the place. We had met Avenged at a bar one night, and we all just kind of clicked, and now we happen to be really good friends with the guys. After all that happened in the apartment we were living in, I wanted to get out, the guys offered to let us live with them. We help pay certain things, and they haven't complained yet out of the many months we've lived there so far."
"Oh. Sounds like you're living every girl's dream."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Do you know how many girls would kill to live with Avenged Sevenfold? They have girls all over them all the time."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." I smiled. "But, I'm not like every girl, and I'm definitely not all over them. I'm a very respectable house guest, I might add."
"You seem like a very respectable person. Very sweet." He smiled. "Well it's almost 11:00, should I get you home? I mean, you do have a curfew." I giggled.
"Ha. I have no curfew, but I am getting slightly worn out from all of this walking. I would say you could come back to my place, but it isn't my place, technically."
"Yeah, I understand. That's fine. We could go back to my apartment, if you want?"
"Hmm. I guess that sounds fine." I smiled. We walked back to his car, and he drove us to his apartment.
"So here it is." He said as he opened the door to his apartment. It was quite large, and quite a bit nicer than the one that Sam and I had shared. It had three bedrooms, and two and a half bathrooms. It also had a spectacular view of the beach from both of his balconies. "What do you think? You can be brutally honest, I don't mind." Sam said as he finished showing me around the place.
"It's amazing. Much better than the place Sam and I shared. I love it!" He smiled at me.
"Should we watch a movie, or something? I can pop some popcorn."
"That sounds great." I sat down on the couch, and Aden made the popcorn, as I found a movie to watch. I decided on Fast and the Furious 6, since I had seen all of the others, and loved them.
"You like movies with fast cars? Or is it just the cute guys they've casted to drive them?" Aden said as he took a seat next to me, bowl of popcorn in hand.
"Oh, hush. I love both." I winked at him.
As the movie played, Aden reached his arm around my shoulders. I didn't mind, though, so I leaned in to him, and rested my head on his shoulder.
The movie ended and I was struggling to keep my eyes open, it was almost two in the morning.
"I should probably get you home, now. It's probably way past your curfew." He winked at me.
"Yeah. Probably." We walked out to his car, and he drove me home.
We pulled up in front of the large house, and Aden stopped the car.
"I had a great time tonight. I'd love to see you again, if you'd let me."
"I'd love that, Aden. You seem like a really sweet guy."
He came around and opened my door, helping me out, and up to the front door of the house. We stood on the steps for a moment, before saying anything. I thought, at first, he was going to kiss me, but as much as I could see that he wanted to, he also didn't want to do it on the first date, and scare me off. I had to say, I respected how much of a gentleman he seemed to be.
"Well, I hope to see you again, soon, Bradley. Thanks for joining me tonight."
"I hope to see you, too. Thanks for letting me join you."
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Aden." He walked away to his car, and pulled out of the driveway. I watched him leave before I turned to go inside.
