Dont Pray For Me

RAE POV

Holy fucking shit! He just asked me to marry him, I thought as I began to twirl the ring on my finger. I looked up at Matt and he was still looking at the road, so I took some time to think about what he had said at the beach. And how he told me he loves me. I thought about how great we are together and how I have never felt this way about anyone before.

Before remembering he was driving I basically shoved my body half way on top of him, making him swerve before he gained control of the car again. "Yes, yes, yes!!" I squealed over and over again.

He laughed and took the ring off my right hand and switched it over to the left hand before he brought it to his lips and kissed it. I kissed him and sat back in my spot next to his side when Jimmys voice came crackling through our earpieces.

"What the hell is going on with that driving shadows?" he laughed.

"Shes trying to jump my bones because I asked her to marry me!" he said

"No fucking way!" the girls piped in.

"What did you say Rae?" Brian asked knowing I can hear him.

"How can any woman say no to that man?" I laughed before I told them I said yes.

They all came through the earpieces again, "congratulations!!" and I could feel my face turn red as I thanked all of them. The girls screamed with excitement in the other car.

We parked out in the darkness and pulled out some binoculars before looking towards the house. Johnny was telling us about how basic the gates security system and house alarms were. You think he would have put up better shit, yet again hes no where near famous or wealthy, hes just an asshole so he probably doesnt care that we are here.

Shit he might even want us to kill him, who knows. Gretchen came through the earpiece and told us that she found Jack in the top left window, I turned my gaze there and seen him. He was laying in a bed drinking something from a bottle as he watched tv.

Just when we were about to leave he turned and looked out the window with a smile, he lifted a phone up to his ear and mine began to ring. I took my earpiece out and answered his call. "Sup Jack" I said knowing he can see me.

"Wheres Phoenix? shes always at your side" he said and I just shook my head at how stupid he must be.

"Surely you wouldnt think I would bring her here with us did you?" I asked and he got this sly smirk on his face.

"I was hoping you wouldnt, tell your little tech nerd im glad he got into my system as fast as he did, glad to know Fee and her guy friend are home alone right now" he said before he hung the phone up.

I turned to Matt and made him get in the passenger seat and buckle up before I started the engine. A couple guys were running towards us with guns and instead of firing back at them I threw the car into gear and went straight for them, time cant be wasted right now. I flew past the escalade and they pulled out right behind us. I hopped on the free way as Matt got a hold of Zacky and told him to arm the house and go into the hidden bunk in the basement.

ZACKY POV

After our bath we dried ourselves off and walked back to our bedroom. I put on boxers and sweats as Nix pulled some spandex shorts before she got into bed and laid on her stomach. I grabbed the lotion she loves and put some on her back, rubbing gently. I looked over at her face to see her smile before I moved onto her shoulders and arms. Once I was done I moved to her thighs rubbing deeper into the muscle.

I did the same with her legs and her feet before I rubbed the rest onto my own arms. She wears this shit so much that I sometimes use it just to be able to smell her when shes not near me.
Once she put a tank top on we went down to the kitchen to make her a smoothie.

She did her usual dancing and singing to the music in her earphones as I poured her strawberry banana smoothie in a cup. She turned around and pranced around the room while I made myself a mixed berry smoothie, but just then I got a phone call from Matt. As soon as I picked up I could hear the panic in his voice and the roar of the engine in the background.

As soon as I hung up the phone I enabled the alarm and grabbed Nix in my arms running her into the basement as I turned off all the lights that I left on besides the one in our bathroom and bedroom. I grabbed multiple guns and handed them to Nix as I shoved her inside the bunker. I told her to only shoot if she needs to, other than that she is not to make a sound.

I grabbed 2 pistols and a knife before I slowly crept up the basement stairs. I kept to the shadows, but then felt something come up slowly behind me shoving something in my hands. I was so pissed when I seen that Nix completely disregarded my orders, that I didnt realize she handed me night vision goggles. We both put some on and crept around the house.

I seen multiple people around the room in front of us, we got on our knees under the table next to the couch and took aim at the men, before unloading 2 clips each. The figures in our goggles quickly went down and a hail of bullets were flying through the air. I looked around and shot at all the targets that began filing into the room.

We reloaded quickly and moved to the only dark spot that hadnt been riddled by bullets before unloading again. Soon it got quiet and I heard the alarms being disabled so I shoved Nix behind me and aimed my gun prepared for more people to rush us. The figures came in and the lights quickly flipped on. I sighed and let the gun fall to the ground before standing Nix and myself up.

I watched as the group ran straight passed me to Nix. Rae started to yell for a first aid kit and her surgical box and my heart dropped, I was so worried about protecting her that I forgot to fucking check and see if shes ok. I turned to face her and I seen the blood all over her, but before I could get to her I dropped to the floor as the darkness began to close in around me.
