Dont Pray For Me

NIX POV

I walked into Matts room and found Raevyn in the fetal position crying on the bed. I took out a painkiller and popped it in my mouth before swallowing it. Rae gave me this demonic glare as she sat up.

"Chill the fuck out, its just one, I wont take anymore, I just did too much this past week" I told her as I got under the covers and pulled her into my arms.

She wasnt crying anymore, she handed me dads wedding band and I slipped it onto my ring finger. Growing up I always wanted dads ring, and Rae wanted moms. I took her hand and laced our fingers, she was wearing moms ring already.

"I miss them so much" I said in a hushed tone

"I do too Nix" she said as she squeezed my hand for a second "I miss them like crazy every single day."

We sat in silence for quite some time before we decided to go get some ice cream, baby cravings.

We changed out of the clothes we were wearing earlier and went to the basement, the guys had their equipment set up and were playing songs but were too drunk to stay on the right track, so we told them to move and began the song over again since we already knew how to play Gunslinger. I took Brians guitar and Rae sat at the drums. I bet the guys were in for a HUGGEE surprise.

I looked back at Rae who was already ready when I nodded to Zacky to start again. So he did, and I began to sing the song with perfection as everyone just stared in shock. But once that heavy part started and my voice grew louder everyone head basically fucking exploded, Zacky sang backup vocals along with Rae.

Soon I looked over at Zacky

"Theres no way she will ace this solo" Brian said as I began to throw his words back into his face with a smirk.

"Shes the new aged Clapton" Gretchen said before finishing the solo, and eventually the song.
They all stood up and cheered but Zack shoved the guitars into Matts hands as he grabbed me and pulled me into a kiss.

"Get a room" Johnny laughed as he mocked us, kissing Lyric.

I pulled back from Zack and shot him a confused look, "I just fell more in love with you" he said to me, causing me to smile and blush. This man knows exactly what to say to me.

"Play another!" Jimmy demanded.

"Fine but this one is my choice" I said getting the guitar back from Matt.

"The Black" I whispered to Rae as I got ready to play, she nodded and I enlisted Brian and Johnny for bass and guitar, but they got shoved out of the way by the new girls, I just smiled at them as they both stuck their tongues out at the guys. I started to growl the lyrics out of my throat, Rae has never been able to scream lyrics the way I can. I watched with content as everyone went wide eyed, I guess they have never heard someone sing like this before.

"Jesus fucking Christ!" Jimmy said as I continued with the song. I cocked my head to the side THIS TIME I FIGHT FOR MYSELF AS YOU TRY TO FUCK ME OVER! I BET YOU NEVER CARED, I KNEW YOU NEVER CARED! YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM FUCKING DROWNING.

We finished the song and Jimmy whistled at us as we all bowed.

"How the hell can all those screams come out of that tiny body?!" Matt asked.

"Dunno, it just does" I said taking a seat on Zacks lap.

Rae handed me a cigarette, and the guys got really pissed off. "Hey chill out shes going to quit, just not cold turkey, she could get sick from that" the girls said in my defense.

"Anyways, when were you going to tell us you can play the drums?" Brian asked Rae. "Yea, I didnt know you could play the guitar" Zacky said as he took a drag off my cigarette.

"I play more than the guitar babe. I can sing, play the guitar, bass, drums, piano, violin, harp, clarinet and cello" I said with a beautiful smile, "im also ambidextrous, which is why I can play a left handed guitar as well as a right handed guitar" I chimed in, feeling more and more confident as ever.

They all looked over at Rae, "What about you?" they asked. "Ive never tried anything else, shes the musical one" Rae said, probably hoping they wouldnt ask what else she can do, but much to her dismay they did.

She rolled her eyes at us, "nothing spectacular" and I gaped at her "Bull fucking shit! you better show them or i'll bet your ass!" I said and she took off her jacket and went to change into some yoga pants and a tank top.

When she came back down she made everyone move out of the way before she started to bend her body into weird positions.

"You can do yoga?" Johnny asked deserving a slap in the head from Lyric while Gretchen laughed at them.

"Well I do yoga as well but im a contortionist" she said as she began to bed her limbs in ways they arent normally made to bend. She sunk into splits and pulled her back leg up completely over her head and hooked her foot under her jaw.

"Thats fucking amazing!" they all said with amazement in their voices.

Matt chimed in "and useful" before giving her a wink that was accompanied with a dimpled smile.

By this time I was reeeaaaaallllly wanting ice cream so I basically forced everyone to go with us to get some. We all got cups of ice cream and walked away from the counter.

We found a booth and grabbed our spoons, I wanted to try every flavor so I did and no one objected, they all actually started taking bites from random bowls around the table. A waitress came over and asked if we wanted to buy some pictures, its a thing they do around here: take pictures and sell them to the customers. I pulled out some money and she began snapping pictures from the old Polaroid camera.

She handed them to us and we looked them over laughing at some of the funny ones we had taken. "Im going to frame these on the wall" I said once I got them all back.
