Jayden's POV
' Being a bartender sucks ' I sighed to myself as I closed Rusty's Tavern for the third time this week.
As i walked to my car I pulled out my car keys and unlocked the door to my 2008 Dodge Charger. This thing was my baby. It took me over 3 years just to save up for half of it. As I started it up I put in my favorite Papa Roach CD and blasted it though the speakers. I slowly backed up out of my parking space and made the short 10 minute drive to my tiny apartment in the slums.
My apartment was a small studio apartment. i didn't really need that much space since it was just me, plus I was never home much anyways. Even though this apartment is small its not cheap. Add rent on top of my bills and food expenses and I barely have any money left for fun. It was hard, I worked three jobs just to be able to keep up with everything.
Monday through Saturday I worked at the local supermarket from 5am to 10am, after that I barely had time to change out of my uniform before I could get to my next job at the convenience store for 10:30am to 6pm, then from there I went back to my apartment to shower and get ready to work at the bar from 8 to 2am. Finally after all that I can barely stand up long enough to drag myself up the stairs to my apartment to sleep for a short 2 and a half hours before I have to get up and do it all again. Sunday is the only day of the week I have off and the only things I really get to do is clean up and do my shopping for the week. Other than that I pretty much catch up on the sleep I miss during my crazy week.
I wish I didn't have to work so much. My two friends Colby and Emmi have basically given up on me because I'm never around to spend time with them, they tried to be patient after my parents died and I dropped out of school to pay off their enormous amount that they left behind. I never had time for anything. Work was my life and unless I married some rich celebrity like Jacoby Shaddix this was the way my life was going to be, and I didn't see any change happening any time soon.
