Where Do We Go From Here ?

Watching Brian just speed off like that left me speechless somebody is threating his family and I know how that feels but I'm not going into detail about that right now but one thing was still on my mind... Can we get this gender reveal back on track ? I thought to myself. I watched as Michelle and Dan mumbling something to each other but I couldn't make out what it was but it sounded like those two were behind this whole thing and what made things even weirder is that Michelle is texting someone who is not her mother over in the corner.

The gender was about to be revealed everyone gathered around the questionable piñata and waited with anticipation for Val to bust open whatever color confetti was about to come out known not to everyone I knew what color was going to come out of it but nobody else didn't I watched along with everyone Val had begun to become restless I could see it in her eyes but finally blue confetti came bursting out.

Val handed Michelle and her mother the sonogram pictures and their faces were priceless to see they were just as shocked as me.

"Um Val this boy has four arms and four legs." Michelle scratched her head.

"Yes I know that Chelle." Val chuckled.

"It's clear that your sister is having twins sweetheart." Debbie chimed in.

"I know it's just shocking mother." Val said.

"Your father will be so happy to see you right now if he was still here." Debbie started to tear up.

Val and Michelle walked into what seemed like Dan and Hollie making out on the couch.... Shit he's fucked. I thought to myself.

"Dan what do you think you're doing ?!?!" Michelle screamed. Both Dan and Hollie looked up in shock not letting go of each other's lips Michelle had stormed off to the bathroom to go get rid of the shocking scene in front of her. Michelle's solution to everything is most likely drinking her pain away but she was sober for almost two years now she hasn't thought about drinking since she gave birth to Claire and sharing joint custody with Brian was hard enough she had a lot on her plate.

I rushed outside to see Brian's truck pulling up in my driveway he had this look of anger on his face I knew he needed my help with tracking down Emma's kidnapper and stopping him but it wasn't going to be that simple not for of course.

"Matt dude I need your help." Brian said he seemed out of breath.

"Have you been jogging ?" I asked.

"Ha-ha really funny jackass this is a serious matter." Brian replied.

"Okay what do you need my help with ?" I asked.

"Can you help me come up with the $15,000 ?" Brian asked rubbing his hands together.

"Are you fucking insane ?" I asked.

"At the moment yes I am." Brian replied.

"Okay I'll help you I'll text you the meeting place and will draw the money from my savings." I said.

With that, I walked back into the party everyone had dispersed into an episode of Law & Order but the odd thing was there was no victim and there was no suspect so this was all a bit much to handle right now but were all a little bit dysfunctional at times what had still bothered me was my conversation with Brian ten minutes ago... Why am I going through with this ? I thought to myself.

I looked over at the clock it was nearing midnight and I was so tired that I didn't even want to drag myself to bed tomorrow things were about to take a turn for the abnormal I waited for Val to say her goodbyes to Michelle and Dan she shook her head and turned to me with a disappointing look.

"What's wrong ?" I asked.

"Michelle's upset and I don't know what to do." Val cried.

"Why is she upset though ?" I asked.

"She saw Dan and Hollie kissing on the couch. Val sobbed.

"Oh ?" I tried to sound amazed when in all reality I wasn't.


I just want to go to bed and get this crazy day started tomorrow morning I dragged my lifeless body upstairs and cuddled next to Val as my thoughts begin to blur there was nothing else to think about or even consider everything was perfect beyond words and I couldn't have it any other way my life was soon going to change right before my eyes and no I wasn't prepared Val turned over to me and kissed me before drifting off into a deep sleep.

... Tomorrow is going to be a pain. I thought to myself.


--- THE NEXT MORNING---
8:30 AM.
The sun had slowly began to rise as I stretched my arms I looked over to my side and saw that Val nor River were anywhere to be found that is very strange but I soon heard keys unlocking my front door but it wasn't Val or River it was Sasha and I had no idea as to why she was here or what she wanted but I knew it was too early in the morning for her sexcapades but I couldn't resist an attractive woman but that was the farthest thing from my mind right now.

"Hey Matt can I pick your brain for a few minute ?" Sasha asked.

"Sure what is it ?" I asked.

"Well I'm having this release party for my book tomorrow night and I'd love it if you would come as a special guest." Sasha smiled.

"Okay I'll be there." I said.

"Great see you there handsome." Sasha made her way out I smiled and closed the door behind me I sat down on the couch scrolling through my phone I saw two text messages one from Tal and another one from Brian... Shit I need to text him where to meet me. I thought to myself. I opened the inbox to my messages.

Abbi and I can't wait to hear the news about Val come by and see us.

I pinched my nose in frustration I rushed upstairs and grabbed my motorhead top and sunglasses and headed straight for the door but I forgot my keys and went back inside and grabbed them off of the coffee giving Bella a small smile before finally closing the door behind me and heading to my car and then my phone rang with an unknown number flashing on my screen.

"Who is this ?" I answered.

"I have someone that wants to speak to you." the kidnapper said.

"Daddy ? I'm scared." River answered.

"YOU HAVE MY SON YOU BASTARD ?!?! I yelled into the phone.

"Why yes I do and the ransom has been raised a little." the kidnapper said.

"To what ?" I asked.

"$250,000." The kidnapper replied.

"Don't you dare touch my family." I hung up the phone and rushed to Brian's and ran up to his front waiting for him to answer.

"Dude where the hell were you ?" Brian groaned.

"Good morning to you too sunshine." I whispered.

"The kidnapper called me he has River and Val now." I said staying focused on the road.

"Oh shit." Brain said.

"And he raised the ransom money tooo." I added.

"To how much ?" Brian asked.

"$250,000."

"We need to get there now!" Brian yelled.

"I'm getting there as fast as I can!" I yelled back.

..... This really has got me pissed off. I thought to myself.
