Brian's POV
Our honeymoon was as incredible as our wedding night. After months of Wedding planning, being alone together and away from the world was exactly what we needed. I love music, I love the guys and I love being in the band, but I needed just Penny time.

We spent the next 3 weeks after our honeymoon in Ohio, I worked on material for the new album and was able to collaborate with the guys via the web. Penny was painting and catching up with her family and friends. We double dated with Bianca and Wane. Jay came over and let me bounce creative ideas off him. Jay's girlfriend Stephanie and Penny got along great, Stephanie even used some of Penny's artwork when decorating a few homes.
Penny's artwork was beginning to be well known, but not landscapes or abstracts. She was being commissioned by people to paint portraits. Anyone could have a photograph put on canvas, but to have an actual painting that was unique. Penny really had an ability to capture the spirit of the person in the painting. She was making money doing what she loved and could work around my schedule. It was perfect.

In March we had to head back to California, it was time to start laying down tracks for the new cd. I loved that other than family obligations, Penny was now free to travel or be at home with me anywhere.

Penny's art studio at either house was off limits, not even I was allowed in unless invited. I respected that, and it was her own creative space. One day in California, Pinkly was nowhere to be found. Penny said to check her art room. I walked in and looked around for Pinkly. I accidentally knocked one of Penny's sketchbooks off a table. It fell open, the sketches caught my eye. They weren't Penny's usual work. The tone was dark and sad. I couldn't help leafing through it, I could feel the pain and as I continued through the book the images were darker and darker. There was a woman and a man, but their faces seemed to change periodically. After looking at this book, I knew that Penny had went through more than just being "hit". I heard Penny coming and I closed the book before reaching the end. I put it back and looked down just then Pinkly came running up. I picked her up just as Penny came to the door. "Good, you found her!" She said. I walked out of the room, I looked at the sketchbook on the table and didn't know if I wanted to see the rest of it or not. I remembered Tess telling me to not pressure her about it.
I still didn't know exactly what happened, but now I understood better why she wouldn't talk about it. The book may be a good thing for her, whatever happened she was starting to face it.
I put my arm around her as we walked together. After I put Pinkly down. I wrapped my arms around Penny and kissed her forehead, then pressed my lips to hers.
"What was that all about?" She asked.
"Can't a guy kiss his wife for no reason? I just wanted to give you a reminder that you are truly loved and safe here. I want to make sure whether we are together or not, that you know you I always love you."
"I always love you too. This just seems a little out of the blue. But I like it." She said.
"Good, expect more of it." I kissed her again.

The targeted cd release date was early June with a 4 month US Tour starting in mid-July, then a break until May 2019. Penny was with us the for most of the tour, we weren't able to go to Michigan in July for the third Anniversary of when we met, but we were together. There was a one week break in October and then back on until the week of Thanksgiving.
Penny's Mom was moving into Senior Housing and Penny had to be in Ohio to help Tess and Allen with getting her moved in. We went home to California during the week off and then we would go separate ways for at least 2 weeks.

Penny's POV
We were back in California. Brian was able to stay for a week. I was going to Ohio for a couple weeks to help my Mom. I was going to meet him in a couple of cities, but he was going to be gone until the week of Thanksgiving.
Chloe called me one day. "Hey Momma, how are you two?"
"We are doing good."
"How are you guys?"
"We're good. When are you coming back to Ohio?" Chloe asked.
"I will be flying out next Tuesday, when Brian leaves for tour." I said.
"When will Brian be here?"
"Not until right before Thanksgiving. Why?"
"Max and I need to talk to the two of you, I really wanted it to be in person."
"What's going on Chloe? Is everything alright?"
"Yes, everything is fine. Would it be terrible if we came out there?" Chloe asked.
"Are you kidding? We would love that! We'll take care of your plane tickets."
"Ok, I'll check into Max and I getting a couple of days off work and let you know."
"Okay, let me know as soon as you can so I can get your flight taken care of."

Brian's POV
Chloe and Max were flying in for four days and Penny was actually going to be flying back with them to Ohio. I was glad they were coming to visit and Penny was a nervous wreck. She wanted everything to be perfect and we both were wondering what the reason was for the sudden visit.

They arrived and Penny went running out to greet them. I helped Max carry in their luggage. They went to their guest room to rest. Penny wanted to make dinner, she loved the kitchen and loved to cook. She wanted the meal to be perfect and special. I tried to reassure her.
"It all looks great." I came up to her from behind and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Especially my Domestic Goddess." I started nibbling at her neck. "I could just eat you up."
"UH-HUMMMM" Came from the entry to the kitchen.
I whispered to Penny "I think we're busted."
"Do you think you crazy kids can control yourselves long enough for dinner?" Chloe said
Penny and I were both blushing.

Penny's POV
Max and Brian were forced to set the table and Chloe and I brought the food out. We had a great time, it was very much a "Family" dinner.
"Is everyone ready for dessert?" I asked while taking up everyone's plates.
"Can we hold off on that for a few minutes, Max and I have something we want to tell you both." Chloe asked.
"Okay, let me run these to the kitchen." I didn't know what to think, this sounded pretty serious. I came back and sat down.
Max had gotten up and was now standing behind Chloe's chair. "We came here because we have some very big news and we wanted to share it with both of you together and in person."
I looked at Brian and he looked at me, then we both looked at Chloe and Max. "What is it?" Brian asked.
"We're going to have a BABY!" They said in unison.
Brian jumped up and hugged them both. I sat shell shocked for a moment, then got up and hugged and congratulated the kids too. "When are you due?"
"Mid-July" She was beaming.
"I'm so happy for you, baby girl. Oh My God! My baby is going to have a baby!"
"Don't cry Momma!"
Brian said "I think those are happy tears!"

Brian's POV
Chloe and Max having a baby was big news. I knew Penny was happy for them, but I could tell something was bothering her too. That night when we went to bed, she was really distracted.
"Penz, do you want to jump in the shower or the tub with me. It might be relaxing; you look a little tense." I waited for her to respond. "Penz? Penny? PENELOPE!" She finally spoke.
"Yea sure, that sounds great."
I was pretty sure she still wasn't really listening. "Or better yet, let's run around the house naked banging on pots and pans and see if Max and Chloe come out of their room." No answer. "Penny!"
"Huh?"
"Do you want to do that instead?"
"Sure Bri, whatever you want to do." I wanted to bust out laughing and tell her what she just agreed to, but I didn't think it was the right time.
I sat down beside her on the edge of the bed. Suddenly she hugged me really tight. "What's wrong? Penz, why are you upset?"
"I don't know. They haven't even been married that long."
"I understand why you are concerned but both have graduated college, they both have good jobs, good heads on their shoulders and they own a house. They know if they are ready or not and they seem pretty happy about it."
"You're right, but I'm a Mom and it's our job to worry."
She seemed better, but I could tell there was something else and I was pretty sure I knew what it was.
"Are you going to tell me what else is wrong?"
"Nothing else is wrong." She said.
"Penny, I know that's not true. I think you're worried because you'll be a grandmother and you think that makes our age difference worse. Am I right?"
She nodded her head. "Yeah, basically."
"See how well I know you? I love you and that doesn't change if you're a grandmother. I'll basically be the baby's grandfather; I think that's great. We are going to spoil this kid rotten!" She laughed a little. "And you will be the sexiest Granny ever!" Then she smacked me in the arm.
"You're crazy Haner."
"You married me, Haner" I reminded her.

Penny's POV
Brian and I had to say goodbye, again. That was one of the hardest parts of our life together. You think you will get used to it or at least it would get easier, but it doesn't. We took a moonlight walk on the beach the night before, one of our favorite things to do.

"You're going to join me before Halloween, right?" he asked.
"I've got to take care of some things at our house and help my family and then I'll meet up with you."
"Having a baby in the family is going to be a big change."
"Yep. It's been a long time since I've changed a diaper."
"Why didn't you have any more kids after Chloe?" he asked. This is one subject we had never talked about and I tried not to talk about.
"Because I couldn't. I was pregnant one other time, but I lost her at six months. They told me after that I would never be able to have any more kids."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad."
"I usually don't talk about it at all. Someday, when and if I am ever ready I will tell you the whole story. It was the darkest time of my life and even my family never speak of it. You are the only person I have told about the baby in over 20 years."
"When you are ready to tell me, I will listen and be there. But if you are never able to, it's okay I won't pressure you."
"There is something I do need to tell you, I lied to you the night we met."
"About what?"
"The third music note on my "So Far Away" tattoo wasn't for my grandmother, it was for my little girl." I started to cry.
"It's okay, I understand. I am glad that you can tell me about her now."
"You are the most incredible man in the world and I am the luckiest woman in the world."
"We kissed and I ran my hands down his back and grabbed his butt with both hands."
"Is Grandma feeling frisky?"
"Too Soon, Junior. Now you will pay!!"
"You'll have to catch me first!" He started running. Of course, he let me catch him.
We walked home holding hands and snuck upstairs like a couple kids trying not to wake up the parents when they are sneaking to have sex.

Brian's POV
It was finally the week of Thanksgiving and I went home to Ohio to spend it with Penny's family. When I got home, Penny was in the kitchen making a welcome home meal. The table was set and ready and she was still in the kitchen.
I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist." I love coming home to my sexy domestic goddess." I started kissing the back of her neck.
"And I love when my devastatingly handsome guitar god comes home."
I started kissing her neck again and exploring her body with my hands.

"I want you too, but dinner is almost ready. We have to hold off until after that."
"I am not a fan of that." I spun her around and crushed my lips against hers. She kissed me back with the same desire." She broke our embrace. "Bri, what about dinner?"
"I'm only hungry for you." I picked her up and carried her to the dining room and with one hand pushed everything off the side of the table. I put her down on the table, undressed quickly and climbed on top of her slowly working my way up her body. She had a little dress on and I pushed it up.
