There Is No Me Without You

**Brian's POV**


I was standing in Matt's garage with my guitar strapped around my body listening to Matt and Jimmy arguing over the our bassist leaving the band, me I was too busy thinking of the argument Zacky and I had the other day and wondering why he wasn't here yet. I couldn't believe he was so understanding if it was me in his shoes I'd be livid I woud've started an all out war with him, but he just proved how much more of a man he is than me after all he had the girl I had no one apart from my bands mates. "Syn what do you think we should do?" I heard Jimmy ask in the distance I shrugged I really didn't know what to do "We could hold auditions at school?" Matt answered I chuckled a little "Everyone in school hates us Matt, what makes you think they would want to join us?" Just as I said that Zacky walked in with Gemma holding onto his arm, I smiled at them letting them know it didn't bother me when really it was tearing me up inside. "Hey guys sorry we're late Gemma had a really big itch I had to scratch!" Zacky laughed along with everyone else Gemma looked mortified but laughed any way I just nodded. I pulled my guitar off my shoulder and went to walk outside when Zacky stopped me by the arm "We ok dude?" I looked down at my arm then back to Zacky and nodded "Yeah we're cool bro, no worries. Going out for a smoke I'll catch up with you soon" Zacky nodded and smiled letting my arm go and I walked outside sitting on Matt's loungers he had in the front garden, I pulled a smoke out and lit it up taking the biggest drag I could holding it for a second before exhaling and instantly all my stress disappeared. "Hey Brian, not practicing today?" I looked over to the drive way and seen Johnny the kid from down the street that watched up practice every time, he was like our biggest fan. I smiled an motioned for him to come over and sit which he did. "Yeah we're practicing Johnny just having a little minor problem with finding a new bassist, you know any one that would be interested?" I looked over at johnny and I could see him physically squirming with excitement "Me! I'm interested in it! I have been practicing everyday with my brother and he says I'm getting better. I come watch you guys all the time and I think you are all amazing! Please Brian give me a shot at this!" I laughed at him, he looked so excited it was hard to say no "Go home Johnny, and get your bass and come back. Try out and we will see what you got!" before I even finished he was sprinting home I shook my head "he's a cool kid." I flicked my cigarette to the floor and stood on it to make sure it was out before walking in to a heated discussion between Matt and Zacky about finding a new bassist "Look if we don't find a bassist we will have to hold auditions or disband is that what you want Zacky?" Matt yelled at him Jimmy jumped up from behind his drumkit and put his on Matt's chest "Look we all know Matt Wentz made a dick move when he left but you two fighting won't help!" Jimmy yelled at both of them. I think now was a better time than ever to tell them I found a great little candidate for the job "Guys, I think I found our new bassist. You know the little dude that stands outside listening to us every practice, well he an play bass so I told him he could try out with us." They all looked at me and laughed which confused me I thought this was a good thing "That little guy from down the street he's like 12 Syn!" I shrugged "And? What does that matter?" I asked as Matt walked over and clapped my shoulder "If we make it big in the next year or so means he can't come due to still being a freshman in high school!" Well fuck I didn't think of that I was mentally kicking myself "Well he would be able to go if his grades were at a substantial level, meaning that he can leave at the end of his junior/senior year or he can drop out." Gemma piped up I looked over to her and smiled least someone was on my side "If you guys make it big and you allow me to be in the band I would drop out" Johnny's voice chimed in as he walked into the garage, Matt smiled "Ok then Johnny, lets see what you got. You know our song Waken the Fallen? Let's start with that and see how you are, if you're any good then you're in" Matt smiled and walked over to his mic stand, I smiled at Johnny and nodded "Don't be scared just do what you do" I said as I walked past him to retrieve my guitar and pulling the strap over my head. Jimmy counted us in and we started the song, I watched Johnny give everything he has and he was really good he kept up with the music he looked like a natural, I smiled and looked over at Gemma, she was swaying and banging her head to the music and smiling it made me happy that she enjoyed the music I saw her look over at Zacky then to me, she winked at me and right there I thought I could melt. I shook my head I was turning into such a girl these days having all these feelings. I just have to get over her and move on. The song ended and Gemma clapped "Johnny you were really good dude! You think you could do that to all of the songs if we gave you the sheet music to look over?" Matt asked him Johnny smiled big and nodded "Hell Yeah I can!" He all but screamed I chuckled as he looked over at me "Well done bro" I congratulated him. Matt handed him all the sheet music for him to study, and again he all but sprinted home with them. "Well looks like we have our new bassist" Jimmy laughed and started playing a beat to himself "What did you think Gemma? Start quality right?" Matt asked as he sat next to her on the worn out couch he had, she nodded "Very good guys, I thought that because you were a garage band you wouldn't be that good but you guys really have potential! It was really good and I can't wait to hear more!" She genuinely looked happy and excited, "well we have plenty more where that came from" I smiled and sat my guitar down next to the amp and walked over to sit down next to Matt, "I've been working on new material, so next week we will go over it. We just need to wait and see if Johnny can play the other songs, anyway I have to run promised Val we would have a movie night after practice. The joys of disney all night!" Matt chuckled and stood up to go get his bag "Yeah well least you have that, I have to deal with watching disney on my own!" I laughed as I picked at the hole in my jeans, "don't worry dude, if you want a snuggle call me and I'll be happy to spoon with you, as long as buy me dinner first." Jimmy's infectious laugh erupted from behind the drumkit, "well Jimmy it's a date! How about Tuesday?" I joked, Jimmy stood up and walked over to me "Anything for you stud!" he winked, Zacky laughed "Its cool he can just jump across to Gemma's and watch Disney with her saves me from watching that shit!" Zacky said in a joking matter but both him and I knew it wasn't a joke, "Yeah sounds like a plan, anyway I'm going to boost too. Got a very important date with my very special friends Jack and Daniel. Catch yous." I smiled as I stood to hug Jimmy and Zacky Gemma stood too and hugged me I could see Zacky eyeing me up so I turned us round and whispered "we need to talk, meet me at yours tonight" and let her go. I turned and waved and walked out pulling my phone out and searching for the number I knew would help me out I pressed call and pressed it to my ear "Hey Bianca, it's Bri. I'll be at yours in 10, feel free to warm yourself up." I hung up without waiting for an answer. Tonight I will forget her and hit rock bottom the only way I know how. I smiled "Welcome to my little fucked up world!" I shouted pulling out a cigarette. Tonight I will forget all my problems, forget the world for a while.
