Chapter 3

**Aris’s POV**

The black world was starting to fade away, so I knew I was waking up and I could just feel a headache forming.

“I’m so glad Shadz took Abi out to eat. We’d never get to interrogate her if he didn’t,” I heard an unknown voice say.

“Well I feel the same way as Abi, so I’m going out while you guys do it,” I think Syn said.

“All the more torture I can do then,” another voice laughed.

I started groaning my headache was starting to get very bad. I sat up and looked around me. Three stone walls and prison bars made up the forth. I sighed; I should have known this was going to be a mission I couldn’t succeed. Hell it was a fucking death trap and I want to know why Damon was trying to get rid of me.

“Wakey wakey Sleeping Beauty,” the guy that knocked me out smirked at the prison bars. I glared at him as his bright green eyes showed amusement.

“You are Abi’s sister for sure, the same fire, the same resistance,” he said.

“Step sister dickwad,” I hissed.

“And your nickname is Angel, tisk tisk such language.”

“My nickname was,” I muttered.

“Alright baby doll, let’s go,” he said opening the door.

I sighed and got up walking to him, I’ll cooperate for now. He hand cuffed me and lead me down the hall.

“I’m serious Vee, she stays alive,” Syn said looking at me. I turned my vision to the floor not wanting to look at him.

“I know, I feel like she’s going to cooperate with us,” I smirked. Ohh I’m only cooperating for now.

He led me in a room that was dark. I was shoved in a chair and handcuffed too it. I sat in silence, I knew Vee or whoever he is was here, I feel like there are more people too.

“Who are you with?” the unknown voice from earlier said.

“The Black Snakes,” I replied.

“Are you really, because we don’t know that group.”

“Yes, we’re an undercover group, we’ve been in and out of your ranks more times than you can count.”

There was a pause, which made me think they had no idea we existed and I personally fucked that up.

“Where are they located?” a different voice asked.

“I don’t know,” and with that I was hit hard across the face.

“Answer the question,” Vee said, I’m just going to guess he’s Vengeance; it makes sense when I actually think about it.

“I did ass clown,” I hissed I was smacked hard across the face again. I felt blood pool into my mouth and I spat it at the ground.

“Vee don’t aim for her face anymore, Syn and Abi will kill you,” a second unknown voice said.

“Fine, you get one more chance where is the location?” he hissed in my ear.

“And I told you I don’t know.” I’m guessing his fist slammed in my gut making me choke for a breath.

“Ohh I’m so happy you’re human makes this so much easier for me.”

“Bite me,” I growled trying to catch my breath.

“That’s Syn’s job, all he wants is to take a bite out of you,” The door opened then closed again. Someone grabbed my face, but it was so dark I couldn’t see who.

“Damnit Vengeance, I told you don’t hit her face, now Abi will be upset,” Shadows said, I recognize his voice.

“Bitch wouldn’t talk, where is Abi she’s not here killing me?”

“With her mom and step dad,” that caught my attention.

“My dad’s still alive?” I asked, hopefully looking at them.

“Yes, one of Abi’s many requests before she would become my mate,” Matt said.

“The information I was given said you guys destroyed my town.”

“That’s false; humans were either turned or became workers for vampires. You’re part of a group fighting for the way things used to be. Now how did you come to be with them?” Matt asked.

“After Abi gave herself up, so I could get away. I had nowhere to go, the radio said towns were being destroyed everywhere. I drove up into the mountains where I used to live a long time ago and started surviving. A month later this group found me and took me in. They trained me to fight and showed me how to hack into computer systems and everything. That’s why I thought my dad, step mom and Abi were dead. There’s a classification system dead, undead, and missing. My dad and step mom were dead and Abi was missing,” I explained.

“Hmm very interesting. Now why don’t you know where this group is?”

“I want to see my family, and then you will get everything you want to know,” I said raising an eyebrow.

“I’ll consider it and you tell me what I want to know.”

“Take me back to my cell and give me something for my headache that has gotten worse and deal,” I said.

The door opened and I was unhooked from the chair and was starting to be pushed back the way I came. I was so happy when I laid down on the cot and covered up with the thick blanket.

“Start talking, Christ is getting your headache medicine.”

“Ok, the reason I don’t know where they are is because the locations always change, we’re never in a spot for more than a week. When I got assigned this mission they chose a location where I didn’t know, incase this happened. I was supposed to meet them after this mission, so they could take me to the new location.”

“Wait, when was this?” Matt asked.

“2 days later at noon, if I’m not there by 1pm I’m pronounced dead,” I explained.

“We could use your help, we’ll protect you,” he said.

“For what?”

“Turn on them and help us destroy them, you’re a part of our family now, in case you didn’t know. As long as you agree, then welcome to the family.”

“I’ll think about it,” I muttered.

“Fair enough,” he said sitting a bottle of water and bottle of medicine inside the door. “Rest you’ll need it.” He said walking away.

**Syn’s POV**

I was waiting in the living room, Zack, Jimmy and Johnny already came up saying Aris was in Matt’s hands. Apparently she opened up to him after he mentioned her dad was alive. Of all the people that could have been my mate she’s trying to kill me, well this is just great. Then again Abi wasn’t very welcoming to Matt in the beginning. I heard the basement door close as Matt’s huge frame filled most of the door way.

“I told her she was family as long as she gave everything up; she said she’d think about it. She’s going to help us get her group in 2 days, they moved to an unknown location in case she got caught and that’s where she’s supposed to meet them.” He said as we all nodded.

“How is she?” I asked.

“A little bruised thanks to Zack for that, I never laid a hand on her,” Matt said walking away.

I growled turning my vision to Zack; his eyes widened seeing how angry I was. I used my telepathy and lifted him in the air. My powers are being psychic, so I can move things and so much more.

“Brian put me down, it couldn’t be helped she wouldn’t answer,” Zack said.

“I warned you; you beat her and got no answers, while Matt struck a deal with her and got everything.”

“Brian seriously calm down,” I saw Zack trying to move his hands to use his power of moving Earth to knock off my concentration.

“I’m much stronger than you Zack, now either tell me you’ll never touch her again or this is just going to stay the same. If you weren’t my brother you’d be dead for laying a hand on my mate,” I growled.

“Air head’s your mate?” I heard Abi behind me. I turned to her let Zack drop to the ground that’s the least of what he deserves.

“Yes, she is,” I said as Abi start squealing in happiness.

“I’m going to go down and see,” Abi said.

“If you do take the medical kit down, apparently Zack hit her a few times,” I said turning slightly to see the black haired vampire pushing himself off the ground.

“He did WHAT!” she yelled her hands being engulfed in flames.

“Abi can you please go check Aris she hurt. I’ll take care of him.”
