I woke up the next morning with a crick in my neck and the sun blaring in my eyes. But despite that I felt great, I actually haven't felt this great in years. I was brought out of my thoughts as I heard my stomach grumble, I turned my car on rolled down my window and lit a cigarette. I inhaled deeply as I decided what I should eat. I wasn't really in the mood for anything in particular so this was going to be harder than I thought. Just then I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out to see a number I wasn't familiar with I slid across the screen and put the phone to my ear. "Hello?" I said alittle unsure.
"Good morning sunshine!" A female voice sang on the other end. " it's shana from Johnny's bar"
I rolled my eyes at myself, of course I meant to program her number into my phone last night but I guess I forgot.
"hey shana! Sorry I just woke up I'm not completely with it yet" I chuckled.
" We'll sleepy head I was gonna see if maybe you wanted to get together today, you know I could show you around be the ol' welcome wagon, what do ya say?"
" sure! Just tell me the time and place"
" yay!" She squealed. " I'll text you my address its not too far from the bar meet me around 2 and we can go grab lunch"
" sounds great, ill see ya then" a few minutes after we hung up I got her text I map quested her address and then I headed over to the gym to freshen up. This time I put more effort into my look did my hair, make up the whole nine. As soon as I was satisfied with what was staring back at me In the mirror I hoped into my car and headed to shana's. I was really looking forward to this, maybe alittle too much. But it's been a long time since I've felt like this. It's been awhile since I've hung out with someone that I haven't known my whole life. Don't get me wrong I miss my friends back home but this is just what I needed, a new life a fresh start and I was going to take advantage of it. I pulled into shana's driveway and killed the engine. She must have been watching from the window because before I could even open my car door she was doing it for me. "Hey little lady!!!!" She screamed arms wide open pulling me into a right hug. " hey" I squeezed out breathlessly. I stepped back as she beamed her pearly whites at me. Her long read hair and emerald eyes sparkling in the bright son. "Come on I made us lunch!" She grabbed my arm and ran into the house. As soon as we stepped in I looked around and a huge smile took over my face. As we finished up lunch and we cleaned up the kitchen. "Soooooo" she sang and cut her eyes towards me. I giggled and raised my eyebrows telling her to continue. " I think you need a girls night ya know just go out and unwind get a little crazy" apparently she didn't know me too well. I'm too boring to go out and get crazy. But screw that I'm a new woman now! " your on!! I could use some crazy in my life" she squealed and put her hands on my shoulders leaning into my face." That's my girl! Come one let's go get ready. I have the perfect outfit for you to wear!" She dragged me down the hall into her room. I couldn't believe my eyes she had avenged sevenfold posters everywhere!!! I swear this girl is too good to be true! " ummm earth to halen" she laughed waving her hand infront of my face following the line of vision. " you a avenged fan?" I turned slowly to meet her gaze. " uh hell yes!! I fucking love them!" I screamed. She giggled grabbing me from behind into a right hug. I could feel her breath on my ear " oh I have a feeling were going to be best friends, now come on slow poke let's get ready" she said snaking my ass. Next thing I knew all I saw was her tossing clothes everywhere from her closet. "Ah! Yes! Her we go madam this is going to look perfect on you!" She beamed holding up a tiny hot pink dress. I smiled uneasily and took the dress. I stripped out of my clothes and slid the dress on. I have to admit I didn't look half bad. "Ow!ow!" Shana squealed shaking her hand as if she touched something hot. " I knew you would look smoking in that! She winked and blew me a kiss. All I could do is blush I've never felt so good about myself. We finished getting ready. I put on some black silver studed heels and shana curled my long black hair so it was flowing down to my waist. And shana looked gorgeous. She has on a right emerald green dress that perfectly matches her eyes and some silver heels and pulled her long strawberry hair into a high pony tail. And with that we made our way to the nearest club. I was feeling confident until we stepped out of the car and I saw all these stunning people and then my insecurities set in. But I didn't want to ruin shana's night so I sucked it up and held my head high and we walked into the club. But one thing is for sure this is going to take a shit load of alcohol.
