“Who the fuck are you? And what do you want form my girl? And why do you come barging in here?!” I stretched myself out to my full height and the guy was a little smaller than me, point for Team Haner.

“What do you mean my girl? And who are you?” He looked at me and narrowed his eyes and then they widened in surprise, when he got it “Ah come on Ave, don’t tell me you fell back on the tricks?” The guys said and I lifted my eyes, what the fuck?!

“Didn’t you hear me?! I asked you some questions” I shoved against the chest of that guy, and it was totally on my agenda to put a punk like him in his fucking place.
“Stop it, Brian!” Ave quickly moved between us and I frowned down on her, what now?!

“Brian, this is Collin… Collin, this is Brian!” Ave said and I frowned “That’s all, Ave really?” I asked because I already knew there was more to it!
“Collin is my ex-boyfriend… We met him and his best friend Ian on the party.” Ave said she sounded a lot more sober now, not completely but maybe the shock of a potential fight got her sobering up.

“Brian is my boyfriend, Collin you must have misunderstood something. I tried to tell you that I was in a relationship.” Ave turned to the guy and I put my hand on her shoulders, pulling her into my body, I hated that this douche had ruined my moment of afterglow with Ave.

“What? Boyfriend?! We all heard you and Maya broke up with them… what a year ago and were free. So what’s this? You just came back together, fucking on some party?” Collin said and I took a step forward pushing Ave behind me “Don’t fucking talk like that, asshole. We are together and how long is none of your business, so why don’t you grab one of the drunk chicks from downstairs and have a good time before I beat your fucking-”

“Brian!” Ave interrupted me and tugged on my arm. “Stop that!”
“What he can’t talk to you like that!” I said angrily and looked at her “Why did you even hang out with that guy? How did it happen that I find you on some party hanging out with your ex, getting drunk and wanting to leave in a cab?! What the hell, Avery?” I asked, and I put her full name on which made her narrow her eyes at me.

“You know what?! If you don’t wanna believe me, fine. I’ll go find Maya and get out of here!” Ave said and threw her hair over her shoulder turning and stumbled away.
Both Collin and I stood there alone looking after her dumbfounded.

Okay, I said I liked the drunken Ave, huh?! But this was a side I had to get used to, still… wasn’t she damn hot like this?!
Shit, I should better catch up with her before she made true to her words and really left without me, but not before I made something clear, crystal clear.

I took the moment where Collin, was still distracted and moved up towards him, I surprised him by pushing him against the door with a lot more force then necessary and got right into his face.

“Let’s get out!” He more mouthed than said but I understood him. Maya was hanging on Matt’s arm and she looked also still pretty drunk, but not as bad as when I found Ave. Maya was trying to drag Matt away, but with no real success, what had those girls been doing here at this party, and when I came to think about that, I looked back at the guy cornered from me against the door.

“Last warning, stay away from Ave, or next time you won’t be so lucky!” I punched the door beside his face as last reminder that I was making this serious and then pushed away, going after Matt and Maya.
Maya was running her hands over Matt’s back and down to his ass and I lifted my eyebrows, what the hell…

“Babe” I heard Matt’s voice, he tried to get control of Maya’s hands but with not much success either, “Maya!” He coughed a little louder and she looked up at him with those pleading brown eyes and I knew the effect of pleading brown eyes, so Matt wasn’t standing any chances.

“Good god, M.” Matt growled and I really didn’t want to be part of what was going to happen between those two next.
“Where’s Ave?” I looked around not seeing her around and Matt tried to wiggle out of Maya’s death grip “Outside… Car” Was all I could make out before Maya was attacking Matt again.

I shook my head and left those two standing there, or probably lying soon, whatever.
I pushed my way outside and saw Ave standing next to my car, I wouldn’t be able to drive anymore, so I quickly pulled my phone out and called a cab, when I arrived beside Ave I just pushed the phone back into my pants and Ave turned her back on me.

What the hell?! How could this evening go so damn wrong, when all we wanted was surprise them today?!

“Ave” I said softly and put my hands on her shoulders, her skin was ice cold, her dress so short, and still damp, god, she would be sick tomorrow if I wouldn’t be doing something.

I opened my car and took one of my jackets out and put it carefully around her slim shoulders and even if she didn’t want to, she sighed in content when she was buried inside it.
I grabbed the front of the jacket and pulled her close to me, I laid my arms around her and tried to keep her warm, but not only for that.

“I missed you so bad, love.” I whispered in her ear and Ave nodded “Then why didn’t you call.. or send a message” She whispered back her voice sad and I looked into her face, trying to make her look deep in my eyes “I tried… we didn’t have a connection… on our way back I just received all you messages and calls… Fuck, I was about to call you right away, but we planned to surprise you… then we found out you were at this party and we wanted to surprise you there, but I had no idea that it would take us half the night to make you out in the crowd.” I told her honestly and she nodded.

“Why were you hanging out with that guy, Ave? What was all this about?” I asked finally the question gnawing on me since I saw her with him. God, I hated jealousy…
“We met them by accident… he wanted to talk… we played a drinking game… that’s all, then I ran into Matt… or rather Matt found me.” Ave shrugged and I felt her small form shiver and pulled her even closer, she sounded a lot more sober now.

“Do you…” I swallowed thickly “… still feel something for that guy?” I asked and Ave looked at me shocked her expression nearly like I slapped her.
“How can you even say that, you idiot?!” Ave nearly yelled now and it was my time to look at her shocked.

“I-I” I started but Ave was not done yet “When I nearly drove to Big Bear like a hundredth times, when I missed you- like I missed a piece of me, when all I could think about the entire time was - you?! You have to ask me that?!” Ave asked and I could only smile and that made Ave even angrier as it seemed.

But I wouldn’t let her be any angrier at me tonight, enough talking, enough confusion… now it was only time to make up for the time we were apart, everything would fall back in place, this party was over for us!

I sealed her lips with mine and kissed her hungrily, I laid everything in the kiss, every little emotion I felt for her, and her words kept playing around in my head…

I missed you- like I missed a piece of me, when all I could think about the entire time was – you!

She didn’t know just how true that was and how that described exactly what I was feeling for her, she was the one!

Maya’s POV

Matt coughed again and looked wildly around, he tried to grab my hand and pull me along, but I still hadn’t figured out what he really wanted… or what he was looking for!
Because all I knew I wanted was him… His heat, his hands on me… I just had him in the pool house, but all I could think was being with him again, making up for the time being apart, the time he made me miss him so dearly!

“Fuck” Matt cursed quietly “Gone” And I frowned, who was he searching for?!

I tiptoed and leaned into him, letting my breasts move over his arm, making him aware of my need.
“Matt… I need you… again” I told him and licked his earlobe, I felt Matt’s groan more than I heard it.

“We need to get out of here first!” He growled and took my hand, he dragged me outside and just when we arrived outside a cab drove past us, Matt tried to stop it, but it wouldn’t wait for us.

“Fucking hell” Matt held his phone out to me, it was already dialing and I frowned “Cab” He mouthed and I nodded, glad he was on the same page with me, getting home quickly. I missed him so bad and couldn’t wait to share our bed together… or couch… wherever we would land on first.

I talked to a woman and ordered us a cab; they said it would only take 5 minutes and that someone was around. I handed Matt the phone back and looked up at him “Will be here in 5”
I rubbed my hands over my arms and tried to feel a little warmer, here in the cold night air the effect of the alcohol and heat I was experiencing was slowly subsiding.

“Come here” Matt held his arms open and I quickly went into them.
“I feel immediately better with you in my arms” Matt’s voice was barely audible but I heard him nonetheless.

“I will take care of you when we are home.” I told him and let my hand move over his forehead, it was still hot and his cheeks flushed, shit he really was sick.
“You are glowing…” I said concerned and the last bit of alcohol was washing away in concern for him.
“I’m okay” He said and pulled me closer, his lips wanting to meet mine but I turned my head.

“What?” He asked and I shook my head “You are not okay… This is serious, Matt” I frowned at him but he shook his head.
“A good night’s sleep, will help” Matt coughed out and I shook my head at him, I wasn’t the best in these kind of things, but I sometimes took care of Ave when she was ill and her farther was away, so I had the basics in my mind.

When we arrived home and Matt paid the cabby, I quickly opened up and led Matt towards the bed. He wanted to refuse and tried to drag me inside with him, but I slipped away from his grip. I made him a tea and grabbed some water bottles to place beside the bed together with some pain killers.

When I came back I looked around for anything else that he could need and met then Matt’s hazel eyes staring at me “I need something else” He said his voice serious and I moved closer.
“What can I get you big guy?” I asked concerned that I forgot something, but instead of answering he grabbed my hips and lifted me into the bed, he held the blanket open for me to crawl in with him and hugged me to his hot body.

“Now, I got everything I need.” Matt whispered in my ear and I sighed.
“But what if-” I started and his arms around me just tightened and I sighed giving up.
“Well… there would be one more thing” He said after a long moment of silence.
“What?” I breathed out, not really wanting to get out of the warm bed and his embrace anymore, but for him I would anyway.

“You don’t own a nurse outfit, do you?” He whispered out and I chuckled shaking my head “No sadly not… but what if I will organize one tomorrow, would that make you feel better?” I asked and Matt nodded against me.
“So much better, had been fantasizing about you in one since days” He whispered again and I felt his hands run over my sides, I had exchanged the dress for a shirt from him and was not wearing any underwear.

“M?” Matt asked and his hands were now buried underneath my shirt, kneading and caressing me and my curves.
“Hmm…” I had my eyes closed and just enjoyed the feel of him, of having him back with me… finally.
“I don’t want to leave you again… Tell me we will find a way to not be apart that long anymore!” Matt asked and he had lifted himself up on his elbows, staring into my eyes now.

His eyes were burning into mine, so many emotions shining in them and I could only nod, didn’t want to disappoint him, feeling the same need of being close to him at all times, if that was really possible was a different question but for now, I wanted the same and would give him the same answer, too.

“We will find a way” I nodded and his lips crashed down on mine, no time to disagree anymore anyway, and that’s what I wanted… nothing else.
