so.... You're a superhero???

The ropes snapped with a loud crack as the giant skull with wings slowly fell towards the ground.
The girl placed her arms around her head, ready to brace for whatever might happen.

"Johnny! Connect us!" I yelled

Johnny placed his heads to his head and closed his eyes tightly, a white light rose up from the ground and over his body like a smokey haze.
When he opened his eyes they shone brightly as I felt him make a strong mental link between myself and my brothers.

"Good work Christ now i need you to go make sure no one else is trapped" he nodded and sprinted to the entrance gates.

"Ok zack" I shot a glance in zackys direction across the arena as he reached his arms out horizontally.
He spread his fingers out and breathed deeply as an invisible force field washed over us, the whole world seemed to slow down.
Even the fire looked more like dancing pythons twirling in the destruction around us rather than the burning flames of hell.

Embers danced in the subtle blow of the wind and the death bat prop barely inched from it's position.

I knew zacky could only hold his field for a few moments so we had to act quickly.

"Brian?" He locked eyes with me and I saw his mouth arch up into a smirk.

"I'll do what I can shads, but hurry"

Brian made his way towards the front of the stage and as the fire spread out before him he walked through the smoke and debree with burning red eyes, his hands lit up like molten lava as he set out to absorb the fires heat.

He stood before the beast like an angel of light surrounded by flame. He nodded to me and spun in a 360 circle creating a vortex of flame and air, the tornado slowly sucked the oxygen out of some of the fire, extinguishing it and making a clear path to the girl.

My plan seemed to be going well so far, all that was left was the girl in the mosh pit.

"Jimmy? You're up"

Jimmy jumped with glee as he got up off of the floor where he had been drawing in the dirt and jogged 'which to me seemed more like running' to the girl.
He knelt down next to her and slowly picked her up in his arms with ease.
She had fainted from the shock of her seemingly impending doom which made it easier for us.

I watched carefully as they all concentrated on their tasks.


My focus shifted to zacky when I felt him grimace in pain.
He was loosing his grip on time and the world started to speed back up to a regular pace.

"Matt!!, I can't hold it!!" He gritted his teeth together as he fell to his knees.
Brian was still busy with the fire and Jimmy hadn't returned.

He must have been distracted by our damsel in distress because he wasn't moving.

"Jimmy!! Get out of there!"

The death bat fell towards my brother and the girl, I sprinted toward them, the blood pumping through my veins fueled by adrenaline made me move even faster, I slid down next to them in the dirt as jimmy shielded the girl and I caught the prop in my arms.

We were lucky, one second later and they would have been crushed, the death bat landed centimeters from their heads, I took a deep breath in and lifted the prop, damn it was heavy, but not too heavy for me.

I dumped it beside me on the ground and patted the dust from my pants.

"C'mon man, let's go"

I took the girl from JImmy's arms and suddenly felt weaker.

Jimmy took a deep breath and coughed into his hand.
He seemed puffed out, which is insane because Jimmy never got tired.

I screwed up my face as I walked toward the exit with the girl.
She couldn't have weighed more than 50kgs but I felt like I could barely handle carrying her even for a short distance.

I placed her in the back of our private car where Johnny was waiting. He took one look at her and our mental link broke.

"what's going on? I can't hear the others anymore?" He whispered.

Brian appeared moments later with zacky on his back, his clothes still smoking and a little singed.

"He passed out shads, I had to carry his ass half way up the field"

Zacky groaned and slid off of Brian's back, he sat with his legs crossed on the ground with a plonk.
while taking a sip of water he raised an eye brow at Jimmy and mouthed 'sooooo whose that?'.

Not wanting to wake the girl I pulled the other four aside.
Jimmy was a little hesitant to leave her on her own but with a side ways glance every now and then he spoke up.
