A Little Piece of Heaven

After the mall we all headed back to mine and Jimmy’s house, we were sat in the basement which my had been turned into a kind of lounge room for me and Jimmy, there was Jimmy’s drum kit on a riser in the corner as well as a few amps and guitars scattered around ranging from electric, acoustic and bass.

There was also 3 big ass sofas that pulled out into king sized beds all placed around a flat screen TV with a few games consoles in a cabinet underneath. When we had gotten back the boys had put in call of duty and where currently having a tournament although it wasn’t much of one since Matt was the only one who ever seemed to win

“Ok. I’ve beaten everyone except you, so Jessie will you please have a game with me?” He asked holding out a controller for me

“I already told you Matt I don’t know how to play so you’d be guaranteed to win” He smiled at me

“I promise to go easy on you”

I sighed in defeat and took the controller from him. That’s when my brother decided it would be a good idea to make some bets.

“I bet you ten dollars my sister can beat Matt’s ass at this” he chuckled

Of course everyone bet that Matt would win, deciding it would be easy money, except for Jimmy who kept telling everyone he had faith in me

Matt leant in close to me so only I could hear “It’s nice of Jimmy to build your confidence up don’t worry that the guys bet for me”

“Come on Jessie you can do it!” at first I played pretty bad, Matt had a few kills on me, then I saw Jimmy discreetly give me our secret signal. That’s when I handed Matts ass to him on a silver platter. When the game was over and I came out as the winner nobody said a word and just silently handed Jimmy their money who quickly counted it and passed me half with a wink

“What we’ve been played” I Shrugged at Zacky then laughed at Matt while he looked at me still in shock

“Where the hell did you learn to play like that?!”

I shrugged “I’m not just a pretty face” Matt frowned at me and refused to play with me again for the duration of the weekend, which all too soon ended bringing with it my first day of my new school.

“PUMPKINS SCREAM IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT” I stuck my arm out of my cocoon of warmth my bed had created and blindly reached for my phone to switch off my alarm, but had no success

“TRICK OR TREAT TILL THE NEIGHBORS GONNA DIE OF FRIGHT” I continued to flail my arm about not prepared to get up just yet

“Come on bee time to get up” I slightly opened my eyes to see my Dad stood next to my bed holding my phone just out of my reach, I internally groaned. I cannot be doing with things like this in a morning, luckily the music didn’t really bother me, I just rolled over and attempted to go back to sleep.

That was cruelly ended when the cover was pulled away, leaving me cold, I turned to glare at my Dad while I climbed out of bed sending daggers at him. I waited until he left my room before sneaking across the hall and crawling into bed my brother who silently moved over to make room for me.

My victory was short lived when the cover was ripped off of us by our despicable Dad, I was positive this was some form of child abuse. Instead of letting him win we both snuggled into each other to preserve the heat we had left causing our Dad to leave the room with a defeated sigh.

An hour later we had reluctantly got out of bed and we were now rushing to get to school I had changed into a baggy Jack Daniels t, black skinny jeans and my battered black converse. We both wolfed down our breakfast that our amazingly awesome dad had made for us. We were catching a ride with Matt and the rest of the guys today we luckily for us were also running late.

Instead of making a fuss I just hopped on Jimmy’s lap today to save time, we managed to get the school just as the bell rang to signal the start of lessons, I grabbed hold of Jimmy
“Guys I need to go get my schedule from the office” My brother looked at me with wide eyes as the guys power walked away.

“Sorry Jessie you’re on your own, our homeroom teacher is a real dick” and with that he pointed me in the general direction of the office as he ran away leaving me to the wolves like a traitor.

I walked in the direction he pointed me in, cursing the ground the guys walk on. I entered the main office as quietly as humanly possible before making my way to the desk where a woman glanced up at me before silently passing me a schedule then carried on with what she was doing. I turned glancing down at my schedule, Shannen Brown, no fucking way.

I looked up with wide eyes into the smirking face of my English best friend I laughed and through myself into her arms

“What are you doing here I didn’t think you where moving out here anymore” I asked pulling away from her

“No we always were, my mom wanted to come out here sooner so I decided to surprise you” She grinned

The woman from behind the desk loudly cleared her throat “Shouldn’t you girls be on your way to class rather than stood here chatting?” Me and Shannen left not giving the woman another glance

We both waited until the bell went for first period before going separate ways I had to make my way to English class.

When I walked in the room most of the class was already there including my brother, Matt, Brian, Zacky and Johnny they all tried to wave me over but I ignored them and went to find somewhere else to sit, that’s when I noticed Shannen sat on her own in the back corner of the room falling asleep.

So I made my way over to her and dived on the desk making her jump and almost fall out of her seat

“What the!!... God you almost gave me a heart attack” I grinned at her while she recovered

“I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself I’m sitting next to you by the way” I said plopping down, she smiled at me

“Do I have a choice?”

“Nope not really, you’re stuck with me until some tragic incident cruelly tears us apart” she laughed at me

“Are you on some sort of drug?”

“Just a spoonful of sugar baby” I said laughing while she joined, the teacher Mr Hooch came in looking like he’d rather be anywhere else than her which I didn’t really blame him for, he set us off with our work

The class was going quite fast when about half way through it was interrupted by my brother torturing Johnny

“Mr Sullivan can you please keep your hand’s to yourself and refrain from touching Mr Seward” Mr Hooch asked exasperatedly which made my brother laugh

“Hahahaha It cannot be done, I just have to it’s my life’s mission from god, he came to me in a vision and said if I didn’t bully Johnny the world would end and we cant have that happening now can we” The teacher shook his head

“Mr Sullivan please depart from my classroom and make your way to the head teachers office” He carried on laughing as he skipped out of the room and made sure you could hear him by hitting the lockers and shouting as he made his way down the corridor, Mr Hooch got up and shut the door but you could still hear him just muffled.

Shannen turned to me laughing and shaking her head

“That dude’s fucking epic, you know he kind of reminds me of you” I smiled at her

“Yeah, sure” She looked at me weirdly but then turned her attention back to the front as Mr Hooch was now telling Matt and Brian off for something

“You two get out of my class room” They both laughed and Brian stood up Shannen turned to me and whispered

“Woah that guy is … who the fuck is his friend” I laughed at her reaction to Matt as he stood up while him and Brian left the room

“Jessie, did you see that guy?! he was fit as fuck” I laughed at her

“Yes Shannen I did see that guy” She stuck her tongue out at me and I laughed again.

We spent the rest of the lesson talking instead of working when the lesson ended I found out she had the same next lesson as me which we then walked to together, the boys were also in that lesson but they seemed to know I wasn’t talking to them but they know it was only playful.

The next two lessons I also had with Shannen the boys should have also been in there but apparently they had skipped as far as I could tell nobody had figured out me and Jimmy are twins not even Shannen although when Shannen left me to go to the bathroom one kid turned around leaning back on the back two legs of his chair and supporting himself on my desk and said cockily in front of his friends

“Hey you and that weirdo Jimmy kid have the same last names you could be twins your dress ‘sense’ certainly matches” He laughed viciously apparently meaning it as an insult, So I smiled, leant forward and kicked his chair so it went back to its original position then said in a patronizing tone

“Didn’t your mother tell you little boy not to lean back on your chair, you might fall over and get yourself a little boo boo” His friends laughed at him and lucky enough for me he ignored me for the rest of the class.

Not long after Shannen came back the bell went for lunch break, Shannen informed me that she was going home as her first week in school she was only going to be in until lunch so she left and I made my way out to the yard where I knew my brother and the guys would be since they had lunch by the secluded benches at the back of the biggest tree.

I instantly saw the guy’s so I began walking towards them I was almost there when Jimmy spotted me and dived over the table almost making Johnny fall over so he could run towards me so I thought what the hell and ran at him we both met and collapsed to the floor laughing manically he jumped up and pulled me up too holding onto me and shouted dramatically

“Oh Jessie, my dearest sister I will never leave you like that again, it wasn’t my fault they made me do it” He glared at them while we all laughed

“Oh Jimmy, my dearest brother never leave me again do not get corrupted by these weird amazingly dressed epically awesome people because next time you may find yourself stuck in a deep well with Justin Beiber or Rebecca Black or even worse both” He looked at me with mock fear then let me go and went and hid behind Matt.

I chuckled and joined them we joked about for the rest of lunch then when the bell went we made our way over to the science building. I was in a class with Zacky and Johnny and the others where still in science but had a different room to us.

The three of us got a lab desk near the back of the room and Johnny went and got the chemicals for the experiment we would be doing and the best thing was they trusted ME with them, Haha you think they would learn with Jimmy but obviously not.
