Erin’s P.O.V

I woke to the bright light of the sun and the sound of my phone ringing; I slowly got up trying to not bother Izzy who was sound asleep on the couch. I reached out and answered seeing that Monique was calling me.

“Hey what’s up?” I asked and she sounded uneasy.

“So you will never guess who just showed up at my house!” She said and I just rubbed my eyes.

“Who?” I asked still unaware of everything.

“Tyler” She said and I just sat there and rubbed my head.

“Shit! He showed up out here?” I asked trying to pull myself together… he was clingy… obsessive and I knew that he would hate Matt in every single way.. we had the worst breakup ever and I honestly don’t know why I ever dated that prissy stuck up snob.

“Yeah I went for some coffee and when I got home he was in the kitchen and my mom stupidly told him where you live… have you heard from the guys… Johnny hasn’t texted me at all” She said and I realized that there were no messages from Matt and no sign of dad. The doorbell rang and Izzy shot up.

“Shit I think he is here” I said in my tank top and underwear. Izzy got up walking to the door.

“STOP” I said trying not to be loud. She nearly fell startled by me.

“That’s Tyler… don’t answer it!” I said almost whispering to her and her jaw dropped a little and as I peeked out the curtains I saw Val come up the walk way…. OH JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!!!!!!! I handed Izzy the phone and I grabbed my shorts and answered the door.

“Ummm hello” I said to them both.

“ERIN!” Tyler said and hugged me but I pulled back.

“Friend of yours E? I think Matt would be really interested in knowing this guy” She said… oh bitch don’t you even fucking dare.

“Just someone from Texas… actually Ty… what the hell are you doing here?” I asked turning to him and folding my arms across my chest.

“I came to see you duh silly girl… you and I had something special” He said and Val just started cracking up.

“Oh just shut your fucking cakehole” I said to her and I just shook my head.

“We HAD something… past tense Ty” I said motioning between us and Val was going to say something and threw my hand in front of her face.

“NAH! YOU QUIET I WILL GET TO YOU” I said loudly… this frustration was getting to me.

“Okay look I know that I hurt you Erin… but I went to therapy and got back into football and then I got an offer to come study here and I thought it would be a good chance for us to gain back what we had before that fight” He said putting his hand on my long hair and rubbed it… just then I saw Matt out of the corner of my eye with my dad… fucking hell.

Matt’s P.O.V

I was the last one with Mr. Collins after he dropped the guys off and I was completely happy at the time that we took in the studio. Both of us got out at his house and when we got up the walkway Val and some random brown haired guy was touching Erin’s hair. Mr. Collins sighed and I just waited there. Erin turned her head and ran down and hugged me tightly.

“Thank god you are here” She whispered and her dad grabbed her arm and mine and
pulled us for a moment.

“Just once second Mr. Hale” Her dad said to the brunette. Val sat there chatting up a storm with him. I turned to Erin who was getting a little anxious.

“When did he get here?” Her father asked looking in her eyes and she stuttered a little bit.

“f-five minutes ago” She said… it was a mix between shaking and shivering in the motions that she was making.

“Can I be filled in on what is going on?” I asked nicely.

“Tyler Hale… he was her boyfriend from Texas… but that boy had major issues… Erin was in therapy and she went through a stuttering and anxious phase after the breakup before we moved and now he is here” Mr. Collins said. I looked up at Tyler and I walked over to him.

“Hey what’s up dude?” I asked him trying to make small talk even though I hated him already.

“Hey just waiting for Erin… and talking to her good friend Val” He said… and I was trying to hold back the laughter. Izzy walked out and Tyler stepped back a little.

“Hale” She said.

“Phillips… didn’t know you were here” He said to her and she laughed.

“I’m so thrilled you remembered me… but really Monique is the one you should be afraid of... oh and I see you just met Matt... Erin's boyfriend” Iz said to him… go Izzy. Erin and her father walked up and I grabbed Erin taking her in the doorway.

“Mr. Hale… if you wouldn’t mind… maybe now is not a good time” Mr. Collins said and Val walked away with Tyler… what the fuck. I walked in with Erin and Izzy and I sat with her and her father kneeled in front of her and grabbed her cheeks as she rocked back and forth. He shoved medication in her mouth and he and Izzy walked away talking. I wrapped my arm around Erin and sang to her softly to try and calm her down.

“And we have gone through good and bad times, but your unconditional love was always on my mind, you’ve been there from the start for me, and your loves always been true as can be, I give my heart to you, I give my heart, cause nothing can compare in this world to you woah” I sang lightly and she pulled her head from my chest.

“That was gorgeous! I missed you last night” She said quietly trying not to stutter and I kissed her forehead.

“I am so sorry I didn’t call or text.. I was actually at Hopeless with you father… he signed us last night” I said and her eyes glittered with excitement. And suddenly the front door flew open and Monique looked around.

“WHAT DID I MISS!!!” She said… oh Monique!
