Third Person

“I’m so sorry.” Hannah cried, hugging Erin tightly and burying her face in her best friends neck. “I’m so sorry, I let him into our house, I promise I’ll-“

“Hey, hey-“ Erin cut her off. “Why are you apologising, huh? You were attacked, you were almost killed and you’re seriously worried about whatever damage was done to the house?” Hannah sniffled and nodded in response. “That’s what we have insurance for, okay? For now, let’s just worry about giving your statement to the police so that they can take care of this.” What neither of the girls noticed was Matt tensing up at the mention of the police being the ones to take care of the whole incident. He didn’t trust those pigs with anything, he would be the one to take care of this mess, and the guys would help. It was their job to do so after all, but none of their fans knew what they really did with their time off from touring and making new albums.

“Are you ready for them to come in now hun? I believe they finished talking to the doctor and nurses” Erin questioned Hannah and she was hesitant… this was all still surreal and fresh in her mind and to talk over it was going to be pretty hard but she was as ready as she could be. Erin listened in hearing the statement and she covered her mouth tearing up from time to time. How could anyone want to do that to her?

“You said Matthew Sanders was there to help you?” The officer questioned and Hannah thought nothing of it, she just gave a simple yes.

“He had pretty good timing being there… most people don’t get so lucky just showing up. We will have to follow up with him but for this next part we would like to ask that Ms. Taylor step out and give us the room. Erin could only nod, she rubbed Hannah’s arm and exited, Matt was about to walk in but Erin shut the door and looked up.

“They are still doing their thing, you can’t go in there” She said and of course Matt didn’t like it but he had to back off for now… Erin and Matt were silent as they paced around, she was uneasy after the cops statement and because she wasn’t there she wasn’t sure how to feel about anything. The rest of the band walked in greeting Matt and the moment that Zack moved to hug Erin trying to be on her good side she just pushed herself back. Zack pulled her to the side holding onto her arm.

“Oh c’mon really why are you so upset with me? That was so rude” He growled a little but contained it so that he could play it cool for the guys.

“Oh you know why.. God you are so annoying just showing up earlier” She said because earlier Zack got himself into a bit of a bind with her…

--flashback--
Erin was out with her co-workers, one of the rare times that she left either the office or her home office but she needed to learn more about her coworkers and it was required by the company that they do ‘team building’ exercises. Her friends though said it gave them all a reason to drink and then go out for drunk Korean BBQ. They were out and already on the second place in the trip and the ladies that worked with her seemed pretty amazing.
“So let's talk men because the nerds here certainly do anything for me, this company needs hot men! Any men in your life Erin?” Stacy, one of the main girls Erin worked with asked and Erin was shuffling through my mind.
“Men come and go in my life, I was engaged once and that turned out horribly wrong. Now I mean I'm interested in someone but it's seeming unlikely, then there is one that I think of but it's that ‘playing with fire’ type of crush that you should probably stay back from but can't” Erin giggled and everyone seemed to be super interested.
“Ohhhhh those ones are the best though in bed, yeah they are probably dicks but lemme say…. They give the dick!” Stacy joked and it caused Erin to laugh loudly. The day seemed to be progressing well. But Erin had an odd feeling, that feeling where you just keep looking over her shoulder.
“I'm gonna run to the bathroom I'll be right back!” Erin said happily and she made her way to the bathroom, she did her thing and was applying her makeup, the lights flickered in the dim bathroom, she ran the small brush over her lips making sure that her favorite lip color was perfect and complimented her outfit nicely.
“Okay just chill… all bathrooms feel awkward.. You look great and you are around good people” Erin reassured herself as she finished adjusting herself. But what she didn’t realize is for the past 2 hours Zack was following closely behind her. He had become more and more infatuated with her as the days past, he would watch her every move, he memorized all her food and drink orders, he ordered Jimmy to monitor her internet traffic and knew what she liked and disliked for clothes based on credit card purchases. Zack was always the quietest one.. The one to keep his life out of the public eye and also the one with the biggest temper besides Matt… he had so many secrets. But sometimes even the best slipped up and it was at that moment when Zack wasn't far behind her coming out of the bathroom that he had to lie his way out.
“Ya know it's interesting how you just think I'm so stupid that I can't tell when someone has been around all day… I have a master's degree, I do my own security, so c'mon let's hear it, why you following me?” Erin said not even turning around, Zack tried keeping quiet and sneaking off but he lost sight of her and it wasn't till she was there, arms folded in front of her that he realized with her there would need to be extra precautions.
“Has it ever occurred to you that people go out on dates, people do shit with friends?” He questioned and she just scoffed.
“You've been doing this for 2 hours at least, you just happened to be at all the same places, right” She spat at him, she hadn't taken quite the shine to him although he was taken by her, she was into Gates but somehow he disappeared from her lately, Zack was not going to give up though.
“Think whatever you want to Erin, I'm just doing my day to day things, I was out, maybe you're just a paranoid freak” He said a bit harshly but he knew deep down the hate would bring the want and this would drive him to learn from his mistakes and start planning his next moves with her.

--4 days later--
Erin

In the past few days things had been hell, very stressful and it was still taking a lot of time to get things back to normal. The cops were investigating the case, they were quiet unless they had questions for Hannah and it only further made it tense for Matt because Hannah was going through a bit of PTSD. I knew she had every reason to be scared, and currently we were staying at Matt's, he resided with Jimmy and Zack. She wouldn't leave and on the rare occasion she did it wouldn't be without Matt, the guys were worried and neither Jimmy nor Zack would let me go places on my own, simple errands seemed very complicated. It was the first time I had finally gotten out on my own to make a trip to the office, I hadn't been sleeping much even on my meds, it was just weird, I rubbed my eyes paying attention to the road just trying to keep focus but my phone kept ringing.

“Oh my god stop calling me!” I growled at the phone and tossed it into the backseat of my Charger. I was a pretty speedy driver but not too much to draw attention to myself, so it was shocking when a large truck was riding my ass.

“Oh hell no truck you won’t even dick me over I am going fifty fucking five!” I said to myself as I sped up and it kept right on me, it got to the other lane and I couldn't see the driver, the windows were blacked out from the tint, they started veering towards me so I went off to the shoulder of the road a bit and the truck got behind me so I sped up. I could hear the engine roar and before I could even blink my head snapped forward as the truck smashed into the back of my car, my hands gripped the wheel tightly to try to keep the car steady but moments later my car lost traction and it spun. I don't think I even remember the full spin but I heard the engine of the truck rev and I moved to my back seat before feeling the truck crush into the car and I came out the other side hiding behind my crushed car trying to wait out the truck viciously trying to find my phone calling the first number not caring who it was rolling away as the truck hit the car again hearing Zack yell.

“Erin!? The hell is happening!” I heard faintly through all the commotion.

“NEED HELP NOW FUCK FUCK FUCK!” I shouted dropping the phone trying to get far away. It hadn’t stopped till people got out of their cars, a lady and her husband came and picked me up putting a cloth to my head and the truck sped away. I tried to get the plate number but it was only partial as part of it was covered up. Everyone was overwhelming me as they surrounded me and the cops came asking so many questions, Zack was the next to show up and since I was in a bit of shock I couldn’t help but just run to him and just push my body right into his.

“Jesus what happened?” He questioned and I couldn't make out any words, I was in total shock, I was shaking and panicking harder than ever, Zack took me away from the scene and back to Matt's being cautious of everything around. I was silently sitting on the couch shaking when Hannah found out what was happening and she rubbed my arms trying to just calm me, she was the only one that knew me the most.

“Zack run upstairs and in her blue bag there are some sleeping pills, grab one and get a glass of water” Hannah said and I rested my head against her. Zack didn’t say a word he just followed her instructions, she and Matt were chatting and sitting close as I rested on her and Zack sat down calmly next to me.

“If you want I can carry you upstairs and get you comfy, I promise that I won’t be inappropriate, I just want you to be alright… please” He offered and at this point I was fine with it.. He was the one to take me away from the crime scene and I was just glad to know he cared so much. I nodded gently and he picked me up being careful with the water and meds and we went to the bedroom. The moment I hit the bed I pulled the blanket to meet my chest clenching my fists around it…

Zack

Erin was in bed, the way she was gripping the blankets only made my blood boil more… I
hated knowing that someone was after such a good person. Her and Hannah were both amazing and whoever was fucking with them was going to pay majorly and Matt and I weren’t going to show any mercy.

“Alright, here is your sleeping pill and the water, I don’t want to bother you so if you want I can just go” I said to her and she grabbed the medication taking it with a small sip of the water and she pulled the blanket up on the other side of the bed.

“Stay” She whispered and put her head on the pillow. She was so quiet and it was very out of character but I lied down next her and kept close to watch her playing with the ends of her hair, she was already half asleep but the moment passed and I felt her starting to shake and cough.

“Erin whoa! What the fuck! HANNAH GET IN HERE!!!” I shouted trying to turn Erin over as she started to foam at the mouth… did I give her too much? It was one pill? Did I get the wrong thing!? What if this was all my fault...
