I just finished putting on my eyeliner for the millionth time when someone knocked on my door.
I jumped up, checked myself again in the mirror, black ‘Misfits’ t-shirt looking perfect with the white hipster, skinny flare jeans. The tee slightly baggy on the shoulder, but tight around the waist, it’s amazing what a pair of scissors and a sewing machine can do!
I don’t even like the Misfits, they fucking scare me, but I’ve gotta get in Zacky’s good books!

I open the door to find a not so perfect Gena. Her hair is messily tied up and her make up is defiantly from last night. Now normally I would admire a girl who can pull this look off, but I despise Gena, so therefore – she can’t!

GENA: (With a warm, fun loving smile.) Hiya!

CASSY: Hey.

GENA: I’m Gena! Avengeds stylist!

She doesn’t even introduce herself as Zacky’s girlfriend! God – she’s ashamed of being Zacky V’s girlfriend!

CASSY: Oh, cool.

GENA: Well, most refer to me as Zack’s woman, but not me sister! I’m much more than a girlfriend ya know? Did you unpack?

CASSY: Just a few things.

GENA: Okay. Well, I’ll help you pack up and take you down for breakfast. Val was spitting feathers when she realised you’d been left up here. We would have called you, but Val’s phone died and she can’t find the charger. Matt B’s got your number, but Jimmy, Brian and the B-boys snuck out last night and we think he got laid and now we can’t find him. So I volunteered to come get you! Wow – I’ve only been awake twenty minutes and I’ve already had an eventful morning.

Cassy smiles, it not quiet reaching her eyes, but Gena doesn’t notice.

GENA: So how can I help pack back up? Don’t worry about taking them to the bus, we’ll get one of the boys to do it.

ZACKY: Hey baby.

Zacky gives Gena a hug from behind and kisses her cheek. Then smiles at Cassy.

ZACKY: Morning! Sleep well?

CASSY: Yes, thanks.

ZACKY: Glad someone got some sleep!

GENA: (Playfully shrugging off his hug.) Shut up, I missed you-

ZACKY: Shouldn’t have left then.

GENA: And I have a business to run. How come you’re up here anyway?

ZACKY: Forgot my box of wires! (To Cassy.) Glad I got you-

GENA: He’s kinda forgetful.

ZACKY: (Squeezing Gena tightly.) Sorry little lady, what’s your name?

Gena giggles.

ZACKY: I gotta go, Val’s cooking breakfast. Don’t be long girls, it’ll go cold.

GENA: I’m not eating. Once we’re back on the road, I’m going back to sleep.

ZACKY: No fair!

GENA: Your breakfast is going cold.

ZACKY: Oh yeah. See you soon.

Zacky goes into his room, as Gena walks into Cassys.

GENA: We better hurry. Where do you need things?

CASSY: Erm…

GENA: Shall I put your hair dryer and straighteners away?

CASSY: Yeah, okay. (They go in the suitcase.) I’ve just bathroom stuff to get.

They busy themselves putting little things away, but Cassy did most of it before Gena turned up.

GENA: You excited?

CASSY: Yeah.

GENA: You a fan?

CASSY: Yeah, kinda.

GENA: Kinda?

CASSY: I landed the job and thought I better do research and liked what I heard.

GENA: That’s cool. How long have you known about the job?

CASSY: Three weeks.

GENA: You work fast!

Cassy walks out of the bathroom, the sunshine hitting her hair.

GENA: Fuck! Are you aurban?

CASSY: (Touching her hair, and looking in the mirror trying to fix it.) Oh yeah, I need my roots done, but I haven’t had the time.

GENA: No you don’t! Do you mind? (Not giving her a chance to answer, she runs her fingers through Cassy’s wavy hair, she did with the straighteners.) Oh, I would kill for this colour. It’s got gorgeous natural tones. Hey, would you mind modelling for my new portfolio? I’ve already got Michelle, but I love the natural colour, and I could totally bring it back dark naturally for you, so you don’t have like this line of blonde?

CASSY: Oh, uhm.

GENA: Now, don’t say you can’t model! That’s what Val used to say-

ZACKY: (From the other room, after a bang.) Fuck!

GENA: God! These walls are thin! Zack – you okay?

ZACKY: Yeah! My toe isn’t though!

GENA: Be careful! (To Cassy.) Oh mother of fuck! We didn’t keep you awake last night did we? I’m so sorry. And after all your flight trouble!

CASSY: No, honestly. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep.

GENA: Well if it ever happens again, just bang and tell us to shut the fuck up! Everyone else does! Come on, Val will kill me if I don’t bring you to the bus soon!

They walk out the room together.

GENA: I can’t wait to get my fingers on your hair. It’ll have to be this week though, I’m doing Michelle’s then she’s doing the shoot. I say shoot. It’s my camera and somewhere pretty outside. I’m trying to really build on my clientele. Way I see it, Sevenfold won’t be around forever, and you never know what’s around the corner. You never know, Zack and I might have mouths to feed soon. So, what do you want for breakfast? So I can call Matt to tell Val.

CASSY: I normally just have tea and cereal.

GENA: Tea? As in tea?

CASSY: Yeah.

GENA: Herbal tea?

CASSY: No like, proper tea. English tea.

GENA: Are you English?

CASSY: My mom is.

Waiting for the elevator.

CASSY: I know Val has got everything in that bus. She could even open a supermarket. Every type of drink, juice, apple, grapefruit, orange, coffee, Running out of ideas. Milkshakes, protein shakes, energy drinks…monkeys piss. But I don’t think she’s got tea! We’ll see huh?

They get in the elevator together, it’s just about to go when Zacky stops it.

GENA: Why are you still up here?

ZACKY: Making room for breakfast!

GENA: Eww!

ZACKY: Just be glad you don’t have to go back in that room!

GENA: See what I’ve got myself with?!

Cassy smiles again, but again, it doesn’t reach her eyes. Neither Gena or Zacky see as they are holding onto each other tightly.

Now, can I just say, for the record, I have NOTHING against Gena. I don't know her and I never will, but Im 100% sure she is a lovely woman. That's the way I tried to put her across, however, Cassy will never see her as a nice woman. All feelings and thoughts from Cassy are NOT my own.
