Jess’ POV

Jimmy and I ran into the pouring rain, we were soaked and just made a couple of feet.
“Are you sure, we are not going to be late?” I yelled over the loud noise and Jimmy shook his head, his wet hair flying.
“We gonna make it. I never missed a show and not planning to start now.” He yelled back and grabbed my hand even firmer.

I felt my phone buzz in my pants and tried to read it while we kept on running. I thought we didn’t get that far away from the hotel to grab something to eat but apparently I had been wrong.
I couldn’t even see the hotel and I had no idea in which part of the town we were in right now.

“Damn it, I thought…” I heard Jimmy’s voice but I wasn’t too sure. “Left, we need to turn left.” He said then and I followed him while reading the text that I received from Maya.
Apparently they were concerned that we weren’t with them and they head to leave for the show, right about now... Damn it!

“Maya wrote me… they tried to call you. They head to the show, we need to hurry! What should I write her back?” I asked him, my wet clothes hugging my body.
“Write her, we will meet them at the show, we will be on time… they shouldn’t worry. I’m always on time for a show.” He repeated and I nodded and slowed down to write my reply, when I hit the send button Jimmy dragged me forward again.

We ran and ran for what felt like miles, I always had the time in view, afraid we wouldn’t make it.
Not only that I didn’t help with the booth and Maya and Ave had to do everything on their own with this awful weather, but Jimmy could really miss a show.

And they would blame me, I shouldn’t have gone with him to get something to eat, we were so lost in our talks that we didn’t see that the time had flown away.
Shit, shit shit… They would let me pack my bags right away, I wouldn’t see any of them again and the worst of it all I wouldn’t see Jimmy again.

“We will make it, stop that look. I know we will.. I am the fucking Knife Master, I will manage. Now put a smile on for me, will you?” Jimmy said and I hadn’t even realized that he slowed down to look at me.
“I.. and.. I mean.. and what if not? What if-” My sentence was stopped when his lips crashed down on mine and not in a gentle way but in a hungry out of control Jimmy way.

I grabbed onto his wet shirt for dear life and his hands roamed over my body and I could nearly forget in what situation we were in right now.
The rain was still pouring down on us but for this few seconds of the kiss everything calmed down and went still.

“God, I needed that. There… a cab stand. Let’s haul ass over there and get us a cab to the venue. Everything will be fine, I told you so.” Jimmy grinned and ran towards the cars.
I tried to catch up with him, but damn he was so fast, he leaned into a window talking to one of the drivers and then opened the back door, holding it open so I could jump right in.

Jimmy told him the address of the festival venue and the driver knew it already, had been going back and forth a couple of times, so if there wouldn’t be any more complications, we would be there.. barely in time.
The car was slowing down while Jimmy already threw some dollar notes at the driver and nearly pushed me out of the still moving car.

He showed his batch to the security people and just dragged me along with him, when we reached the area leading to the backstage area and the show, I had to say goodbye and my heart stopped a second, did they just announc Avenged?!

“Fuck, I need to go!” Jimmy kissed me a final time before he ran away as if death itself was behind him and then suddenly Drums began to play and I heard Matt’s voice over the mic and sighed in relief, we made it… or better he did… I was still not at my job.

I ran towards the booth seeing everything set up, but the small tent ceiling was bending under the huge amount of water.
“I’m gonna call MB” I heard Maya’s voice “We will never be tall enough to reach that”
“We need a Jimmy here” Ave chuckled and I had to grin.
“You call MB, maybe he can help us or send someone, I’ll call Jason” Avery said and they both pulled their phones out.

“I’m sorry, so sorry. How can I help?” I asked before they could say anything.
Maya just waved me in to come closer to them, holing up a stack of wet shirts “Can you put them away to dry- Hey Matt, we got a problem with the roof… yeah too much water, can you come over? Send someone? Please?” Maya said and I took the shirts from her.
“Sure” I nodded and she kept on discussing something with Matt Berry while I saw Avery hang up her phone.

“So Jimmy made it?” Ave asked winking at me and I nodded “Yes, just in time. Damn, we didn’t know we were so late… we went out to have something to eat and then time just flies…” I said and Avery nodded still grinning.
“I know… we all do. Jimmy has that effect on everyone.” Ave grinned “Right, M?” Maya chuckled
“Yeah, he is amazing.” Maya joined me and we tried to dry the wet shirts as best as we could and shield the still dry ones from not getting wet throughout the still pouring rain.

“Your saviors are here” Jason announced when he appeared together with his brother Matt.
Avery grinned greeting them with a hug and Maya just tapped her foot on the ground “About damn time” Matt grabbed her around the waist and set her into the rain, soaking them both while Maya squealed. Jason grinned and eyed Avery from the side, she didn’t seem to notice the mischief in his eyes until it was too late and then Jason hugged Avery into his arms, caging her in and also dragged her into the rain, stumbling and they both landed in the muddy ground, looking now wet and dirty from top to bottom.

“JASON!” Avery screamed and he just laughed loudly and the way Jason looked at her made it hard to believe that they were just friends.
His eyes scanned over Avery’s now exposed belly, his eyes lingering there longer then they should and when he pulled her back up he hugged her for a while, she smiled and chuckled at his behavior but something was off, at least it looked like that for me.
They hadn’t done much more then Matt and Maya but somehow it looked totally different between them and the other friends.
Maybe I could ask Avery about that later on in a private moment...

I shook my head, not that this was any of my business. “Alright, now back to work, I need to be back on the stage in about 5 minutes.” Matt announced and grabbed his brother away from Avery.
“Girls, you get all the shirts from this side to this side and we will try to push the water down over here, okay?” Matt asked and we nodded.

We quickly grabbed all the shirts and the guys got to work, it didn’t work out as we planned, and we were in the end all wet and Jason and Avery still muddy too, but then we at least had all the shirts and hoodies saved.

About an hour later the show would be over soon Maya announced that we should close down for today, not many people were around anyway and we would rather catch us a cold then sell any more shirts and I had to admit that she was probably right.

“Should we head back to the bus? Or to the hotel?” I asked and Maya longingly looked over to the stage.
“You can go, I will check out my bf on stage for the last song” Maya grinned and Avery looked torn.
“You wanna join watching? Or rather get back?” Avery asked and I wasn’t too sure.
“Alright, come let’s get some fresh clothes and a hot shower before they get back, it’s just one song left, we will watch another show with you together, how does that sound?” Avery asked and laid her arm around my waist and I smiled.
“Sounds perfect.” I smiled back at her and we headed off to the cab stand, let’s see if some cab driver was willing to take a soaking wet and a dirty and wet girl with him in his vehicle.

Brian’s POV

I looked over the crowd, the rain was still pouring but not one of the people in the crowd had left, they were having fun and that energy was amazing.
I grinned and looked to the side, meeting brown eyes and chuckled seeing a completely drenched Maya standing at the side of the stage.

But why Ave wasn’t with her and Jess was also not to be seen, why didn’t they watch the last song?
I walked past Matt and he nodded as if he was asking what I was thinking when I motioned my head to the side I saw the instant second when his eyes landed on his girl.
A grin spread over his face and he missed the first two words of the song that just started, but he quickly caught up, wouldn’t be a first… and not a last for Matt’s singing adventures.

He walked near the side of the stage, while I was doing my solo and grabbed a water bottle and I think I saw him steal a kiss, but wasn’t too sure, which made me even more jealous that my girl didn’t decide to come over here.

When the song was done and we threw our picks in the crowd I saw Matt running to Maya, he stopped right in front of her, not hugging her “Why are you so wet?” He frowned and Maya rolled her eyes, “All for you, babe” She chuckled and winked at him while she sprang into his arms and I made some gagging noised while going past them which earned me a slap to the head, damn him for his long arms.

“You should see Ave, she is wet and muddy, so be glad I am just wet… and you can thank your roadies for that oh and do you have a shirt to lend me..I’m getting cold” Maya said and I rolled my eyes, and then frowned.
Why would Ave be muddy? And what did our roadies have to do with it?
“Did Ave leave to the hotel?” I asked going a few steps back and Maya nodded, still hanging in Matt’s arms.

“Yeah, she and Jess went back. Waiting there for you…” Maya said and Matt let her down.
“Babe, I gotta speak to Matt and Dan real quick. You should also go back to the hotel, grab some fresh clothes and take a shower, so you won’t get ill. I’m gonna join you afterwards” He winked at her and Maya gave him a final kiss.
“Fine, then I’m taking this one with me oh and this one” Maya hooked her arm into mine and Jimmy's who decided to join us.

When we arrived at the hotel Jimmy and Maya had made some plans about going shopping for the evening but my brain was only working part time at the moment, wanting to see Avery and about the ways we could spend this night together.

“You will tell Matt, right?” Maya asked when we got out the cab. “Tell Matt what?” I asked confused.
And Jimmy slapped his hand to his forehead “What we just talked about.” He said again and I frowned even more.
“You gonna get some alcohol and snacks?” I asked trying to recall what the blabbering had been about.
“Yeah, sweets, we need sweets… and alcohol. We meet in my room, I got the largest. You gather everyone there. Here is my card…” Jimmy handed me his key card and I frowned “Why do you have the largest room again?”
He just grinned “Because I can” Was all he said and I stared at them as they ran away.
Jimmy took Maya on his back running even faster and I shook my head, okay so again no quiet evening for Ave and me.

I left a message for the rest of the band at the reception to meet in Jimmy’s room after they got ready and went up to meet with Avery.
She would be waiting in our room, maybe I could at least sneak some time in for us together.
I walked into the elevator and just before the doors closed, someone squeezed in.

“So Jimmy’s room later?” Jason asked smiling and I frowned “Yeah and what the hell did you do? Mud-Wrestling?” I asked him and looked him up and down, his shoes, pants and shirt… and even his hair was full of slowly drying mud.
“Well.. yeah something like that.” Jason grinned and I frowned, what was that about?
Not my business anyway, I went to my room since he didn’t give any further explanation.
But I still had in my mind that yesterday Jason and Avery had been talking so privately again, what had that been about?
Maybe I should ask Avery about that, she would tell me, right? She wouldn't keep a secret... whatever it was?!

When I opened my hotel room door all thoughts left me when I heard how the water shut down in the shower, oh man… I groaned, I missed the best part already.
“Babe? Ave? I’m back!” I yelled and heard the lock on the door.
“Give me a second. I’m getting ready then you can.”
“Don’t lock me out, I can help you.” I grinned trying the handle but no such luck.
“You can help me later undress, Maya wrote me to get ready and to head to Jimmy’s, we gonna go together with Jess. I told her to be here in about 10 minutes, so no funny business Mr. Haner” Avery chuckled and I let my head rest against the door frustrated, not one evening in peace just me and my girl.

Just when I was about to go in the shower my phone rang and I quickly picked up seeing Matt’s number, “Where’s Maya, Gates?” He asked sounding out of breath.
Oh shit, that’s what I was supposed to do.
“She is with Jimmy doing some shopping, we will meet them back in his room…” I said and cringed, ups.
“Damn it. I can’t leave that woman alone for 5 minutes… alright, see you there” He hung up and I finally could get my shower and get ready for another night of partying.

When I was ready and satisfied with my hair I walked out of the room and was greeted by two beautiful women waiting for me, that’s the way I liked it.

I held my arms out for them to hook into, giving Jess a kiss to the cheek and then Avery a long and demanding kiss on the mouth.
We headed over to Jimmy’s room and were greeted by a waiting Jason and Johnny.
“Beer! We need beer!” Johnny said and I rolled my eyes.
“Let’s see what Jimmy’s room got” I opened the door with my key and Johnny nearly ran in, finding Jimmy’s stock of alcohol.
“That will do for me..” Johnny grinned and I rolled my eyes, getting me and the girls a nice place on the couch.

Jess and Avery were talking about all different kinds of things and Matt arrived a little later still without a sign of Jimmy and Maya.
When the rest of the band and roadies finally arrived, they at least brought some more drinks with them and the music was started up, some started dancing and I saw Jess eyeing the door just like Matt did.

“How did you two meet anyway?” Jess asked Avery and Avery’s eyes met mine.
“I mean you must have known Avenged before right?” Jess clarified and I chuckled remembering Ave’s and my first meeting and attempt of me seducing her in my home at the party.
“Not really, or not personally” Avery grinned and I grabbed her hand kissing her knuckles with a smile.
“Maya dragged me to this party and we both didn’t know that it was actually and Avenged Sevenfold Party and in Brian’s home. Yes, I have heard their music before but when Brian opened the door I had no idea who he was… and well then everything went from that moment on…” Avery left it open and I chuckled.

“Well, I remember someone being all over someone else and-” I started and Avery narrowed her eyes.
“You hopefully speak of Maya! Because I was not being all over you!” Avery looked fake shocked and Jess laughed “So Maya and Matt hit it off right away?” She asked and Avery shook her head and I had to chuckle loudly.
“No not at all… if someone hit it off right away it was Maya and Jimmy… you remember you barging in on them, that was fucking hilarious, poor Jimmy and his blue balls that night!”

“Wait what?” Jess looked confused back and forth between me and Ave.
“Maya and Jimmy were in the middle of well.. some private activities and our little one here ran in there and pulled Maya out… long story, but couple of days later Jimmy got what he and Maya wanted so that all turned out- ooouch, why are you hitting me?” I looked at Ave from the side, she had elbowed me in the side, hard.

“Maya and Jimmy?” Jess asked quietly and I frowned, yes and? And why was Ave looking at me angry?
“Yeah” I said and frowned, okay I better keep my mouth shut apparently but I had no idea why.
“Will you excuse me?” Jess got up and grabbed a beer out of the hand of Johnny who frowned but didn’t say anything when Jess just walked past him.

“Damn it, Brian!” Ave also followed her with her eyes and I was completely lost “What? What did I do now?”
“Men! You got no idea, do you?” She shook her head and sighed as if she was really frustrated and I looked back to Jess who now slowly approached Matt who was still looking at the door, when Jess said something to him he turned with a smile and I shrugged, couldn’t be bad, could it?
