Brian’s POV

The evening was nice, everything had been more then nice… Matt had made the perfect plan for the night, the girls looked amazing, stunning, breathtaking…
Everything was set and we were enjoying it… or I would be enjoying it if there wasn’t still this video blocking my mind.

I said those three words, those three important words to Avery and she didn’t reply… she didn’t reply and I didn’t know if I should be the one telling it again. I felt like my mind was absent all evening, while I should be enjoying the time with my friends and girlfriend.

Fuck, was Maya right and I was shoving Avery away? I didn’t want to shove her away, she was all I wanted and I wanted to keep her.
I didn’t like the others were making jokes or hints about her leaving again, I wouldn’t let her leave and Matt didn’t have to be concerned about Maya leaving with her.
Because
a) Maya would never leave Matt, look at them, they are all over each other
And
b) because I wouldn’t let Avery go, not now and not ever

I mean I had set my mind on it and everyone who knew me, knew that if I set my mind on something I would get it, keep it and wouldn’t let it slip past my fingers again.

Avery wanted to dance with me and I needed just a moment longer to myself. I had my sister texting me and she was needed my help. McKenna and I were pretty close even though I wasn’t much home, but when she needed my help I was always there, she was my little sister after all, that’s what a good big brother does…

I sighed she knew I wanted to introduce Avery to them the last time I was home, but thanks to Larry and his coming home early, he interrupted that chance… Now, we had to wait for our next break, but I planned to make the official introduction then as soon as possible.

In about a month we will be back home, plan a welcome home party for me and then you will get the full introduction. I promise… Now, let me get back to my double date and you keep on tuning the guitar, B

I finally put my phone away, knowing now everything was solved and I planned on going to find Avery on the dance floor, but then again I was stopped from another woman. She smiled at me and told me she was a big fan. I smiled and gave her an autograph, she laid her hand on my shoulder while someone else took a picture of her and me.

When I was done I moved down to the dance floor, my eyes scanning over the crowd for the familiar brunette head that I wanted to have by my side more than anyone else, but couldn’t find her.
The only pretty brunette I could find was cuddled into Matt’s arms and they were more than dirty dancing there on the floor and I sighed “I know you heard this often today, but can’t you freaking get a room?” I yelled over the loud music making Matt smirk and Maya roll her eyes.

“We would, if we wouldn’t be here with you party pooper.” Maya shot back and I frowned, what? Party pooper? I was in a good mood, wasn’t I? What does she mean?

Maya pulled away from Matt who looked a little annoyed and then laid her arms around my neck to pull me down to her she whispered in my ear “She is out for a smoke, and if you don’t get your ass out there soon and put a smile on my best friends face, I swear I’m gonna kick your ass home to Huntington”

I pulled away and Maya nodded at me with a serious look before she returned to Matt’s open arms and I saw that he wanted to know what she said but she gave him just a small shook of her head before resting said head back on Matt’s chest.
And I had to say I was glad that she was making my best friend happy, but still didn’t share all the details we discussed with him.

Outside, I quickly headed for the door and stumbled a little around before I quietly called her name and then I could finally make out a small form holding a cigarette.

She handed me her cigarette and I took a drag, haven’t even realized how bad I needed one, we were doing a little small talk and I chuckled about Maya and Matt’s cute couple behavior while I could see that Avery’s mood quickly went down the drain, but why?!

Why would she not enjoy this evening, and why was she looking so sad all of a sudden. Didn’t she have it all?
I mean I told her I loved her, she had seen it on the video, she was here with her friends, her best friend, her boyfriend.
Her boyfriend, who wasn’t used to admitting such feeling and he did it, for her… because damn she was special and she had the nerve to be unhappy?

Avery stunned me with her words and it got even worse “But you’re not!” I stopped the cigarette near my mouth when she began to talk again “Look Brian…if you want me to leave…just tell me…”

My eyes widened and I wasn’t sure if I heard her correctly, because I couldn’t, it didn’t make any sense?!
“You think I want what?” I asked while throwing the cigarette away, not knowing what to actually do with it right now.

She sighed and her eyes went down to the concrete “If you don’t want me around you, you tell me and I leave. I don’t want to be anywhere I am not wanted, you know. I promise I won’t demand that Maya has to come with me, if you are afraid for Matt and her.” She continued to talk but my mind went just blank, how could she say something like that, when I had fucking told her I loved her, how could she think I didn’t want her with me?

What had gone so terrible wrong since she came back that she reacted that way?!
“Brian? Can you please just say something?” Avery nearly sobbed and that felt like someone was stabbing my heart and twisting the knife.

“Ave, how in the hell would you think that I want you to leave? Who planted seeds like that in your head?” I took a step towards her, grabbed her shoulders and shook her gently, so she would finally look up and her blue blazing eyes met mine.
“You” She whispered and I nearly swallowed my tongue “I? I gave you these thoughts? What? Why?”

“The whole evening Brian… no, the whole day actually. You didn’t even talk to me more than three sentences… Why?” Avery asked and I saw a tear spilling over, running down her cheek and I put my hand up to catch that tear with my thumb looking at it stunned.
I made her cry, when I all I wanted to do was making her happy and keep her with me, but that didn’t work out.

“Ave.. don’t cry. You slay me with your tears, please.” I whispered and Avery’s eyes were still on mine, begging me and I had to make it right.
“I didn’t mean to do that, Ave. Of course I want you with me, I need you with me. I was just confused of the evening we don’t know much about, maybe that was it… Then Mac was writing me messages and I was distracted, I shouldn’t have been… I should have been with my head and thoughts with you. I’m sorry, I will make it up to you, okay?” I asked and let my thumb trace over Avery’s bottom lip.

I didn’t know how I could make it up to her, but I couldn’t let our date end like this. She meant so much to me and even though she hadn’t said those words back to me, I could see that she felt deeply for me or she wouldn’t have been so hurt from my actions today.

Maybe I should just block out the thought concerning that video for the rest of the night, I mean… what was most important was that Avery was with me, and that she wanted to stay with me, everything else we would fix, right?

I just had to believe that… I leaned further down, Avery was licking her lips as soon as she saw me closing in and I had a hint of a smile ghosting on my lips, she made me happy like no one else and I couldn’t believe I had denied myself a taste of her all evening, how stupid I had been.

I captured her lips with mine and smiled into our kiss “You taste so good, Ave. I think I will never get enough of you” I whispered while pulling away and Avery smiled up to me.
She wasn’t completely convinced I could see, but I would try again, I had to… I couldn’t stand the thought of her wanting to leave again.

“AVE?! GATES?” Maya’s voice sounded from the door and I groaned, perfect timing.
“AVE!!” Matt’s loud voice now “GATES! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE! DOUBLE DATE MEANS TWO COUPLES NOT JUST ONE!” He yelled and I heard Maya giggling and then the door slammed shut again and I rolled my eyes, looking down on Avery.
“What do you say, love? Should we show them how cute couples really looks like?” I asked her with a smirk and finally a full smile crossed over Avery’s features.
“Who could be cuter then us, anyway?” She chuckled and I nodded, pulling her closer to my side “That’s my girl” I nodded and placed another kiss on her lips.

About two hours later we all received a conference call from the hotel, shit I hoped it wasn’t an emergency, we were having so much fun right now, that I didn’t want it to end any other way than it was right now.

I looked at Matt and he shrugged picking his phone up, just as Maya, Ave and I did.
“Hello?” I asked and heard Jimmy’s loud voice screaming, “YOU NEED TO COME BACK RIGHT NOW!”
“Jimbo, what the fuck?” Matt asked and I sighed, we all were in the call with Jimmy screaming and I couldn’t even make out everything he was yelling.

“You need to come back right now! I did it, finally I did it” Jimmy continued and I heard Maya chuckle and Ave seemed to look as confused as Matt and I.
“But we are here in the middle of something, you know.” I tried to get us out of this and Jimmy began to chuckle hysterically.
“You are fucking the little gnome on the dancefloor, Haner?!”
“JIMMY!” Ave screeched into the phone and Jimmy laughed loudly “And she is yelling my name, damn I’m good”

I rolled my eyes again and heard Maya and Matt burst out laughing, “We will be back in 20” with that Maya hung up so did the rest of us.
“Babe, the double date is ending already?” Matt asked her and looked at her with those puppy hazel eyes.
“Its just going to the next destination not ending, big guy. You owe me, you remember that, right?” Maya said and winked at him and I saw the lust burning in Matt’s eyes and when I looked at Avery I knew exactly the same feeling.

We were back in to hotel lobby and I debated with myself if I should skip for whatever reason Jimmy had commanded us back here and take Avery to my bed and show her just how much I needed her with me.

“Love, should we just leave the rest to whatever Jimmy had planned and we make plans of our own?” I asked Avery but apparently I was too loud cause Maya stood suddenly beside me pulling on my ear, and dragging me a feet away from Avery, making her laugh at me.

“I guess that’s a no, huh?” I asked and rubbed my hurting ear.
“Since when are you two so close anyway?” Avery asked looking from me to Maya and back, while Matt moved up to Avery, laying his huge arm around her slim shoulders in a friendly gesture and also stared at me and Maya “That’s what I wanna know, too” He said lifting his eyebrow mimicking exactly Avery posture and I had to laugh at the sight those two gave.

“We have found a common ground, if you have to know..” I said and pulled Maya into my side, just as Matt had done with Avery.
“Oh and that would be?” Avery asked a smile playing on her lips and I had to grin “Missing you, love” I said softly and Avery swallowed, then looked between Maya and me and Matt pulled her even firmer to his side.

“Come on, let’s go up, before Jimmy comes running down and crashing the whole hotel” I nodded, knowing I had thrown Avery off guard just now.

We headed to the door where the most commotion was coming from, suddenly the music was blaring and I knew we would get in trouble for that.
“You talk to him about the volume!” I quickly pointed at Matt who sighed “I knew you would say that.”

Matt knocked loudly on the door and Zack opened up but then the door was being pushed shut and we could hear Jimmy “You can’t just let everyone in! ARE YOU INSANE?!”
“But that was Matt” Zack said annoyed and Jimmy began to curse and then the door opened but just a slit “What’s the password?” Jimmy asked and I shook my head, this guy couldn’t act any other way, and we just had to love him for that.

Maya pushed past me and Matt and moved into the door saying something I couldn’t make out and then the door opened and she could slip inside, and I frowned “What password? You didn’t tell us anything, you asshole” I yelled and Jimmy closed the door.

“Great” Matt muttered “What now? We are shut out from our own party, while my girl is inside?”
Avery walked forward knocked and said something again then the door opened wide and I wanted to pull my hair out in frustration, really Jimmy? Really?

“Those two belong to me.” Avery said and Jimmy opened the door “Okay, little gnome. Then I let them in” I punched Jimmy’s shoulder when I walked past him “Not funny, you fucker”
“I thought it was, especially Matt’s face when Maya was in.” Jimmy laughed loudly and I had to join in, I mean how could you not?!

“So what’s the reason we had to come back from our date?” I asked Jimmy, while I intertwined Avery and my fingers again, pulling her closer.
“I found the drink! I mean it THE DRINK!” Jimmy announced handing a glass to everyone of us and I looked at the weird looking liquid inside.

“What is that?” Avery asked and Jimmy just chuckled “That’s a task for you to find out and you will love it. I studied everything little gnome, I made the perfect drink… You will see, just drink it. And then we are all having fun and it will be the ultimate party. And later on I will call to my mission, maybe not now, maybe not later… maybe even not tonight, but it will happen, little Gnome, it will happen.” With that Jimmy left us to our drinks and I nipped on it and had to admit, it tasted better than it looked.

“Try, it’s… good.” I told Avery and she did the same, nipping on her drink and she moaned quietly “Oh god, yes. It’s really good.” Avery said and I nodded “Don’t make sounds like that, or I will not even let you finish that drink before I head with you right back to our room, because.. those sounds I haven’t heard in too long…” I growled at her and she smiled “We just came, let’s have some fun” Avery pecked my lips and then disappeared from me and I could only watch her ass swaying as she walked away from me.

I drank more from my glass and had to realize a buzz was hitting me real quick, we have been drinking a lot in the club and during dinner and that drink from Jimmy was making me even dizzier…

I sat down on the couch and stayed there for a while a lot of thoughts running around in my head and I finally looked round the huge suite we were in, I haven’t even realized before.
Damn, when had Jimmy rented this room?
I saw Dan and Matt doing shots while Jason’s brother Matt was dancing with Maya, she wouldn’t get tired of dancing would she?

Avery was talking to Jason and they were sitting across the room and I was about to get up and get between it. I knew I shouldn’t be worried, but I still didn’t like to see them together… since I knew they had also shared intimacy and that thought alone was disturbing to me.

“Yo Brian” Zack sat down beside me, clapping my back. “What’s going on with you and Avery?” What was he talking about?
“Nothing, why?” I asked and frowned, how did he know something was going on?
“She looks a little disturbed… what happened? Wasn’t the date good? Did Maya and Matt ruin it? Or did you do that on your own?” Zack chuckled drinking from his glass and I shucked down the last sip from my glass and damn, this drink was awesome.

“Honestly?” I asked knowing I could talk to Zack about everything, if I really wanted, and I had to admit this weird drink from Jimmy, made my tongue loose.
“Yup. Don’t bullshit me, I saw you the whole day, I saw Ave. And I have a feeling for Avery’s moods, and don’t worry I mean as a friend.” Zack added and I nodded closing my mouth again.

“That video… that threw me off...” I admitted and Zack frowned.
“Why?” Zack asked as if it was normal and nothing special was on it.
“Why? What do you mean why? I said the big words and she… she just didn’t-” I couldn’t find the right words but Zack’s eyes grew wide and he began laughing loudly and I frowned.

“You think that you said those words and she didn’t? Is that the problem?” Zack asked and still had a smile on his face and I wanted to wipe it off him right now, what was so funny about this?
“I mean… I made a big step right there and she… I don’t know where I stand and I feel like-” Shit, I had no idea…

“Oh fuck, Brian… You don’t remember? You really don’t remember? I think everyone remembers beside the two of you! Oh god, Brian! You two are the worst, what you can’t see on the video is that Avery fell into your arms and was saying those words back. She told you she loved you, she missed you, loved you even more… blah blah… and you two wouldn’t stop. Wherever we found you two, you were hanging over each other murmuring how much you love each other, it was disgusting! Can you now wipe that sad look off of your girlfriend and tell her those words again, so she can reply and that bullshit can start over again?” Zack finished and my eyes immediately shot to Avery, she said the words back?
We both said them? I just didn’t know… But she did love me?!

I got up from my place and crossed the room to grab Avery in my arms and crash my lips down on hers, she loved me!
Now the party could really start and we would be part of it!
So many emotions were swirling around in me and had to get out, this might be the best evening of all times!
