Brian’s POV

“Come the fuck on… Let’s check out the venue, we still have enough time.” You should think Jimmy needed all of his energy for playing his drums during a show, but that wasn’t the case, he was jumping up and down beside me, trying to drag me along with him.

I shoved him away “Fuck off.. Let’s just chill for a little while, we can check out the surrounding after the show…”
“God, when did you become such a lazy ass… get up… come on Gates, get up.” Jimmy kept pulling on my arm until I got up from my chair.

“Fucking finally. Who else is coming?” Jimmy looked around, Johnny was sleeping in his bunk and Zack stood up from the bench with a chuckle.

“I wanna see the next victim.” Zack grinned and I rolled my eyes.
“She is not a victim, she will feel like a chosen one.” I replied smirking.
“Chosen one of what… a million that were chosen before her?” Matt got out of the bathroom smoothing his hair back.
“You guys are fucked up.. I will show you how it’s done.” I said confidently.

“You gonna show us how it’s done? I wanna see that, cause on the last party I only remember how you lost the girl you were trying to seal the deal with, and you let her cockblock your best friend in the same progress, asshole.” Jimmy narrowed his eyes on me and I knew I wouldn’t hear the end of this.
They thought this story was hilarious, well everyone but Jimmy and me, and as if that wasn’t hard enough on its own I couldn’t get that girl out of my head.

And that was something new, because normally I would fuck her and forget her, but since I didn’t get that far with her, I still had the memory of her sweet taste in my mind, and damn I wanted to taste it all, but I wouldn’t get that chance and that was bothering me.
I loved challenges and that was a challenge I could have won, if she shouldn’t have tricked me and gone without telling me… fucking hell!

“I remember the stupid look on Brian’s face… never seen anything more funny. I would wish to meet them again, so she could call Brian off again, that would be the death of me, I’m telling you.” Zack laughed loudly and I really wanted to punch him in the face for that.

“Can you fucking quit that, I can’t stand to hear this anymore… that was yesterdays news… it’s a new day and a new challenge waiting for me… well or no challenge at all because they will fall to my feet.”I said grinning and then look over at the sleeping Johnny, finding a way to direct the conversation to another topic before this would go on and on…

“If we go, we go all together, someone should wake the short shit up.” I pointed towards his bunk and Matt threw the curtain away and just pulled on Johnny’s arm, making him fall right out of the bunk down on the floor with a loud ‘thud’.

“FUCK! What the hell is wrong with you guys?” Johnny yelled rubbing his head and looking at the loud laughing Matt.
“You should know better than to fall asleep on us. We are heading out, and you are coming along.” Matt grabbed his arm and pulled him with one swift move up as if Johnny weights nothing.

“I bet Larry hired a fat chick… so Syn won’t put his moves on her.” Johnny snickered while jumping from the bus.
“When he is drunk or high, he won’t care.” Matt laughed and clapped my back when I shove him away.
“As if I was the only one fucking the employees?! How about last year? Jimmy?” I lifted my eyebrows at him and Jimmy seemed to think about that for a second.

“Oh that, well yeah… but I wouldn’t get caught and she wasn’t a crazy ass bitch.” Jimmy shrugged.
“That was Zack’s fault not mine. I never talked about the happy ever after, he manipulated the chick, not me…” I justified myself making the guys laugh loudly, there you make one mistake, okay fine not one… but hell they should shut up.

We walked down the venue meeting a couple of bands we have seen before and planned on spending our after show party with.

“Where the fuck is our stand now?” Matt looked around confused “I thought we wouldn’t be far?”
“Maybe they haven’t started building it up yet?” Johnny shrugged, when I saw our logo, the famous deathbat at the end of the line.

“There it is, all the way in the back.” I pointed towards it and rubbed my hands together, fuck yeah let the show begin.

“Are you ready Gates? Maybe I wanna join in checking out our new employee?” Zack elbowed me in the side, “Fuck off.”
“Guys, you do remember that Larry said no fucking around with the employees, right?” Matt chuckled already knowing that there was no way that we would back off if the girl was hot.

I saw brown hair and before I could make out anything else she vanished behind the curtain, what the heck?
Already trying to hide? Oh this will be fun!

Jason came walking towards us a grin on his face, so he did check the girls out already.
“Hey guys… so everything is set up and ready, what are you doing here?” He clapped my back before Jimmy came running and jumped onto his back making Jason stumble sideways before regaining his stance.
“God, Jimmy…Get off me.”Jason groaned and shook him off.
“Better question what are you doing here, shouldn’t you be setting up my drums or something?” Jimmy asked with a laugh.

“We helped the new girls setting up the stand…” Jason grinned again and I only heard GIRLS?!
“Did you say girls?” Matt asked the question I was waiting to ask as well.
“Yes, I think I did, if they are two, I think the S is necessary, right?”Jason chuckled and I put a smirk on my face.

“So we are here to introduce us properly to our new employees, where are they?” I looked around and suddenly behind the curtain the two girls stepped forward, one dragging the other behind her.

“No need to introduce you. We already know who you are.” Tattoo girl said, what was her name… fuck, I’m bad with that…
“Maya?” Jimmy had a face wide grin on his face. “Fuck me, I knew I would see you again.”

“Wait what?” Matt looked confused and I stepped forward seeing the annoyed face of my challenge standing right before me.

“Avery… I should have known, that I would see you again, what is this saying ‘you always meet twice’, huh?!” I smirked putting my game face on. “So, what are you doing here?” I asked her and she lifted an eyebrow, “Seems like working to me, what do you think?”

I bit my bottom lip, and crouched my eyebrows down in confousion, she sounded cold and annoyed… but why?
I should be mad, she left me hanging on the party.

“Why did you leave?” I stepped forward again and she stepped back.
“None of your business… How about you answer me what you meant with running a small business?!” She tried to look around me but I leaned down to her, making her look in my eyes.

“I think we sure have some things to talk about, don’t you think so, too?” I heard her sharp intake of breathe and smiled at that, my eyes moving down to her chest, seeing her cleavage which was making my mouth water.

“Yo, Gates… can I talk to you for a second?” Jason voice sounded behind me and I waved him away.
“Not now.”

Maya’s POV

I couldn’t hide the grin on my face when I saw Jimmy, and the fact that he did remember me and my name.
“I tell you, babe… We still have some business to finish.” Jimmy stepped forward right into my personal space, his chest nearly brushing against mine, but I didn’t back down.
I lifted my head to look at him and wanted to make sure if he was still the same guy I had made out with on the party.

I licked my lips and he mimicked my motion “I hoped to see you again and now you are working for me.”
“For you?” I heard someone snort beside us and I turned my head seeing, the muscled guy standing there, the one I bumped into, oh he was the one with the drop dead gorgeous dimples, wasn’t he?

“Us” Jimmy corrected but never looking away from me, while my eyes lingered a moment longer on the other guy, his eyes met mine and he narrowed them on me, making me frown a little, what was his problem?

“You didn’t ask for my number” I taunted Jimmy who rolled his eyes “As you might remember, I didn’t have my phone anywhere near me when I was nearly inside you.” Jimmy said making me blush a little at the memory.

“Jimmy? Yo?! Jimmy!” Muscled guy interrupted us again “What is it Matt?” Jimmy turned his head for a second then looked back at me as if he was afraid I would leave again at any moment.
“Employee” Matt said with a serious voice.
“I don’t fucking care, you should know that. Concentrate on Gates, if you want to bother someone.” Jimmy grabbed my hand and was about to drag me behind him when I heard a loud voice, making us stop in our tracks.

“So you guys already met our new temporary merch girls for the next weeks?” Larry, Avery’s father stood next to the booth, making Jason chuckle beside him while Avery took a big step away from Brian who narrowed his eyes confused at her and even though I didn’t really gave a damn, I tried to loosen the grip Jimmy had on my wrist, so we wouldn’t make Larry suspicious right away.

“We just wanted to introduce ourselves” Zacky the green eyed one repeated what Brian had said earlier.
“That’s very nice from you guys, but I have some things to tell you and I want you to listen closely. Girls, come on over.” I winked at Jimmy before walking away from him making him frown, while Avery made a huge circle around Brian walking to Larry’s other side.
Larry laid his arm around our shoulders, pressing us into his sides with a huge smile was on his face.

“So listen up, normally I had a guy doing this job, but he quit on us the last second. So now these two beautiful ladies take over the job. This is Maya and Avery, I don’t know if any of you guys remember, but Avery is my daughter-” I saw Brian’s mouth open and close and had to suppress a chuckle, I guess he hadn’t seen that one coming and his mouth formed a big O.

“And Maya is her best friend and I would just call her my adopted daughter as well.” Larry looked down on Avery with a proud smile on his lips and then looked over to me with a wink and I had to hide the chuckle, I knew exactly why he was pointing that out.

I looked at the faces of the guys one by one and saw that their mouths were hanging open, there might have been a curse that I could hear together with the only hardly suppressed chuckle coming from Jason who we met before and who helped us setting everything up.

“As I told you before already, I think I normally shouldn’t be necessary but I will do it anyway and tell you that these two ladies are off limits and with off limits I really mean off limits!” He looked at the guys and had a stern look on his face.
“We all know what happened with Jackie, and I won’t except something like that again. Not with anyone but especially not with my girls.” He sounded so angry that I just hoped the guys wouldn’t take it too serious, I mean I was here for fun in the end but Larry wasn’t done yet.

“I say that not just because they are employees, guys. They are my daughter and her best friend, I am responsible for them and I don’t want any of you to think of them as something else, you heard me?” Larry asked around and I saw Johnny and Zack nod their heads while Brian, Matt and Jimmy were more or less standing there motionless.

“They will help out during this tour for about 2 weeks, I will try to find a new merch employee as soon as I can, but the season started already and it seemed to be more difficult than I thought.” Larry heaved a sigh in frustration and I looked up at him.

“Don’t worry Mr. Jacobsen, we will take perfectly good care of the booth here and we are big girls, we can protect ourselves, and I think the guys are perfectly fine gentleman and will have an eye on us if there are any problems.” I said smirking, meeting Jimmy’s eyes who stepped forward.

“Absolutely, I was just about to show Maya where we store the rest of the t-shirts, if she needs to restock or something.” Jimmy grinned but Larry shook his head, while Matt grabbed one of his belt loops stopping him and earning him an angry look from Jimmy.

“I think Jason can take of that, you guys need to be at the stage in a couple of minutes.” Larry turned towards me and Avery, looking into my eyes then turning towards Avery.

“I want you two to be careful, this is a place full of men, and mostly drunken men.I don’t want anything to happen to you girls. I know you will take care of each other, but please be aware that this can get dangerous at times. I will try to have an eye on the guys so they won’t act out or anything, but I can’t always be around, so I want you to be careful and promise me you won’t do anything stupid.” Larry said and I tried to put on a serious face and nodded.

“Of course we will take care of each other, right Ave?” I elbowed her side and she looked ill, I knew she hated to lie at her daddy, but this wasn’t really a lie. I mean I didn’t hear him say we shouldn’t fuck with his band? He just said to be careful and not do anything stupid, I wouldn’t call having amazing sex something stupid, if you ask me.

“We will be careful, daddy. Don’t worry.” I saw Avery look to the side and swallow thickly, when Brian met her eyes and I knew little Ave just needed a few more pushes into the right direction and she would loosen up a little bit, maybe brown eyes could help her with that.
