Maya’s POV

Larry, Brian, Avery and I followed behind the Asking guys. We weren’t even really introduced so I had no ideas what their names were, but I guessed that I would soon find out.
I was thinking that I might have seen them before but, that was rather vague.

My heart was still pounding heavily from nearly being caught by Larry. Shit, Matt and I were back to our old ways, or at least mostly and then Larry sneaked up behind us nearly seeing Matt undress me.
I was glad I heard him approach and could stop Matt in the last second, but I still don’t think he really believed our little lie.
He was eyeing me and Avery now and I better tell Ave about our little slip, so they were better prepared than we were.

Matt just had this magic on him, which let me forget all my hesitation and that kiss outside, it made my heart swell, whatever that meant…
I had wanted him, there and I still wanted him now. I turned around and saw him staying behind talking to the guy with the longish her and piercings on his lip.
He was kinda cute though and they indeed had this British accent and it was really heavy… I had to grin at some words, they just sounded so different.

“Why the hell is your booth so far away from ours?” Brian complained and Larry gave him a narrowed look.
“Why would you complain about that, Brian?” He asked and Brian shrugged “Because I hate long walks… like right now?” Brian said matter of fact and he indeed was a good liar.
“You didn’t have to come along, did you?” Larry asked and I could see a small smile forming on his lips, what was this about?
Did Larry really know something? Suspect something? Waiting for something? Damn, he was hard to read that was for sure.

“So, I didn’t catch you name earlier… what was it again?” The tall guy without a shirt asked. I looked at his tattoos, I would bet he was the drummer, Jimmy said it was a drummer thing not wearing a shirt most of the times.
“Maya, and yours was-?” I asked and he smirked at me “James, I play the drums.”
When he said drums it sounded more like drooms to me and I couldn’t hide that laugh escaping me.
“What’s so funny?” He held his head to the side looking amused when suddenly an arm was landing across my shoulder and James, and the guy with the piercings was leaning in between us.

“So, Maya… you got to know James, our drummer… I’m Ben and that fucker in the front is our singer / screamer Danny. Better don’t take anything serious any of us says… or maybe you should. Depends…” Ben grinned and I frowned a little, alright, whatever?!
“Later on we will introduce you to the rest. Sam and Cameron but they are not as important as I am… I mean we are..” He chuckled earning a hit to the head by James.

I gently pushed his arm from my shoulder and he chuckled even more “Anyway, we are lucky that you will take over our booth for those two days, we will make it up to you on the after party, I promise. Danny can get you everything you want. Just tell him, or me… better tell me.” He continued on and I felt another presence walking next to me and looked to my left, seeing Matt there looking a little frustrated, if I had to put a name to it.

“So here we are.” Ben announced and he guided us behind the booth. “If you got any problem, that’s Kyle our go-to guy. He will help you out or inform one of us to help you. No matter what the problem, he will do whatever he can to support you.” He motioned to a guy by the side having a phone on his ear.
“So the rest is all the same I guess…The stuff gotta be restocked, try to coax more people to buy… but I mean.. no offense Larry, but I bet our sales will go off the roof with you two standing behind our merch, that’s for sure.” He grinned and Larry nodded.
“Yeah, we had that effect, too. So you are probably right.” Larry smiled and pulled me and Ave into his sides, while Matt and Brian stood a little off to the side not really knowing what they should be doing, as it seemed.

“Good, so you guys got everything under control. I have a phone conference in a bit, why don’t you just let the guys show you the rest… but I bet you will manage everything perfectly anyway.” Larry said and I nodded.

“No problem. We know how this rolls.” I grinned and Larry nodded “Perfect, see you later.” He hugged me close again and Ave gave him a kiss to the cheek before he turned around to leave, when he took a step forward, he turned back around seeing Brian and Matt still standing beside the booth and Larry lifted an eyebrow.

“You coming with me, guys?” Larry asked and both Matt and Brian snapped out of it.
“I thought we could-” Brian started but Matt shoved him forward “We see you guys later…” Matt nodded and his eyes met mine a final time, he didn’t wanna leave, but it wouldn’t make sense for him to stay.

Not when Larry nearly caught us in the middle of something, we couldn’t let anything make him even more suspicious then he already was.

Avery and I waved our goodbye when they turned their backs on us and I sighed heavily.
“So, you got any questions or should we leave you to it for now?” James asked and I looked to Avery, she looked a little uncertain.
“I think we got everything for now, thank you.” I said so Avery and I would maybe have some time alone, before the real action starts.

“Good, then we will just lean back and watch you, so we know if you got any problems we can help out.” Danny said and made himself comfortable in the back, he slurred a little and from his red eyes we could tell he was overdrinking a nice hangover that was sure.

His eyes were constantly on Avery and I bet she noted that as well, it was pretty obvious… “You don’t have to stay here. I mean… we have been managing the Avenged booth for some weeks now.” I said, I would guess these guys had something better to do anyway.

“I’m feeling pretty good here actually.” James plopped down next to Danny and Ben smirked. “I agree.”
“We don’t always have lovely women working for us, let’s enjoy the show… I mean control the work for a bit.” Ben said and played with his piercings.

“Oh I got a great idea, James… go call Sammy and let him bring some booze.” Danny elbowed James whose eyes were nearly closed.

I turned around and the guys have their talk while I walked over to Avery “You okay?” I asked her while folding up shirts.

“Yeah.. I’m okay. I just… oh I hate lying to Dad. I feel like he can see right through me.” Avery said and I nodded “No wonder, you lie so bad… but I gotta tell you something-” I began but then the first customers arrived and I saw the Band member trying to hide and being unseen from the fans, or it would soon make the round, that the guys were actually here.

Some time later when Ave and I didn’t get a chance to talk anymore sadly, I walked to the back getting more shirts, because the sale was running damn good. “Off Limits, huh?” I heard a whisper in my ear and quickly turned around “What the hell?!” I stood directly in front of Ben, only an inch separating us.
“God damn, you scared me.” I took a small step back and set the shirts back on the box looking up at him.

“You heard Larry, didn’t you?” I lifted my eyebrow at him and he chuckled. “I heard him, yes… And I know that something else is going on as well.” Ben had a smirk on his face when he leaned even further forward. I was frozen in place not knowing what he planned, did he want to kiss me?

Shit, I had to quickly think of a plan, but before I knew it he just grabbed the shirts I set on the box and went away chuckling.
Okay, that was.. awkward… I bet these guys really loved to play around and fool someone.

“I’ll get that for your, wait a second.” James voice sounded from across the small space and I saw Avery trying to grab some hoodies from the highest shelf and James moved in behind her, grabbing it for her and setting it down.

Avery’s cheeks were a bright red and she quickly took a step away from the half-naked James which made me chuckle. Oh yes, this would be one funny afternoon that was sure.

“BEN! JAMES! THE BOOZE ARRIVED!” Danny’s scream shook the whole stand and I saw Avery quickly spinning around, while James gave her a wink and moved to Danny.
I stepped up to Avery and held her wrist to stop her “I guess we should tell them, that we are not only off limits, but taken.. what do you say?” I asked her whispering.

“You don’t mean to tell them the taken… in the meaning you like to tell the other someone’s getting on our nerves, right?” Avery looked a little critical and I laughed loudly.
“No, I actually meant telling them about Matt and Brian.. not that we two are a couple, I bet that would make them try even harder.”
“Girls! Work is waiting!” Another loud scream from Danny made Avery jump a little and then I heard his chuckling “This is so awesome”

I rolled my eyes and saw a new arriver in the booth, he had a baseball cap on and was the smallest of the group, reminding me a little of Johnny.
“This is Sam, our Bass player.” Ben laid his hand on my lower back guiding me forward and I lifted my eyebrow at him until he chuckling took his hand away.

“Maya and Avery our lovely assistance for the day” James grinned and Danny shoved him out of the way.
“Come on, ladies. I know you have been working for a good hour now, and we hung out, getting warmed up and we know we like us and shit, but now we should do the deed of brotherhood drinking, right?” Danny laid his arms around me and Avery and pulled us to his sides.

“What… exactly… do you mean by that?” Avery asked and I looked between the guys.
“We all drink a shot and… give a kiss, you know how this works… Brotherhood drinking? You don’t know that?!” Sam asked and had a friendly smile on his face, while his eyes wandered up and down Avery’s body.

“Well, okay, listen, the shot we can do… but the rest of your plan, which contains the kiss, would be a little too much for my taste.” I announced and Avery nodded in agreement “For me as well”

“Oh, its nothing bad. Come on, it’s not like we wanna get down and dirty right away, we just wanna touch glasses to a successful show and merch sale, with it…” Danny pulled us even further into his sides and his hand wandered dangerously low to my ass.

I wiggled out of his grip and bumped right into Ben again “You gotta be everywhere, huh?” I muttered making him smirk again.
“Of course, but we have to leave soon, our shows starting in a bit. Now, let’s have a shot together.” He announced again while James and Sam poured the shot glasses he brought along, or found somewhere I had no idea.

They handed us the drink and when they lifted them up, I elbowed Ave and we both quickly downed it before anything else could happen “To a good show!” I grinned making the guys look a little surprised and then chuckle “I like girls who know how to handle their liquor.” Danny smirked and I rolled my eyes “You like all girls, I bet.” Making him laugh even louder “Touché”

“Guys, we gotta tell you something.” I looked over to Ave and she nodded “We really appreciate for you guys to welcome us so openly to your Bands Family… and I know you already heard we are belonging to the Avenged booth normally, but we also belong to certain Band members.” I finished and heard James sigh loudly while both Ben and Danny chuckled.

“Well well, as if that wasn’t already clear, love.” Danny laughed “Gates and Shadz, that’s for sure.”
I saw the band members looking at each other with a grin on their faces, as if they were having a private conversation.

I shrugged, was it really that obvious with me and Matt and Brian and Ave?
Then maybe it was even more obvious for Larry as well?
I really had to talk to Matt about this, and Ave as well… we had to be even more careful.

Brian’s POV

Larry’s stupid phone conference was not after he left with us at the Asking booth, no it was about an hour later.
He was spending the remaining time with us on our bus, talking about schedules, wanting to know what we planned after the next two shows… which I just reminded me that afterwards we could be going home.
We had a long weekend off and I needed to think of how to spend that time with Avery.

I mean it was damn sure that I would be spending that time with her. I just had to plan what we were doing and how we could execute it without her father knowing of course.

“So, come on guys. Interview time!” Larry stuck his head inside our bus, so his phone conference must be over already and what interview now?

“Coming” Jimmy got up from the couch and Zack groaned “Don’t you wanna go Gates? They always want you in the interviews anyway.”
“Fuck off, no.” I shook my head and Larry looked at me curiously, “Why not? He is right, if you wanna join us, go ahead.” He motioned outside and I held my head in my hands, showing him how hung-over I still was.

“I better stay in for a bit, so I am ready for the party tonight.” I said and Matt nodded, who just approached us from the back room, he looked a little aggravated and I knew why.

“Okay, fine. I’m gonna take these two with me then.” Larry announced and I nodded “I know you don’t get the best, but hey.. they will do.” I said smirking which earned me a flying beer can from Jimmy, which I could just in time move out of the way from.

When they finally left, I took my phone out to see if I got any messages from Avery, but nothing.
“Should we have a look?” I looked up to Matt and he nodded. “Thought you would never ask.”

I put a beanie over my head and sunglasses on, trying to look as normal as I could. “Damn the booth for being so far away from ours.” Matt muttered under his breath and when we were near I could just see four of the guys standing around our girls.

They all had a shot glass in hand, lifting it up. “Do you see that? Are they trying to make them drunk?”
“Well… they were already drunk as it seemed to me earlier…” Matt said his eyes narrowed on the scene.

“Should we go over there? Get between it? I mean normally these guys aren’t too bad… I mean, you remember the last festivals we have been on together… it was fucking hilarious…” I said but I wasn’t too sure if I should trust them with my girlfriend.

“We can’t just walk up there and tell them… I mean, what if they slip something about that to Larry, we are fucked!” Matt said and I sighed.
“Should we just walk by… I mean.. their show should be starting soon, shouldn’t it?” I tried to remember the exact time but couldn’t.
“They are leaving…” Matt motioned to the booth and I saw Avery and Maya laugh at something the guys said before they headed off.

When we knew they were far enough away, nothing was holding me back to check on Avery.
I sneaked my arms around her and Ave sighed “Didn’t you just hear what- ohoo Brian… babe.” She looked confused as if she didn’t expect me to hug her, what was this about?

“Hey babe.” Matt grabbed Maya’s waist and she slung her arms around him. “Hey..what are you two doing here?”
“Larry is having an interview together with Jimmy and Zack, so we sneaked off to see you.” I said and held Ave close to me, letting my lips wander down her throat to her shoulder.
“Brian… what if-” She more moaned then said and I chuckled. “He is not here, now let me have some fun, please.”

“Guys, we gotta tell you something.” Maya turned in Matt’s arms and he frowned down on her.
“What is it?” I asked stopping the trail of kisses and looked up to her.
“Larry nearly caught me and Matt in a… well inappropriate situation.” Maya said and Matt sighed.
“Yeah, I meant to tell you… but forgot.” Matt looked at me and I frowned. “What do you mean?”

“We went away earlier right? And well… I couldn’t keep my hands to myself, when suddenly Larry came out of the door. I mean I quickly stepped away, and he didn’t actually see us, but-” Matt shrugged.
“-maybe he guessed something, because I don’t think he really bought our lie.” Maya completed and I closed my eyes, running a hand over my face.

“Fuck.. I hate this. So we gotta be even more careful today?” I asked and saw everyone nodded.
“Does anyone know if Larry stays for the party tonight?” I asked again, because that would be the ultimate nightmare.

“I don’t know. He hasn’t said anything to us, yet.” Avery shrugged and I nodded. “Damn it, I don’t wanna be separated from you all evening.” I groaned out and pulled her even firmer to me.

My phone began to rang and I saw Jimmy calling “Fuck, it’s Jimbo” I picked up and heard some rustling.
“That was a quick interview wasn’t it?” Larry said and I swallowed.
“Yeah.. and we are already back on our way to the bus… sooo quick, right?” Jimmy’s voice sounded but all distant.
“Yeah, we all know that, Jimmy.” Larry laughed and I hung up. “Shit, Shadz. We need to leave, they are already on their way back.” I quickly kissed Avery another time and pulled myself away, before it was too late.

Both Matt and I jogged back to the bus when we ran directly into the three “I thought you wanted to stay in so you are good for the party, tonight?” Larry asked his eyes going back and forth between me and Matt.
“I could convince him to go do a little sport with me.” Matt quickly said making Larry lift his eyebrows.
“With Beanie and Sunglasses?” He asked and I nodded “Yeah, I didn’t wanna be noticed everywhere… I mean, look at my bloodshot eyes, that doesn’t look good on fan pictures.” I motioned to my sunglasses and Larry chuckled “You guys are the worst.”

I let out a long sigh when Larry walked off with Jimmy and Matt and I stayed behind with Zack.
“You went to see the girls?” He asked chuckling.
“Yeah we gotta check on those British punks.” I replied and Zack shook his head.
“Another question you already got an idea what you will do when we got our couple of days off? You have to plan something nice.” Zack asked and I frowned.

“Well, I was just thinking about it earlier… I don’t have an idea yet…” I shrugged wondering why he was concerned about that.
“I just mean, it should be something really good, cause she is your first girlfriend in a looong ass time.” Zack said and I narrowed my eyes “Maybe you are out of training in buying girls a gift.” He continued and now I got really confused, why should I buy her a gift?

“What the fuck are you talking about, man?” I asked finally and Zack looked at me amused “You don’t know that Ave’s 23. Birthday is coming up soon?” He asked and I frowned “Damn, no… She hasn’t told me… and why do you know that?” Fuck… now, I really had to think about something good!
