Maya’s POV

I went with Ave out the lobby and back up to our room. We quickly grabbed our bags including our phones and keycards and left the hotel to go into the city.

I didn’t really feel like shopping or sightseeing, but then again I knew that if we stayed Larry would play the Hawk Eye and wouldn’t let us out of his sight.
Which wouldn’t help Matt and me with our current state situation at all…
I still felt bad for the way I reacted and tried to explain myself to him yesterday but the disappointed in his expression was more than obvious.

He wanted this to be real and wanted someone to tell him what he told me… Someone who could be as open about that as he was… but that wasn’t me… maybe one day I would be able to, but not now and not so soon.
I wished I could, but right now I just felt like I owed him and I couldn’t give him what he deserved.
And that was making me feel bad…

I looked over at Ave when we stopped at the nearest shop and she looked torn between complete and utter happiness and being sick to her stomach from lying.
I knew my little Gnome and she hated to lie to her father, and she was so bad at it, too.
I was glad she could keep her mouth shut and let me do the talking during the breakfast, but how would it go later on when we had dinner?!

“Tell me Ave, what makes you look like you just found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?” I joked and she looked at me from the side. Then she looked down on her phone with a huge smile and I knew she must have received a text from Brian. Her eyes twinkling with joy and I felt even worse now.
“Brian…” She said and I knew what this meant, he finally found those balls of his and had told her what he wanted and apparently also what she wanted to hear.

“So, tell me about it, humor me a bit.” I said and maybe the distraction would work for me as well.
“I bet you already know, cause you talked to him! Why did you talk to him, M?! I hope you didn’t say anything embarrassing, because you tend to do that.” Ave shoved me a little to the side and I chuckled while she put her phone away.

“Well, you look happy, which means I did say the right things, huh?” I grabbed her hand in mine and she smiled.
“Yeah, you should have heard what he said… It was… damn… I haven’t felt this good in ages.” Avery said dreamily and I wanted to puke.

“What are we looking for anyway? And why are you looking so sad, M? We are shopping… we got Daddy’s credit card, come on…” Avery asked and I sighed. Normally I loved to shop, especially with Larry’s credit card and Ave by my side, but.. this wasn’t really distracting enough for me, today.

Avery stopped me on the sidewalk and glanced up to me “What is it? You having trouble with Matt?”
“I-I… no… more the other way around, Matt’s having trouble with me.” I finally admitted and Avery gave me a sympathy look, one I didn’t want and didn’t deserve.

“Come on, let’s sit down for a bit.” Avery guided me to a bench near us and she turned to me waiting for me to explain.
“Gods… Ave, you know me. Why can’t I be normal? Why can’t I act normal…” I buried my head in my hands and Ave put a hand to my back stroking softly.

“What happened Maya?” Ave asked and I began telling her about Matt wanting to get to know me better, my feeling of losing all and nearly panicking, him finally saying the words I wasn’t prepared to hear and wasn’t able to give him back. Ave listened to all of it without judging, that’s why she was my best friend after all.

“I can talk to him, Maya. I can explain if you want me to, but I don’t know if that will make anything better? I know why you feel this way, I know it… I bet Matt will give you time, just do what your heart tells you, sweetie. Don’t rush it if you are not feeling it, but don’t push him away, because he really wants this to work, give him a chance, maybe he can make you trust him… Don’t think too much, M.” Ave said and I nodded, she was right, maybe I just had to go real slow… if Matt would accept that?

“Now tell me what Brian did that makes you look so happy? Was he that good?” I grinned and Ave rolled her eyes smirking.
“He is that good, but we didn’t get to it after my Dad called this morning telling me that he stood on our door.” Ave’s cheeks were a bright red, but she looked so happy and I was happy for her as well.

“Oh shoot. Really?” I chuckled and Ave gave me a bitter look “Yes, really. Now, let’s get to the shopping part and find some nice things… maybe some underwear that our boyfriends can enjoy later on?” Ave got up and pulled me along with her as she smirked.
“He is your boyfriend Maya and it will stay that way, now shut down that thinking part of your brain for a little bit and let’s finally do as we were told.”

At round about four Avery and I were both packed with different kinds of bags and I felt carefree and happy again, I forgot about the whole situation I was having with Matt, even though when he appeared in my mind this fluttering feeling in my stomach started all over again and I did receive some texts from him, telling me that Larry was still around, waiting for us to come back, so he could spend time with his daughters. I had to chuckle when he also wrote that he would rather spend the time with me in a dressing room right now, then sitting next to Larry having a coffee break…

“What do you think your father wanted to discuss with the guys?” I asked Ave when we set our bags down in our room, at least now it looked like we had used it.
“No idea, but I bet we will find out soon.” Avery said and I nodded.
“Should we go down, I bet he is already waiting for us.” I told Avery and she nodded. “I will quickly redress, so my Dad knows we actually were shopping, you so should do the same, Matt will really like it, I guarantee you.” Avery said and I nodded quickly, hopefully… if he wasn’t already planning to say goodbye to me?! Ah damn, why was I this uncertain and weird about all this! I quickly shook my head and put a smile on “You don’t have to tell that twice.” I looked into my bags and searched for the right outfit, while Avery had vanished into the bathroom.

When we were done it was shortly after five and I looked at Ave and me while we stood in the elevator and we looked hot, damn hot if I say so myself.

We walked into the lobby and I saw Larry standing there with Matt and Zack, the three turned towards us and I saw both Matt and Zack having his mouth hang open and I had to smile.
“Ah, my girls. You ready to have dinner? You look fabulous, did you enjoy the afternoon? The rest of the guys will join us shortly, I have a something to announce but then I sadly have to leave again.” Larry said and before I knew it I sat next to Matt on the table, while Larry took a seat on my other side and Ave on his other.

“I will just inform you before the others arrive, cause I got an urgent appointment that came in for tomorrow. Damn, I planned to stay the whole day with you, or I wouldn’t have encouraged you to the shopping trip.” Larry said and I frowned, what was coming now?
Did he really suspect anything? I saw Matt staring at me from the side and I felt his eyes wander all over me and I really had to concentrate not to let it show how much he affected me right now.

“What is it Dad?” Ave asked a little uncertainty in her voice as well.

“I told the guys after you left that I got a call from the management of Asking Alexandria and they need you to help out on their merch stand. It would be for two days while you won’t be working with these guys. So that would work out, perfectly. You said you are willing to help so, would you do that for me?” Larry asked looking from me to Ave and I felt excited and sad at the same time, meeting another band would be cool, but having to work without having Matt and the other guys around sucked.

“Sure” I said because Avery was still looking a little shocked and I hoped she would mask that soon.
“Like we said we really like to help out.” I nodded and saw out of the corner of my eye that Matt had his hands balled to fists.
Calm down, big guy!

“Perfect, I talked to Ben, he is the guitarist and founding member of the band, when you will arrive at the venue the day after tomorrow you can meet up with him and his band and he can give you the first instruction how to work on the next official day.” Larry said and I nodded.
“Alright, sounds like a plan.” I smiled at Larry who looked down on his phone.

“Ah damn it, I gotta leave already, wished I could have stayed for dinner but, I will visit you again soon.” Larry said and I didn’t know if it was meant as promise or as threat.

“That’s nice Dad. Thanks for stopping by oh and here is your card, thank you again for letting us have such a good time.” Avery hugged her Dad and afterwards he pulled me in for a hug and said his goodbye just when Johnny, Jimmy and Brian arrived at our table.

“What you leaving already Lar-bear?” Jimmy asked and Larry nodded “Sadly, yes. Keep an eye on my girls and remember our talk, guys.” With that he waved his goodbyes and left and I sighed in relief when he was out of sight.

“Babe, you are looking gorgeous.” Matt whispered in my ear giving me shivers and Brian was about to pull Avery into his arms but Jimmy got between it “We don’t know if he is still watching. Keep a little more distance for now... All of you.”

“Damn, this was a fucking horrible day… I had different plans on how to start the day and how this day would go down.” Brian muttered letting himself plop down next to Ave, he laid his arm around the back of her chair and pulled her further into him and I smiled, even though he just heard he should keep his distance he couldn’t.
Brian really looked happy with Ave and I think it was good that he put a name on it, it looked nice on him and on her even more.

“You wanna skip dinner here and order room service?” Matt leaned to me and I smiled at him and was about to tell him yes, when Brian interrupted me.
“So did Larry tell you about his grant plan of you being AA’s merch girls?” He asked looking not happy at all.

“Yes, he did. But only for two days… that will be okay.” Avery said and Brian grabbed her hand “You don’t know these guys, do you?” He asked and Ave shook her head “Not really no.”

“They are fucking men whores and-” Brian started and thought about something “Did Larry gave them the rule talk as well? Or should we do that, what do you think?” Brian looked at Matt who had his eyes on me.
“I will most definitely have a talk with them.” Matt said and I had to chuckle.

“Oh come on guys, they won’t be that bad. And of course my Dad will have talked to them, it’s for two days… we will only be a couple of more feet away from the normal booth, not out of the country.” Avery chuckled and Brian pulled her onto his lap, looking around if anyone saw and when he felt safe he hugged her closer “I just want you as close as humanly possible, you still owe me some answers, love.” He said and I frowned, I bet that was some weird sex game between those two.

“Come on, let’s go upstairs.” Matt took my hand and pulled me up to him.
“Good evening guys” I said and waved when Jimmy stopped us “You remember we will leave tomorrow around 7, Larry reminded me…” He said and he gave me a questioning look and I nodded, knowing he wanted to know if I was alright.
“Yeah, we will be ready to leave, don’t worry.” Matt said and his hand tightened around mine before he guided me away.

Brian’s POV

Fucking finally! He left and when I was sure he was out of sight I pulled Avery to me. I have been gone without her touch since the interruption this morning and that was wrong.

I mean I just admitted that I wanted her, that she was mine that we would be together, so I needed her now with me.
I needed her close and I had to make sure she wouldn’t forget about that so soon.
Not, when Larry thought about taking our girls away from us.
Giving them to these British youngsters… I bet the girls will love those accents and the guys would try everything to get closer to them, I mean look at these two hot chicks, no wonder they were mine and Shadz.

I just hoped Larry had been as clear about everything as he had been with us… even though I knew how that worked out.
Maybe I had to talk to Ave about this again, before letting her go there?

“Matt and Maya left, come on… Let’s follow their example.” I got up and grabbed Ave’s hand in mine getting annoyed look from Zack “You leaving, too? Come on guys, can’t we have fucking dinner together at least?” He asked and I grinned.

“Well, I will have dessert now- you can start with dinner.” I slapped Avery’s ass and grinned, she looked damn hot in that new outfit and I wanted to find out what was hidden underneath.

“Hey!” She complaint holding her hands over her nice backside and I lifted my eyebrows at her “Don’t tell me you didn’t like it… I bet I can make you like it combined with some other nice techniques of mine.” I growled while we quickly moved into the elevator, already forgetting that I was just talking to Zack, well.. he will get over it.

I cornered her into the elevator putting my hands next to her head and leaned down “Did you buy something for me? Something for me, with Daddy’s credit card?” I asked playfully and Avery’s cheek got a slight pink.

“I wouldn’t do that, I’m a good girl.” She said and my eyes wandered down to her lips.
“Ah ah ah, love. Don’t lie to me… I know you are not.” I leaned further down, our lips only separated by inches.
“Fine” She swallowed thickly and breathed deeply in making her breasts be pressed up in that nice little top she was wearing.

“Do you have more nice surprises for me from your shopping tour?” I asked her and she looked at me from the side.

“Maybe… at least we came home with loads of bags, there might be more things to discover.” She teased and I grinned “Oh I like that game.”I tickled her sides and she laughed loudly.
“You wanna try something new on and I rip it off you again right away?” I asked and she snorted “Nothing will be ripped off, my Dad paid a lot of money for that.” She said in a serious tone, but her eyes were shining full of mischief.

I hated to break the good mood, but this thought wouldn’t leave my mind. “Why do you think your Dad will let you work for the other band?”Because I had a theory of my own.
“Don’t know… They needed help? You haven’t told me what he said to you during the meeting.” Ave asked and I sighed.

“He saw the pictures and reminded us about the rule, that was basically it. We could convince him that we were just out to party and to have a better look on you two we kept you close.” I shrugged and Avery paled a little “He doesn’t know, Ave. Don’t worry.” I pulled her closer to me stroking that silky hair from her face and placing it behind her ear.
“What do you think why he put us to the other band?” She asked me turning around to face me fullycompletely.

“I bet he wanted to see our reactions and Matt and I were trying hard not to freak out, honestly. We couldn’t say hell-no or he would know something was up… but we will keep an eye on you two, that’s for sure. We should have a talk about that, before we arrive anyway.” I told her and she rolled her eyes as if I was talking bullshit, but as long as I was concerned we would come back to that topic before we arrived and had to introduce our girls to their temporary working partners…

But could we even say to the Asking guys why these girls were off limits beside the Larry daughter thing? Or would they go running to him? No they wouldn’t… would they?
