Brian’s POV

My brain was working a bit slower but the words she just said were registered lightning fast.
“This can’t be the end… I won’t let it be.” I whispered not really knowing what I would do but after hearing her say what I wanted the entire time, I just couldn’t let her go.

Her hands were still resting on my cheeks and they felt so soft and small, her thumb kept rubbing over my bottom lip which drove me crazy, her eyes were fixed there as well, as if she wanted to kiss and devour me right here on the couch.

She pulled away having such a big smile on her face that I couldn’t help but peck her lips again, forgetting everything that was going on around us. Was that just happening today, or would it always be like that?

I don’t know how long we lay here like that, it must be pretty late at night or pretty early in the morning already.
“Where did everyone go?” Zacky’s slurred voice brought me back and I frowned at him.
“What?” I looked around.
“Wasn’t Matt, Maya and Jimmy here too?” He asked and began to giggle “What these three are up to now, huh?” He chuckled even more and Avery began to chuckle with him.
“I don’t think they are doing what you think, Zack.” She hid her grin behind her hand and I rolled my eyes.

Zack was the worst when he was high, the dumb ideas and the giggling never stopped.
“Who knows…” He stroked Avery’s leg and my eyes narrowed down to his hand, wait a second, had he been doing that the entire time?
Why did he touch her?
And what did that Francis guy mean with him and Avery, that thought alone let the green monsters head rise, wanting answers.
But I wouldn’t let it get the better of me, not right now… not wanting to ruin the last night we had, but if we however find a way to turn this all around again, I would most definitely find Zack and get my answer from him.

“Goodnight, Zack…” She leaned over to Zacky nearly falling into his lap and he just smirked at me.
“Have a good sleep, little one.” Zack kissed her cheek for my taste way too long, but just when I was about to open my mouth he let go and I grabbed her hand in mine.

We just stumbled out of the room when we walked into Jason, he looked at Ave and then his eyes met mine and I saw that he realized just in this moment what was going on, his face fell and I saw Avery blush, knowing she wouldn’t feel good about the situation right now.
But it was a fair game, we both had our chances, made her known we wanted her and I got her…
The question was just for how long.

“Can we talk?” Jason asked quietly and Avery blushed, then looked at me, I wanted to shake my head, but that wouldn’t be fair so I nodded, knowing she would come back to me.
“I’ll wait here.” Avery nodded and Jason put his hand on the small of her back guiding her a little away.

I watched them and could even make out some of the words they were saying-
“So you chose, huh?” Jason asked he sounded disappointed.
“I’m sorry… I really really like you Jason. You are a perfect guy but Brian-” Avery said but I couldn’t hear the rest of it, the music was turned up inside and the door was opened and closed from people coming out and going back in.

When I turned back to Avery and Jason, they were hugging and she whispered ins his ear, again my mind told me to go between it, and make her and him known she was mine now, but I was stronger this time. I tried to imagine that my feet where glued to the ground, I wouldn’t fuck up in the last couple of feet on the way, because I acted like a jealous prick.

Then I saw them coming back, Avery gave me a sad smile and Jason wouldn’t meet my eyes at all, went straight for the door and got inside, that man would get wasted, not only because he lost his chance with Avery, but also because he might lose her forever, if we couldn’t find another way for them to stay.

I pulled Avery into my side when she was near and guided her towards our bus, it was a good thing that it was empty, everybody still up and around, and I didn’t wanna sleep this night, too.
I didn’t wanna close my eyes knowing when I would wake up, I had to let her go…

“You want something to eat? Or drink?” I asked Avery who let herself fall down in the bench.
“Yes, I would like some sweets… I know Maya always wants to eat chocolate, do you have chocolate?” She asked hopeful and I chuckled. Jimmy also always wanted to eat chocolate while being high, Maya and Jimmy were more alike than you would think right away.

“Let me see…” I walked towards the cupboard and opened each and everyone searching for chocolate, but ending empty handed.
“Nothing?” Avery asked sadly, and damn I had to whip that look of her face, she needed to be happy on her last night…
“Wait.. I got one final chance.” I told her holding up my finger, for patience.

I went to Jimmy’s secret hiding place and find a pack of all different kind of chocolate bars, jackpot.
“So love, which one shall it be?” I held it up for Avery to choose and her eyes lit up.
“Oh god, I haven’t had MilkyWay in ages! I love those!” She jumped up from the bench nearly falling into me with all her enthusiasm.

“Okay, come on. Take what you want and we head to the back, so no one gets a hint of where we have them from, tomorrow Jimmy will kill me.” I said and Avery looked shocked.
“You will get in trouble for that?” She looked at the MilkyWay in her hand and was about to put it away, and she looked so darn cute that even if I had to go to jail for this, I would have given her one.

I took the chocolate from her hand and she smiled “That’s okay. I don’t really want it”
Wasn’t really convincing and she winced “I’m a bad liar.”
“I like that.” I grinned, opening the chocolate for her and holding it to her lips.

“Take it, babe. All yours.” She looked at me wide eyed and then opened her mouth and bit into the chocolate, when she had the first real taste in her mouth, she moaned and I swallowed thickly, oh shit, this was turning into a very serious direction, very quick.

“What do you mean? We will leave, we will be on vacation and you will keep touring. That’s it.” I said and avoided just what he wanted to hear.
“Will I see you again? You can come back after your vacation, visit us… come back to me.” Matt asked and I nodded, sure I could.
But would I want to see that after two weeks he already moved on, maybe walk in on him spending time with a groupie or something… nope I didn’t.

“Sure… we could do that.” I avoided his eyes again and Matt put his finger underneath my chin, making me look up to him.
“Don’t do that, Maya. Don’t shut me out and don’t throw this away like that.” He stared me down until I sighed.
“I don’t want to, believe me I don’t… but this is doomed, was doomed from the start. I don’t see that this could work…” I shrugged and Matt looked pissed, I knew he would never hurt me, no matter how bad he lost his temper I was safe with him, but now he looked angry as fuck.

“You promised me not to run at the first opportunity, babe. You said we try. So fucking try!” He was getting in my face and I stared right back at him, I wanted… really wanted.

“I don’t know how!” Okay, fine he got some temper but so did I. “I’m not used to this feeling. I don’t know how to handle this, okay!” I turned around breathing deeply in and out.
Then I felt two strong arms around me, pulling me back “I know… I’m sorry. I just… don’t and can’t let you go.” His deep voice was sending shivers down my spine.

His lips brushing my ear and making me feel better right then “Make love to me… please, a final time” I whispered and I didn’t know if he heard me and I didn’t know if I wanted him to hear me but I was suddenly scooped up in two strong arms and he practically ran towards the bus, he made the choice of the roadie bus and it was still empty, everyone was making this the longest night possible and I planned on not spending a minute sleeping.

“GO AW-” Matt opened his mouth but I held my hand in front of his lips, stopping him.
“Come in.” I earned and evil look from Matt but Jimmy was my friend, too. One of my closest now anyway.

Jimmy stood in the open doorway, looking as I have never seen him before and Matt seemed to sense that, too.
“What’s wrong Jimbo?” Matt asked and Jimmy finally looked up, his eyes a little red, he had been as high as all of us apparently, but Matt and I had quickly quit and went out.
“I..I.. thought it would work. I really did… I don’t know what to do. You can’t leave, Maya. You can’t! You owe me! I told you so!” Jimmy whined and damn he was breaking my heart, right there.

“Come here.” I held my arms open and I knew Matt wouldn’t be too happy about this, but my friend needed me now, and I needed him, too.
Jimmy jumped onto the bed and right into my arms, when Matt pushed his arm between us, “Jimbo, hands where I can see them!”

Jimmy nodded, not really up for playing as it seemed and he hugged me tight, so tight I could barely breathe.
“Air! Jimmy! AIR!” I squeezed out and he softened his grip a little.
“I thought it would work, really I did.” I stroked his hair from his face and nodded “I know, sweetie. I know… It’s not your fault.” I tried to soothe him, Jimmy moved down and placed his head in my lap while I felt Matt shift behind me, he pulled my into his body as well, still needing the contact and I was glad for that.

I turned to him and gave him a smile “Thank you” I mouthed and he nodded, he still didn’t look to happy about to share our time, but who could say no to Jimmy, cause I sure as hell couldn’t.
“Can I stay? I need to stay, I need your touch-” Jimmy started and a growl came from behind me. I felt Matt’s chest moving and I chuckled.
“Not like that, jeez. I got it, okay? But you need to share, I told you that before.” Jimmy let out frustrated and I kept on stroking his hair and he cuddled more into my side.

I don’t know how long we lay like this, but the sun was already getting up, and I felt Matt yawn behind me.
“What time is it, babe?” I asked and Matt patted his pants for his phone.
“Shit, already 7 in the morning, we need to get ready soon.” He cursed and I pushed myself up, kissing his lips, because I knew I wouldn’t get that many chances, once Larry was here, we couldn’t even say our proper goodbye.

“What’s up with him?” Matt motioned to Jimmy and I looked into his peaceful face “Asleep”
“I would be too, if I would have been stroked and cuddled up with you the entire night, which should have been my night alone.” Matt muttered and I smiled at him.
“But I like you even more for letting me spend my last night with both of you…” I grinned at the sentence.

“Don’t tell that to anyone, now let’s get up and use the last moments alone before Larry shows up.” Matt pulled his pants on when a knock sounded at the door.
“Guys! Larry will be here in about 30, we need to talk” Matt Berry yelled and I sighed, nothing about quiet and nice moments, before he arrives.

I looked at Matt and he had a sad expression on his face, maybe he was also realizing, that now, there was no way of going back, we would leave… in nothing more than 30 minutes.
