I gotta be honest, the dinner was not what I planned and nothing like I expected… I was planning for a real date, a date for two… a freaking date for Avery and me and not for me and the whole bunch of people around us.
It was freaking loud and everyone was talking, and I didn’t really get the chance to talk to Avery, and alone wasn’t even an option or possibility as it seemed.

Shit, this sucked bad… I planned to make this special, just for her and me… and then Gates came along, talking about going together and everything was going down the drain.
That son of a bitch, I knew exactly what he was doing there.

He didn’t like the thought of me and Avery, he just saw the fact that his little toy liked me more than him and that he fucked up big time in treating her that way.
Did his mother never tell him how to treat a woman like Avery the right way?
Just because he was treating groupies like shit, not every girl deserved or wanted to be treated like that, and especially not someone, as funny and beautiful as Avery.

And when I thought that she would be probably leaving soon if we don’t get them to stay with our plans, I wouldn’t see her again…
I mean sure she was Larry’s daughter, but how often did we see her before this job, like never…

I would tell her how I felt towards her… I already had a plan on how to be alone with her after this dinner was finally over.

I would get my date, and I would do it tonight, I just needed a little help from Jimmy tonight and I hoped he was in for it.
When he stood up to go to the bathroom or checking for some hidden ninjas in the bathroom, you never knew with Jimmy, I quickly excused myself too and went after him.

When I opened the bathroom door I saw it was empty, shit where did that fucker go now?!

“Say the secret safety word” He said and I rolled my eyes “Fine, Unicorn” I said and Jimmy let go immediately.
“What do you want?” Jimmy straightened his clothes and so did I. I ran my hands through my hair to try and make it look normal again.
“How do you know I want something?” I asked with a grin and Jimmy just shook his head “You wouldn’t follow me to the bathroom if you didn’t have something you want, so tell me about it.”

“Can I ask you for a favor?” I finally asked sighing and knowing that it would costs me pretty bad getting a favor from Jimmy, he always wanted something in return and you had to pay with something you would regret later on.

“Sure you can ask, doesn’t mean I will help you” Jimmy washed his hands and I closed my eyes shortly “I told you already that I planned a date for me and Ave. I wanted to have this dinner alone with her, but as you know Gates ruined it, now I wanted to take her to a dessert date after the dinner but when Brian sees I’m going with her somewhere, he will try to fuck this up again..And I need you to distract him so I can take Ave towards our date without him noticing… and later we will come to the after party.” I finished and looked at Jimmy, he met my eyes and just stared at me for a moment.

“You like her, right?” He asked and I sighed heavily “I guess too much already.”
“Right answer. I’m helping you, but you gotta be quick, we will all ride back together to the venue, I will distract him and you will leave for whatever you plan… and then I’ll see you at the party.” With that Jimmy left the bathroom and I smiled, yes!

When I came back from the bathroom, the dinner became more and more awkward from each second. Maya and Matt weren’t really talking to each other and you could see Matt was about to snap at every moment, and I was more than annoyed seeing that Brian again was leaning towards Avery whispering in her ear.
I mean, what the fuck… we were here all together, he could talk normally to her, maybe we all wanted to hear?!
But I bet we didn’t or at least, I didn’t wanna hear what he had to say to her.

When we sat in the cab back to the venue, Jimmy somehow managed to get Brian into the other cab together with Maya and Johnny, while Matt, Zack, Ave and I were riding here.

The cab stopped and the other got out, when Avery was about to move out I held her arm and looked over to Jimmy, he gave me a small nod and then he grabbed Brian by the arm leading him away while gesturing with his arms wildly.

“Actually right now.” I told Avery and she looked surprised, I gave the cabby new directions and we drove off.

When I was finally alone with her, eating the ice cream which she devoured so delightfully I couldn’t help myself but watch her, damn she was such a turn-on, did she even know that?

“How did you manage that we could escape like that?” Avery smiled at me from the side and I grinned.

“It’s getting late… I think we should get back… I told Maya I would be at the party…” Avery said quietly and I nodded, the time flew by way too fast.
“Yes, let’s go and have a drink, I could use one, how about you?” I asked with a smile and knew that the drink would be necessary as soon as Brian would see Avery at the party.

And sure I was right, we just set a foot into the room of the after party and Brian was already looking our way, Maya was dancing with Jimmy and someone else beside her and Matt was standing next to Brian throwing death glares towards whomever stood near Maya, oh this would end badly tonight that was sure and right that second Matt moved forward, leaving Brian standing alone…

So Brian apparently had nothing better to do and came walking our way and he stopped right in front of me, turning to Avery and blocking me out, that damn fucker. He asked Avery if she wanted to smoke and she followed him outside.
Damn, that ass… I wouldn’t leave her alone with him that was sure.
I walked beside them and saw Brian lit up Avery’s cigarette, they were standing really close and I didn’t like that.

“So.. where have you been?” Brian asked casually and Avery blushed a little “We went to have some ice cream, my favorite… it was delicious.” Avery nearly moaned and damn I did too seeing her talk like that, while Brian licked his lips.

“Really? That’s pretty nice… maybe we could do that, too sometime?” Brian asked her and I gaped at him, what the fuck!
“Ave, how about we-” Brian started when Jimmy started to yell “Brian?! Can you come for a second?”

“Fucking hell, that guy is really annoying today.” Brian groaned and handed his cigarette to me “Don’t run away, Ave. I have plans for us.” Brian smirked at her and I wanted to punch his face, but refused to.

Ave and I finished our cigarette but we didn’t talk, damn Brian was totally ruining the mood, I had to think about something to help distract her. I guided her back inside and we looked over the crowd.

“Should I get us a drink?” I asked but then suddenly Maya stormed past us and Matt hot on her heels, they were yelling at each other and had angry expressions on their faces. Avery was about to step towards Maya but I stopped her with a hand “No, don’t… Let them talk it out… or well, maybe they will get it out of their system another way… but believe me you don’t wanna be there.” I told Avery and she looked concerned “Are you sure… they looked-” Avery stopped midsentence and I saw her eyes move towards Brian.

A woman was standing opposite of him, she was touching his arm and was sending him all the signs that she wanted to get laid, Brian was talking to her, but my guess was that he wasn’t really interested, his eyes wandered towards Avery but she quickly shook her head and looked a little disappointed.

“Drink, you said? I could use one” Avery pulled me on my arm through the crowd until we finally landed next to Zack and Johnny.

“Should we do some shots?” Zack asked looking at Avery and she nodded “Hell yeah, we should get some shots!”

“I’ll get us some” I motioned towards the made up bar and felt and arm around my waist, I quickly looked behind me and saw Avery smiling up to me “I’ll help you.”

“Thanks, beauty.” I leaned down and placed a small kiss on her cheek and she smiled even more, that flutter in my stomach started again but I tried to concentrate fully on the shots.
I made enough that would last us a while and Avery helped me to carry them back.

“To an amazing evening and an even better night” I lifted my glass and Avery, Johnny and Zack followed.
“Hear hear” Zack yelled and downed his glass, so did the rest of us.
“That was better” Avery sighed in relief after the shot, probably still having the vodka taste in her mouth.

“Another one?” She asked lifting an eyebrow in challenge and looked at the others.
“Well… I can..” Zack grinned and we did another round of shots and I felt the alcohol burning down my throat, hell what a nice feeling.

“Should we dance?” I asked Avery and she shook her head “You danced with me already, and with Zack, too… so don’t tell me that bullshit about you don’t dance… Or do you need another drink to encourage yourself?” I asked playfully and saw Avery look around but then shrug “Fuck, why not?”
She downed another shot and even before I could drink mine, she pulled me towards the dance floor.

We danced one more song before Zack wanted a dance with her, we drank some more and the time passed really quickly, and before I knew it Avery and I were making our way towards our bus.
