Brian’s POV

Wait a second… my mind was still foggy and I couldn’t really follow what was going on around me.
I remembered the night, the perfectly fine night, where I kissed Avery, where we talked, where we laughed together and where we fell asleep in my bed… together.

I had to admit, she fell asleep first and I watched her, she made these cute little noises in her sleep and I bet she had been dreaming, she was trashing around a little until I put my arm firmly around her and had her spooned up.

She smelled so good, like nothing I smelled before just with a little hint of the alcohol she must have been drinking during the night… that and her unique Avery smell and that fruity shampoo she must be using.

I laid there and relinquished in the feel of not having to fight anyone to hold her, not Jason, not Zack… and not Maya.
Even though the thought of Maya and Avery in this bed together with me was kind of thrilling, but not as long as I was on Maya’s bad side.

Sleep had been slowly overtaking me and when I woke up to loud voices around me and the commotion, I raised my head and wanted to save Ave from all the trouble when I noticed she was gone.

Nowhere to be found in my bed… but then… where was she?
And when did she leave?
And why didn’t she tell me she would leave?

And why did I feel so fucked up about the fact that she would just leave me and why did the guilt wash over me, because I had done exactly the same with her… but right after we had sex?!
Stupid, Haner!

Fuck, I should talk to her.. find out if she just been here with me because she was drunk or if she wanted to spend more time with me?
Was she still interested in me?
But I couldn’t let the others know, not before I talked to her and I knew what I really wanted, because that was still one messy business I haven’t figured out yet.

I quickly made my way out of the back room running into Matt who looked stressed and talked about a band meeting.
I didn’t see Avery anywhere around and Matt finally told me that she was outside talking to Larry.
Damn… Larry was here.. did she leave because she knew her father would be here early?
Maybe that was the reason?!
That made perfectly fine sense, right?

“They have a new what?” Jimmy let the coco puffs fall down and I also stared at Jason and Matt.
“Who said that?” I nearly yelled.
“Larry. Now, would you guys listen finally. He was just talking outside to us, the girls were there and he said, that in 2 Days the new merch GUY was starting his trial work.” Matt said and I saw the angry expression on his face.

“But the girls are also staying, right?” Jimmy asked hopeful and I nodded, that was good, we just had to tell the new guy, that the girls are off limits. Not only Daddy, off limits, but Avenged off limits, which meant much more.

“No, I hoped that too.” Jason said his expression sad and his eyes turned to me shortly before darting away again.

“That’s bullshit, we don’t need another merch guy… I mean… they are doing it perfeclyt, we haven’t made that much money through our merch… like ever.” Zack shook his head and then groaned loudly, regretted the shaking apparently right away.

“I’ll talk to Larry, I won’t let Knife girl and the little one go. I just won’t!” Jimmy said trying to move towards the front of the bus but Matt pulled him back. “Jimbo, come back. First, you only wear boxers. You should put some clothes on… Second, you can’t just go to him and say they need to stay… not like that.. he will get suspicious..” Matt shook his head, I knew he was already thinking of a plan.

“Why? I am not fucking any of them. I can tell that just from a friends side.” Jimmy said but Zack chuckled “You did fuck one of them, if you forgot”
“I didn’t forget, how could I!” Jimmy grinned and I saw Matt ball his fists and looked at the two “Don’t talk like that… fuck, we need to figure something out.”

I agreed with him, he didn’t want Maya to go and I needed another shot with Avery and that would take time, and wouldn’t be done in two freaking days…
“So, they don’t leave right away when the new guy arrives do they? Are they going home that day?” I asked and Matt looked even more miserable, did he know something more?

“They are leaving in three days.. to the freaking Bahamas, Larry booked them a Wellness Spa Vacation package or some shit as a thank you.” Matt said and ran his hand over his face.
“Fuck” I cursed, they would not only be gone from here, they would be freaking relaxing on some beach, all alone those two women, surrounded by other party people getting their hands on them and leaving us back here as a slight memory.

“How about we don’t let it come that far?” Zack asked and made us all look at him.
“What are you thinking about?” Matt looked at him, hope and question in his eyes.
“Well, Gates knows how to get rid of employees, right?” Zack asked into the group and I shook my head.
“Fuck off, I’m not gay, asshat!” I shoved him further into the bench making him chuckle.
He laughed loudly and I saw the other smirking too, nice friends they are!

“Amazing that you would think of that, maybe you should take one for the team… But we don’t know if that guy is gay and into you, so we need to use what we have…” Zack finally continued after he calmed down and whisked his tears away from laughing and I rolled my eyes.

“Will you freaking spill it now?” I was getting impatient and wanted to shake it out of him.
“Well, we will just be as high headed and as fucked up as we can. You guys all know we can be pretty shitty to people we don’t like and don’t want, right? Let’s up our game a little bit…” Zack said and I nodded.
“He won’t want to stay one hour” Matt grinned and I couldn’t suppress the smile as well.
“We need a strategy” Jimmy yelled excitedly.

“Yeah, we need to make a battle plan. JB, you will just be too busy to show him how his work is done, tell your brother and the others the same… he will be lost! Snap at him, if the shit is not right that he is doing and then walk away.” Matt announced earning a nod from Jason “No problem.”

“Jimmy you gotta think about a way to scare the people away from our stand, nothing too drastic, just making Larry see that we are not making money this way.” I added and Jimmy gave me a smirk “You don’t have to ask me twice.”

“I got the ultimate idea.” Johnny said from behind us and I thought he already fell asleep.
“Oh really? What would that be?” Matt asked frowning.
“You forgot the main rule of this whole thing? The rule: No one is allowed to break and if that guy is doing it, he will be kicked out by Larry himself on the first day.” Johnny asked and I frowned what did he-
Oh now I got it, but I didn’t like it.
“His daughters” Matt said and Johnny nodded “Exactly, if that guy is making a move on Maya or Ave, he will kick his sorry ass back to where he came from.”

Johnny was right, but still, how did we get that controlled, I didn’t want that guy to come to close to Ave and the look on Matt’s face said that he would punch anyone friend or foe for daring looking wrong at Maya.
What was up with Shadz anyway?
Was he that deep in it with Maya and was she aware of that?
Anyway, wasn’t my problem in the end…

“I don’t like that” I finally said and earned a nod from Jason and Matt but Jimmy shook his head.
“I think that is a good idea… I mean.. if we talk to them, I bet we could-”
“No..” I began again but Zack rolled his eyes “I don’t think Avery would do it anyway, but if we talk to Maya about it, maybe she could.. you know…” Zack wiggled his eyebrows and I saw Matt’s jaw muscles work but he kept quiet.

“We still have to talk to them anyway… what if they want to leave?” Jason asked and we all looked at him.
“What do you mean? Want to leave?”For me there wasn’t an option that they would leave, they would stay here…

“They got an awesome vacation planned from Larry… they looked pretty excited.” Jason said and I turned to Matt, he was there too, what did he think?!
“They won’t leave. That guy will be gone, and they will stay here… we will figure out all the details. We still got some time left before we need to get ready, right?” Matt looked at his watch and nodded.

“Is Larry still here?” I asked, knowing we had to be extra careful.
“Yeah, but has some meetings…” Matt said and I turned to walk out the bus “Where are you going, Gates?”
“Checking the merch stand and then getting breakfast, you wanna join?” I asked Matt and he nodded together with Jimmy who also got up following us.

We jogged past the venue seeing Maya and Avery ahead of us “MAYA! AVE!” Jimmy yelled and they stopped turning around, not the most decent way in catching up with them, but well, worked still as good.

“Hey…” Ave looked a little shy and I smiled “Hi.” I stopped shortly before her and Matt did the same with Maya, while Jimmy was looking between us back and forth.
“You want to grab breakfast with us?” I asked and looked over to Maya who gave me a death glare again “You two?” I asked looking at Maya pointedly with a smirk, then back to Avery and she looked uncertain while Maya just rolled her eyes.

“Yeah, I would totally want to… but Larry is still around.” Maya said to us but Matt didn’t seem to mind he just laid his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close.
“I don’t know why Jason got to touch Ave and I got the death stare from Larry, that were double standards, did you see that?” Matt said and I frowned, what was he talking about?

“Ave, did you tell your father something about me?” Matt asked playfully and Ave shrugged “Not that I know of, maybe he just rather keeps the band members in check.”

I was just about to ask what this was about when Maya interrupted me “Ave, don’t you have other plans right now?" Maya lifted her eyebrow in question and I was wondering why I felt so left out again.
“Well… yeah I just don’t know if-” Avery looked uncomfortable around and then I saw the reason for that coming our way.

“Ave, you ready?” Jason asked and moved to her other side and I glared at him, what other plans? And what was he doing here?
“Don’t you have work to do?” I snapped and Jason shrugged. “I took care of everything, and I promised Avery breakfast” I looked to Jimmy who just shrugged, great friend.
“Well, what a nice surprise, cause we also planned on going to get us breakfast right now, so we will just come along, right?” I looked at Maya and Matt and hoped just this one time they would be on my side.

Maya opened her mouth but Matt cut her of this time “We can all go together, let’s get the other guys, too. They haven’t had anything yet. Larry is still around so maybe he wants to join in anyway… And we don’t want to break Daddy’s rules right?” Matt asked and Maya looked up at him with a not so amused expression but I nodded curtly and Matt winked.
I owed him for that, I guess.

Maya’s POV

Why did Matt ruin Avery and Jason’s breakfast alone, we could have gone with the others and left the two… damn I wanted them to have some time alone, so Avery could figure out what a nice guy Jason was… but she seemed still way too hung up on Brian… and after the night they shared together… even more though.

Brian was eyeing her the entire time and I couldn’t watch that, it was really a shame to see him like that, if he would just open his big mouth and say what he wanted, he might would get it but now, he rather went the quiet route and fooled around dumbly…

What an ass…
I wasn’t sure if he would reach his goal again, but I better kept my mouth shut anyway, knowing Avery was already confused enough.

Still Brian had to proof to me he was worth another shot with my best friend.. and right now, he was as worthy as the dirty underneath my nails…

“Would you quit looking at him like that!” Matt whispered in my ear and I shivered feeling his lips so close.
“What? Who?” I asked innocently sipping my coffee. “You know what I mean, if you keep on staring at other guys like that, I might get jealous… you don’t want to see me jealous, do you?” His hands moved to my hips and then wandered further around to my belly and down south, but then stopped when the door opened, quickly pulling his hands away and laying them back around the bench as if nothing happened.

“If that’s the way it was going when you are jealous you can bet I want to see that.” I leaned back into his side and Matt groaned quietly.

The rest of our breakfast was rather silent, it was a weird atmosphere if I had to name it. Avery sitting next to Brian and Jason on the bench, I was in the middle of Matt and Jimmy on the other side, while Zack and Johnny were sitting on two chairs on each side of the table.

I felt the eyes shit from Avery to me and back, what was this about? Did they want to say something towards us or what is going on?

“I’m need to freshen up, Ave you coming along?” I asked and wiggled my way past Matt and Avery did the same with Jason.
“Yeah…” She nodded and we walked together to the restrooms.
“Ave, have you noticed too that something is going on… I mean… they are so quiet not like usually, don’t you think?”
Avery looked at me frowning and nodded “I thought I was the only one noticing. You are right, but maybe they just partied too long yesterday… I mean they are all poking in their food not really eating and look at Zack, he looks still drunk or high...” I nodded but didn’t really know if we should ask or not.

“Should we ask them or rather not? Maybe something happened we don’t know about?” I shrugged, but Matt would have told me wouldn’t he?
“We should” Avery finally said and I looked into the mirror checking if everything was fine and brushed my fingers through my hair.

“Maya, what I wanted to ask you… how do you feel about leaving?” Avery met my eyes in the mirror and I shrugged, not really knowing what to answer.
It was a decision made anyway and it wasn’t ours to choose, so what should I say.
“Would you like to stay? I mean… you and Matt…” She lifted her eyebrows and looked at me curiously and I smiled.

Yes, Matt and I that was something… something different I had to admit, but it would be over… either when we had to leave now… or when we had to leave after the tour and even if I wanted it to last… it was not in my hands… and not in his…

“The decision is made… isn’t it? Daddy wants us to leave, so we will leave… and hey we have a nice vacation in the Bahamas, that’s something, right?” I asked trying to sound enthusiastic while putting a fake smile on my face.

“Don’t do that with me, M! That smile is as fake as it can be” Avery chuckled lightly and I joined in.
“Fine okay… I would like to stay… for a little while.. I mean, we have so much fun… and I like the guys, the work isn’t bad… and the parties are awesome… If I get to choose I would just postpone the Bahamas trip until after the tour” I grinned and Avery shook her head laughing.
“You are bad! You want it all, right?” She asked and I chuckled “Of course.”

“But if we have to leave, we gotta leave with a bang, right? So, when that new guy arrives, he is working, right? We get to party, we can watch the show from the guys, we can get fucking wasted and we will be gone the next day… so we have to enjoy everything to the fullest, right Ave? Are you with me?” I asked and she smiled at me “I think I am, but like normally you are a little or rather a lot more into the enjoying and to the fullest part… but I will try to follow.” Avery smiled and I grabbed her into a hug.

“We will have fun, just follow my lead” I pulled her close when the restroom door opened and Jimmy walked in like he owned it.

“Fucking hell, I knew that’s what you are doing here.” He grinned at us and walked towards us his arms braced apart and joined our hug.
“What are you doing here? It’s the girls restroom.” Avery chided him but, he just chuckled.

“You were gone for quite a while, so I thought to check on you, and if you don’t want the whole band including the roadie to come inside, you should consider coming back out… or wait? Are we hiding here from someone? Is he a spy?” Jimmy looked around, and shoved us behind him.

“Jimmy, sweetie, look at me.” I put my hands on his cheeks and his baby blues met mine, they softened and he smiled “Everything is fine, Ave and I were just discussing something. We will be out in a second, okay?”
He nodded and put his hands above mine, keeping them attached to his face and I chuckled.

“What did you discuss? Maybe that you will leave us in 2 freaking days” Jimmy’s mood changed again quickly and he pulled my hands away turning around like a stubborn child and I sighed, Avery was just staring at us with a questioning look and I walked around Jimmy, making him look at me.

“Yes, that was it. Did Matt and Jason tell you?” I asked and he nodded, not meeting my eyes.
“You leave me, you both do.” He said looking at his feet and I pulled him into a hug and Avery did the same from behind making Jimmy chuckle lightly.
“We don’t get a chose in this… you know?” I said softly and Jimmy shook his head but didn’t say anything.

“Mmmhhmm…” A voice sounded from the front door. “This is a women restroom, if you don’t want to be thrown out by the manager you should quickly get out of there.” A waitress said and I looked up meeting her eyes with a smile “We will..”I let go of Jimmy and Avery blushed.

We walked back from the restroom, Jimmy holding one of my and one of Avery’s hands reluctantly letting go when we reached our table.
“I told you they were making out, and I was right.” Jimmy announced sitting down and all eyes turned towards me and Ave and I could only chuckle, he was really the worst.
