Zacky’s POV

When Avery, Jason, Larry and I arrived back at the venue Jimmy came running towards us, he grabbed Larry in a bro-hug and guided him away.
I was rather confused seeing him like that, I knew Jimmy was sometimes acting weird, but what did he have to discuss with Larry that he had to be alone…

Normally Jimmy discussed everything openly that came to his mind especially topics not appropriate to hear or say in front of everyone.
Jason and Avery excused themselves to go to the merch booth and sett everything up and I nodded, I needed to find the rest of my band, the show would start soon.

When I turned around I saw a cab arrive and Matt and Maya getting out of it, Matt was holding her hand and she grinned up to him… ill, huh?
Doesn’t look ill to me, I remembered what Avery told me, and I knew she felt bad about blaming Maya, but I knew after a little talk between them everything would be fine again, so there wasn’t much to worry about.

Maya and Matt stopped in their tracks seeing me and how Jimmy was leading Larry away, oh now I got it. Clever trick, did Jimmy know they would arrive now?

Maya let go of Matt’s hand and quickly moved away from him, he looked after her and took a step towards her but then shook his head, deciding against it.
He met my eyes and came over to me. “Nursing back to health, went pretty good, huh?”
Matt didn’t look guilty at all and just laughed “Oh yes, better than good.” His eyes wandered to the roadie bus where Maya disappeared in.

“What’s going on here? Jimmy called saying we had to be on stage early? Someone cancelled?” He asked and I nodded.
“Yeah, we were shopping and Larry got the call, he informed the rest but somehow couldn’t reach you… weird, huh?”I asked and Matt smirked.
“Well, I had other things to do. And believe me… breaking the rules is more than worth it sometimes.”
I nodded, if she had been worth it and we didn’t have another scene like the one Brian was causing I was fine.

“Oh you know what… Forget about it.” Jimmy said and left Larry standing there, mouth hanging open.
“Wait.. what?” Larry frowned shaking his head because Jimmy was already walking past us a smile on his face
“Your welcome.” He said to Matt and walked away and I chuckled “He saved your ass.” I commented and Matt rolled his eyes.
“I know.. I will thank him later, he gets an extra drum solo or something.” Matt muttered and also left me standing there.

Okay, so half the band was complete another question was where are Gates and Christ?
I better find them, too.
Hopefully Gates wasn’t after the next girl tonight, because I didn’t wanna see Avery even sadder then she already was.
It was some hard work to brighten up her mood and bring her to laugh this morning, but Jason and I succeeded in the end.

I headed back to the bus and walked right into Johnny. “Hey, you saw Gates somewhere?” I asked him and he motioned with his thumb back into the bus.

“Am I interrupting something?” I asked carefully, you never knew with these guys what you were up to.
“Would you care?” Johnny asked and I shrugged “Not really.”
“Then go find out.” With that he went down the stairs and I changed position going up.

I looked around the bus finding Brian alone half sitting half lying on the bench staring up at the ceiling.
“Hey man, what’s up?” I let myself plop down beside him.
“Not much… how was shopping?” He looked at me from the corner of his eyes and I heard the tone from him before.

“Good, but quick ending, since we got the show starting early…” I answered carefully.
“Yeah right..” He didn’t look at me and I knew something was bothering him, but what?
“How was your morning? Already got plans for this evening?” I asked but he shook his head.
“Nope, how about? Want to tell me about your plan, Vee?” Brian sat up straight and I lifted my eyebrow, did he sound pissed?

“Not much, I thought hanging up at the party tonight. You don’t plan to come?” I asked a little irritated but Brian shook his head.
“I plan to come.” Brian said curtly, what was his problem now?
“You already found a new victim?” I asked and Brian rolled his eyes “You wanna know that, huh?”
Normally he pulled a smirk after saying that, but not now… so I didn’t know if he was fooling me now or being honest in not being sure himself.

“What’s up with Jason by the way? Since when does he like shopping trips?” Brian asked absently and I tried to hide the smile pulling on my lips, I knew this would be coming.

“Ave asked him and since I was there and Larry, why not? Does it bother you that we went shopping? Did you need something?” I asked him trying to coax out of him what he really wanted.

“No, I was just wondering.. since when are you and him best friends… and what had Avery to do with it?” He asked finally meeting my eyes.

“Will you tell me why you wanna know it or do you wanna beat around the bush longer?” I sighed sick of this conversation now, why couldn’t he ask what was on his mind.

If he wanted to know why we went with Ave, he should ask.
And if he wanted to know if there was something going on, he should ask.
And if he wanted her for himself, hell… he should tell somebody and especially Avery, because right now he was nothing more than an ass for her and I couldn’t blame her right now.

“There is nothing more to it… I’m not beating around the bush… Now, stop these stupid comments. We got a show to play.” With that Brian got up and stared down on me “Or do you wanna tell me something, Zack?” His eyes were daring me to tell him more, but I wouldn’t give that to him… if he wanted to know more, he had to ask the right questions, not the other way around.

“I got nothing to tell you… but maybe you should think about it again… just sayin.” With that I got up and left him standing in the middle of the bus, sometimes he just didn’t wanna get it…

Maya’s POV

Larry had checked on me right before the show of the guys and told me he wouldn’t be around this night, and if I needed anything before he left. I could convince him that I was feeling much better already and would be able to go outside a little, maybe even help Avery to get the booth packed up, even though I knew she didn’t really want to see me.

But I wanted to talk to her, apologize and tell her that I would keep a better eye on her the next time, and give Brian a hard time for her… just to be sure he knew not to play with my friends.
Shit, I fucked up as a friend, did I?
No wonder she was blaming me…

My little best friend wasn’t like me… I should have known better, but she told me she wanted to have fun, and she just needed a push… I hadn’t expected Brian to be that of an ass… leaving her in the middle of the night… not talking to her again…

I on the other hand didn’t expect anything more from a guy.
When I was at a party having fun with someone, I didn’t let myself get disappointed afterwards.
I didn’t have much people to count on and especially not on someone I was just having sex with and knew I wouldn’t see him again. That was just how this goes… I learned that right from the start, don’t count on people, they will just disappoint you, except for my Avery.

And another exception was when I had been with Jimmy, I knew I would probably not see him again, which was a little sad but that was just how life goes… but when I did see him again and we were still on the same level, I knew this wouldn’t just be about sex and slowly I got this feeling that I could actually count on him, as a friend…

“Hey” I heard a small voice behind me, just when I turned to leave and I smiled at Ave who stood a little uncertain on the steps.
“Hey…” So I heard correctly, I was thinking to hear her voice coming from outside, and I saw Jason just walk away, turning around a final time to look if Ave had vanished from his view.
I sighed loudly walking towards her and without giving her a chance to back out I hugged her close to me.

“I’m sorry, little one. Really sorry, can we make up, please… ” I whispered in her ear and heard her heavy intake of breathe.
“No… don’t be.. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped at you. It wasn’t your fault, that I was acting dumb.” Ave whispered back and I shook my head.

“Don’t blame yourself for something that ass did. I should have known better and warned you more, not pushed you to it. Can you forgive me?” I asked and Avery chuckled.
“Let’s not speak about it, right now okay… Are you feeling better by the way?” She pulled away from my hug and I frowned down on her.

“What? Oh… I’m feeling perfectly fine again… Sorry for leaving all the work to you today, I will make up for it, I promise… I… don’t really know if you wanna know where I have been but… it was spectacular.”

“Matt, huh?” Ave asked and I grinned “OH yeah…” I nodded, blushing at what we had done in the hotel room and what I wanted to do again and again with him
“Tell me about it.” Ave asked “I wanna hear if it was really worth me working alone.”
I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards our bed room sitting with her on the bed and that smile just wouldn’t leave my face.

“He took me on a date… we went-” I started but Avery interrupted me “A date? Like a real date? Since when are you doing dates?” She asked eyes opened wide and I rolled my eyes.

“It was not really…” I thought about it, okay fine it was a real date and it had been awesome. “Yeah, doesn’t matter…he took me out because he won a game we played… I had to promise him that I would go on a date with him so I did… and it was amazing…” I told Avery everything about the date and what we had been doing, sometimes she laughed and shook her head and in the end she held her hands to her ears singing loudly so she wouldn’t hear me and I laughed, pulling her hands away.

“He got under your skin, huh?” Avery asked finally.
“What? No… well… maybe a little. But now tell me how was your morning? Did you have a nice time with Zack, Jason and Daddy?” I asked her and she rolled her eyes.

“It was okay… but we should better get ready now, because we will be picked up for the party in about 40 minutes.” Avery pointed to the clock and I frowned, who would be picking us up and who could convince Ave to go to the party.

Avery got up and wanted to move to the bathroom but I pulled her back to me “Wait, I really want you to know that I’m sorry. If you want me to keep him away from you, I will. I got my tricks, you don’t have to worry, one word and I’m on it.” I winked at her and Ave chuckled.
“Thanks, sweetie. Don’t worry, we are good. If you just have your fun and warn me if you see him coming my way I’m totally fine, I won’t stay long at the party anyway.”

“How come?” I looked at her questioningly and she smiled “Jason convinced me to come for a bit and have a drink, after that we will watch some movies and make drinks here at the bus, you can join, but I guess you have better things to do?” She winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

“I think I can combine both things, if you want me to join?” I asked and Avery nodded “Sure, but now let me finally show you my purchases. I need your opinion on this, you know I hate to go shopping without you.” Avery got up and pulled a shopping back from beside the bed.
She pulled a gorgeous red dress out, it looked like it was made as second skin, ending mid-thigh and just amazing.

“You will look fabulous in that, sweetie.” I didn’t know Avery would like such a color, but it was just an amazing dress.
“Don’t play dumb, Maya. This is yours, as if I would run around in a bright red dress. You will be the eye catcher.” I looked at her and the dress mouth hanging open.
“Are you kidding me? This is for me? Damn, Ave… this is..” I trailed off.

“Perfectly fitting for you.” She smiled and I hugged her to me “You are the best friend anyone can have, you know that right? Now show me what you got!? Can I make your hair and make-up? Please, I wanna style you up so bad that all the guys will only have eyes for you… will you? Let me? Pleassssee!” I begged and Avery rolled her eyes.

“As if I ever had a chance against you… now look at what I got.” She pulled out two more dresses one in the exact color of her beautiful blue eyes with a slit at the side showing more thigh, and the other was a dark grey dress, with her back free, only covered with lace and some cut outs in the front showing of some skin on her sides also covered with lace, and I had to say, that was it.

“Wow…” That’s all what I could tell, if Brian would see her in this dress, it would bit him in the ass so bad for treating her this way, because all of the guys on the party would be after my best friends hot ass.

“You like it? I wasn’t sure if it was-” She stopped looking at me with hope.
“No, I don’t like it” Avery’s face fell, she loved the dress nearly as much as I did I could see it on her face.
“I love it, you will look so hot, the guys will fall to their knees before you, believe me… and I’ll put some nice make-up on, giving you the finishing touch.”

Said and done we were both ready when the bus door opened and Jason walked in, he stopped dead in his tracks and his eyes landed shortly on me but then moved to Avery and stayed there, he opened his mouth but nothing came out.
He turned around and walked out of the bus, closing the door and I looked at Avery frowning, then Jason walked back in looking still shocked.

“What are you doing?” I asked half laughing. “I just checked if I was in the right bus, cause I think I went to the model bus and not to our roadie bus… I mean… fucking hell… I feel the extreme need to get dressed up and take you out to dinner and not to some… after party thing.” Jason said and both Avery and I chuckled at this.

I opened my mouth to answer when the door opened again and Jimmy jumped up behind Jason “I told you to freaking wait for… hello beautiful… I think I came just at the right time.” Jimmy pushed Jason aside, and took Avery’s hand kissing her knuckles with a wink and then just pecked my lips and pulled me into his side.

“Are you ready to go, because I can tell you, we will be the kings of the night that is sure now.” Jimmy announced and Avery frowned, and I saw Jason walking up to her giving her a kiss to the cheek before holding his arm out for her to hook into.

“How come?” I asked and Jimmy lifted an eyebrow at me, then turned to Jason and it looked like they were having a silent conversation.
“Well, if we show up at the party, with the two hottest chicks in the universe, how could we not be the kings, duh?” Jimmy answered and I grinned, giving his butt a little squeeze making him jump.

“You still owe me some time, Miss” Jimmy said while leading me to the party.
“Is that so?” I asked him and he nodded “Yup, I need my fair share of Knife Girl, I saved your ass when Larry arrived.” And he was right with that.

“Maybe you can tell me how I can make it up to you.” I winked at him and he chuckled.
“Don’t let Shadz, hear that.” And my heart was beating faster at the mentioning of his name, we haven’t talked about tonight, would he also be at the party?

Brian’s POV

I drank my beer and talked to Matt and Johnny at the party, it wasn’t much going on the music was not loud yet so there was still the possibility to talk.
“Good show, right?” Johnny said and I nodded. “Yeah, kids went crazy.”
“I saw this hot number in the crowd, will meet her later…” Johnny grinned and I nodded approvingly at him.

“Don’t miss her then, about time you get laid.” Johnny rolled his eyes and punched my arm playfully.
“Talking about laid, can you wipe that stupid grin of your face, Shadz.” I told him and knew that this had something to do with Avery’s friend.

“Huh? I have no idea what you mean” Matt said chuckling and he had been this way, since right after he came back from wherever he had been with Maya.

“Right.. so how was she?” I asked and Matt shook his head smiling.
“Yeah, give us some details… worth it?” Johnny nodded and shrugged “I will tell you after the next few times, because I didn’t get enough, that’s what I can tell you… everything else is my secret, a gentleman doesn’t kiss and tell.”

“Where is he?” Johnny looked around and Matt frowned “Who?”
“The gentleman. I just see you two fuckers here.” Johnny said and laughed loudly and Matt just gave him a good shove and Johnny stumbled into a group of people, quickly apologizing pointing to Matt and me, but they thought better of starting a fight.

“Fuck…” Johnny walked back looking annoyed “Stop that, don’t always shove me into strangers.”
“Then stop your dumb jokes.” Matt grinned and suddenly the grin fell from his face and I frowned seeing his mouth hanging open while I took a big gulp from my beer turning into the direction he was looking at.

And I nearly spit the whole beer from my mouth at Johnny seeing who just arrived and how they looked, Avery together with Jason, he had his arm around her waist and she laughed up to him at something he said and next to them Jimmy and Maya, his arm also around her waist and hers around his.
It felt like every single party guest was now looking at the new arrivers and I could hear them talk about the hot chicks coming in… and I knew god damn… Avery looked so hot, I saw her naked but in this dress… I just wanted to pull it up and plung into her… mark her as mine and… what the hell was I thinking right now?!

I swallowed thickly and tried to catch Avery’s eye through the room but she wouldn’t look at me, “What the hell…” Matt sounded not too happy about what he saw.
“Your date wasn’t as good as it seemed?” I asked with a smirk and Matt balled his hands to fists “Fuck off.”

He downed his beer and walked across the room towards the group, Maya let go of Jimmy and greeted him with a kiss to the cheek, which didn’t seem to make Matt’s mode any better…
I thought about walking towards them as well and when I made a step forward I felt a hand on my wrist “I wouldn’t do that.” Zack’s voice sounded beside me.
“Why? My friends are over there…” I said pointing with my head in the direction of the others.
“Well, yeah.. but I bet one of them doesn’t wanna see you right now, Brian.” Zack said and I narrowed my eyes.

He was pissing me off since this morning, where he left together with Avery and Jason. “And what are you now? Her new protector? Or you wanna get laid so bad?” I snapped and Zack rolled his eyes.
“Are you jealous? Green doesn’t suit you, Haner.” Zack said and I swallowed thickly.
“I’m not jealous… I don’t care… do whatever you want.” With that I left him standing there and moved over the room into another direction getting myself more drinks…

But still I kept my eyes on the other group, seeing Matt and Maya dance and how Jason and Zack were trying to get Avery also on the dance floor, Jimmy dancing alone all by himself, and that guy… he was just fucking hilarious, but then my eyes went to Avery again, how Zack succeeded in dragging her to the dance floor and swung her around easily and for a short moment I wished I would be doing that but I quickly shook my head, why would I want that.. I had her.. she was nothing special, right?!

But the closer I got towards her and I seemed not able to stay away, I realized just how breathtaking she looked, her make-up was perfect, dark smoky eyes and that dress, revealing skin on her back and sides making me want to lick that skin and nibble on her, make her scream again…

Fuck, I need a cigarette… I walked outside and took my time, I walked around the venue for a bit to clear my head, after a while I saw Matt crossing my way.

“Gates, did you see Maya somewhere?” He asked looking around confused.
“No, why?” I asked but he already kept on walking.
“Is she not at the party?” I jogged up to him and he shook his head “No, she, Avery, Jason… gone.”
“Jimmy?” I asked but I guessed the answer already.
“Gone.” Matt grumbled under his breath.

Avery and Jason gone… and Jimmy and Maya… I didn’t like the sound of that, Jason had been on Avery’s ass all day, maybe he thought I didn’t see him but I did, and the way he looked at her… I didn’t like that one bit…

“Let’s search for them.” I said finally and maybe I could crash a party Jason planned on having.
I earned a frown from Matt but he shrugged and we went towards our bus, but it was empty so we went to the roadie bus hearing laughter and talking coming from inside…

“What the fuck?” Matt asked opening the door and I knew I might not be wanted here but I had to find out what was going on… and Matt seemed as determined.
