I took in a shaky breath and looked over at the table of food. He had really gone out of his way to make me happy and that wasn’t something that I could easily ignore. Once Jimbo was out of sigh, I put my arm around Maya and pulled her into my side. “So did you decide to dress up for me tonight?” I teased, receiving an eye roll. “I like it.”

“Wouldn’t you like to know,” she said with a light chuckle. “Silly me I thought we were going to have a date tonight.”

I smirked and nodded my head: so she hadn’t forgotten. Perfect. “That’s actually what I came to talk to you about. I was thinking I’d take you out somewhere nice before the show. “That would be nice…but I’ve already got plans.” What did she mean she already had plans? With who?

I gapped at her for a minute before she burst out laughing. “What are you flustered?” Her laugh was like music to my ears. “Jealous?”
