The next morning I woke up, thirsty, but not for water. For cocaine. It was one of the worst feeling I experienced all over my body. I really felt like it was going to be a really bad day.

I hurried up downstairs to smoke. Suzy and my dad were sitting onto the couch, I heard my dad saying something to me but I ignored it. I smoked fast and entered back into the house. My dad smiled to me. I didn't reply I just ran to the stairs.

"Brian, we're going soon, we're already late. Get yourself ready." He said as he stopped me from going upstairs again.

"Where? Where do you want me to go?" I said a bit rudly, not even realizing it.

"You don't remember? Hayley's moving in today."

Oh yeah right, I totally forgot. I would have to carry fucking heavy object with skinny drug addict muscles. I didn't argue with my dad and just made myself ready. We headed to Hayley's new appartment. All the A7x crew were already there, my dad and I were the last one to arrive. The first one we saw was this Paul dude, that dude I didn't really appreciate so much.

"Hey Syn! I'm happy to see you again!" He said as he went to shake my hand. I ignored it and said.

"My name is Brian, by the way." I said quite rudly, my dad punched me in the ribs with his elbow. I knew what I answered wasn't really nice but I couldn't hide how I felt on that day. My dad reached his hand and smiled.

"I don't want you to ruin this again! This is important for Hayley, please do this for her this time." He entered in the living room and left me alone with myself. The last sentence he said affected me pretty badly. I want to do everything for her.. I entered in the living room and saw her instantly, she was smiling, she was happy. She was busy with some cardboard boxes. I noticed instantly the bracelet I gave her just a bit before she left me around her wrist, the leather was in pretty bad shape which meant she wore it a lot. Her eyes connected with mine, making my heart skip a beat and making me go back to reality.

"Brian! I'm so happy you came!" she said as left the cardboard boxes to hug me. I hugged her back and smelled the fresh sent of her hair. A second ago, I felt like shit but I felt like in heaven now. "Come! I'll show you the place." She said as she broke the embrace, she took my hand and dragged me to the kitchen.

"Look at the view." She showed me the view from her balcony. She was at the highest from the building. The view was straight on the city. It was beautiful to be honest, breathtaking. I just looked at it without saying a word. Her gorgeous smile was still stamped to her face. There was this song from Milky Chance if I remembered that was playing in the background.

We need to fetch back the time, they have stolen from us.

The last time I saw her happy was when we started dating.

Come upstairs, I'll show you the room."

She grabbed my hand again and grabbed me upstairs. She looked like a teenager, like when we were teenagers. Everything was going so fast I didn't even have time to realize that we were about 7 other people in the appartment. It felt just like me and her. She opened the door. It was a very cozy room, very romantic, the walls were a dark brown with few light accessories, there was a gigantic bed surrounded by cardboard boxes.

"This is definitely my favorite room, it's not done of course but I fell in love with it already.." She calmly aid as she sat on the bed.

"That's really nice Hayley, I'm glad you found your little peace of heaven."

I instantly realized that I wasn't going to be a part of that piece of heaven.. My emotions were like a roller coaster ride. A wall just fell in front of my face. She patted the spot next to her so that I could sit next to her. I sat down, she turned herself to me.

"How are you feeling?" She asked me. I knew exactly what she was talking about.
"Saying I'm fine would be a lie. I feel like a living crap." I said.

"I know exactly what you are going through, there's nothing you can do about it really, you just have to let the time pass..." she said as she placed her hand on my lap. "I want you to know that I'm really proud of you..." I just nodded and smiled softly. " I can offer you some painkillers if you want."

"Yeah, that would be awesome, thanks." I jut answered I really needed it on that moment.

"Ok, wait a second, it's in a box somewhere in my bathroom." She said as she stood up and went straight to the bathroom connected to the room. The door was open and I could see everything from where I was sitting. She was looking inside a box on the counter when accidently made one fall on the ground. She instantly squatted down to take care of the mess. I stood up.

"Wait, let me help you.."

"NO! Stay sitting, it's good I take care of it." She tried to hurry hiding what was on the floor. It looked like magazines. I instantly thought some pornos.

"You don't have to be ashamed of some po.."

But as I was getting closer I noticed these magazines where not pornos, there was my face all over them. She sighed and took everything out of my sight.

"What's that?" I just asked.

"Nothing important" She said through her shaky voice as she turned her back to me with her magazine in her arms.

"Why did you keep all these old magazines with my face on them?" I asked softly, I needed to know. I came closer to her and looked over her shoulder. She had the magazines clenched to her heart. She was crying. I took her arms and forced her to look at me. For the first time since she was back into my life, she was the weakest and I was the strongest. I took her face into my hands and asked.

"Why?"

She looked into my eyes and sobbed.

"It was the only.. The only way I could stay close to you."

I didn't hesitate for a second I had to kiss her. So I did, she didn't refuse. I felt like a teen again.
