Denial

Zack let his hand wander over his wife's back, causing goosebumps wherever his calloused fingers touched her skin. He had been awake for a little while now, it was the same after every show. He would wake up early, no matter how long they'd had partied the night before, and totally crash again late morning, early afternoon. When they were on tour he would go for a run, but now he was home, he had his mind set on a different start of the day.

Mia had her cheek pushed into the pillow, sleeping on her stomach. A content smile was gracing her face and Zack couldn't believe how much he loved her. It never changed since the first day he met her, the butterflies were still there when he saw her when he came back after tour. No matter how long they had been apart, a week or months, he was always excited to get home to her.

He noticed her breaths not being even anymore, but she didn't open her eyes. Zack shifted in the bed and kissed the naked shoulder blades of the woman next to him. He placed his body over hers, and kissed his way down her spine, removing the sheet as he worshipped the skin of her body.

"Zack..." Mia sighed his name as she moved her body to turn around, but he wouldn't let her. He pressed his body closer to hers, letting her feel just how happy he was to wake up next to her.

“I’ve been neglecting you since I’ve been home” he whispered to her skin. Mia smiled at the husky voice of her husband. She was never short of his attention, but didn’t object to him making up for something he didn’t even do wrong in the first place. Just as long as he kept doing what he was doing to her body right now.

She felt him lay down next to her and she turned around to face him, finally opening her eyes.
“Goodmorning” she whispered softly, drowning in those amazing green eyes of his, eyes she missed the most when he wasn’t with her.
“Goodmorning, sleep well?” Zack didn’t wait for her answer, but immediately put his lips to hers, lazily kissing her, their lips moving perfectly in sync. He pulled her even closer, hugging her tightly to his body while he let his tongue find an entrance. Mia sighed as he entered her mouth, their kisses sweet at first, but quickly growing more and more hungry. She weaved her fingers in his hair, tugging him to her.

Zack´s hands found their way down Mia´s body, grabbing her ass cheeks as soon as he reached them, making her squeal in surprise.
“OH!” she giggled, meeting his twinkling eyes.
“You like that huh?” Zack smirked “You will like this even more” his hands made their way between their bodies, teasing her thighs, creeping higher and higher until he found Mia’s sensitive flesh. His finger slowly went up and down, finding Mia’s entrance wet and ready for him. He let his finger slide in, lazily moving it in and out, curling it just the way he knew she like it. Mia’s breaths got higher and faster.

“More…. Zack… Please…” she begged, breathless, leaning her head against his chest.
“You would want that huh?” his voice sounding cocky now.
“Are you pulling a Brian on me?” Mia chuckled, making Zack snap his eyes at her.
“What is Brian doing in our bed?”
“You just sounded as cocky as he always is. Calling it a Brian seemed fit” Mia smartly replied.

“Oh… you!” He let his mouth crash down on hers as he plunged a second finger in, causing Mia to gasp for air “I will show you why I was being cocky, and believe me… Brian has nothing to do with it” he breathed to her. With a quick move Zack had placed himself on top of his wife, pounding his cock into her hot entrance.

His first few thrusts were hard and fast, but he soon slowed down to a tormenting pace, rocking his hips back and forth. They had all the time in the world and he would be sure to use it. He would make slow love to the woman that deserved everything he could give, and in the meantime, he would make her completely crazy.

With the slow movements Mia was indeed going out of her mind, but he soon realized he had made his own bed. His resolutions were fading away certainly with every little moan that escaped Mia’s lips.

“Oh shit Mia…” he groaned when she started moving up her hips, meeting his thrusts, trying to make him go faster, trying to create that additional friction she needed so badly. When he looked down at her, he froze and took in the sight. He still sometimes couldn’t believe she was his, even though they had been married for several years now.

“Are you aiming for a divorce, because I’m sure you aren’t aiming for anything else?” Zack looked at her confused, so zoned out that he was completely unaware of what she meant with her words.
Mia cocked her brow as she wiggled against their joined hips and groaned when he still didn’t do as she wanted.
“ZACK, I swear to God! If you won’t start moving any time soon I will really divorce your sorry ass and take you on for everything you fucking own!!!”
He chuckled and kissed her softly “Everything WE own sweetie… and be honest.. You can’t live without me”. Zack stared into Mia’s eyes and she stared back as they slowly picked up the rhythm of their lovemaking again. They got lost into each other as they both headed for their climax.

Only a few moments later Mia came to her high screaming Zack’s name, while Zack spilled all he had into her. They were both out of breath when they snuggled to each other.
“I love you so much” Mia said “It scares me sometimes”
Zack forced Mia to look up to him “Where did that come from?”
She shrugged “I don’t know. It’s just… Now I got you back here for a few days, I sometimes feel so overwhelmed. I mean…. Look at Johnny, it’s so easy to get hurt, but so hard to recover from it”
Zack didn’t even think about what she said, but just kissed her with all the love he had in him.
“Mia, I love you, I love you even more than I love myself. You know… that thing we talked about? Are we still on?”
Mia nodded shyly
“I think this was it babe, I really do”

The intense stare they got caught up in was interrupted by the buzzing of a phone.
“Zack! No phones in the bedroom!”
“I’m sorry babe, I didn’t think about it anymore yesterday, just ignore it” He stroke her hair with on hand, and let their intertwined fingers twirl around on his chest.
The buzzing stopped, but immediately started again.
“Pick it up, it must be important” Mia kissed his hand.
“No, it will stop” Zack was determined to make this moment for the both of them last, he wasn’t ready to let anything else in yet.

The phone did stop, but then they heard ‘Unholy Confessions’ blaring from the living room.

“It’s one of the guys Zack, it must be something that can’t wait, seeing they are calling me now to get to you”
Zack sighed and jumped out of bed, grabbing his phone from his pocket, quickly getting back into bed.

“Who is it?”
Zack pushed a few buttons and then called the last one that called him, putting him on speaker. It was Johnny.
“Christ, you better have a damn good reason for interrupting my morning. Now we are home I don’t have to see your ugly face or hear your voice everyday”
Johnny went completely passed Zack’s insults and got to the point right away.
“I’m not calling for you, I needed Mia. I tried to call her several times, but she doesn’t pick up”
“Of course she’s not short shit! What do you need my wife for? She is not really available at the moment”

“Oh” Johnny’s voice sounded disappointed and Mia punched Zack’s shoulder, grabbing his phone out of his hand, taking him of speaker. She slid on a robe and put the phone between her shoulder and her cheek to tie it up.
“I’m here, what’s going on?”
“I need to talk to someone, I was hoping I could take you up on your offer?” He sounded hesitant and Mia instantly felt for him.
“Of course you can. You want to come by later?” She asked him, friendly.
“Uh… I’m kinda in front of your house already”

Mia moved away the curtain a little to see Johnny leaning against his car, carefully waving at her.
“Wait, I’ll send Zack down so I can get ready. See you in a bit”
She hung up and threw the phone back at Zack “Go open the door, make some coffee. I’m taking a quick shower, I will be right there”
“But….” Zack started a protest.
“No buts, our friend needs us. Now go let him in!” She pushed Zack out of the room, while she rushed into the bathroom.

Zack gave his friend a hard time while Mia was getting ready, but he didn’t really mean anything he said. He could see that his friend really needed them and he was wondering what would be going on. Could it have something to do with the girl yesterday? Would she really have gotten to the unreachable Johnny?

“Hey! Two handsome men in my kitchen, must be my lucky morning!”
Mia leaped down the last few steps of the stairs, kissed Johnny’s cheek and found her place at Zack’s side.
The men smiled at her, and Zack let go of her for a bit to make her coffee, the way he was best at. Mia closed her hands around the cup and enjoyed the smell and after a sip she moaned a little as she closed her eyes “I think I miss this the most when you are not home, you are the only one who makes this perfect”
She looked up to Zack, who had a fake offended look on his face “That’s the only reason you like having me at home?”
“Hmmm, I might like other bits too” She smiled up to him while he bent down to kiss her softly, brushing her hair out of her face.

A scraping of a throat got them out of their little moment.
“Oh! Sorry Johnny!” Mia apologized, blushing. Johnny looked uncomfortable. A quick glance between husband and wife, forced Zack to excuse himself.
“I have some VU stuff to do, behave Christ!” He winked at his friend as he left the room.

“Are you coming outside? The weather is great, let’s enjoy it a little” Mia filled up both cups again, grabbed a bag of cookies and walked outside, knowing the man would follow her. She settled in her favorite spot and waited for Johnny to join her.

Johnny fell down next to her with a deep sigh. It was only now that Mia noticed the dark circles around his eyes.
“Didn’t sleep too well I assume?” she looked at him sideways, but he just stared ahead.
“Nah”
The single word reply set the silence between them, it was comfortable, but Mia knew she would have to push him to spill what had been bothering him.

“So… you got me out of a very enjoyable morning with my husband to only say ‘Nah’?” Mia teased, pushed her shoulder to Johnny’s.
For a moment he looked at her annoyed, and moved to get up again.
“Oh no you are not” Mia pulled him back next to her “Start talking short one”
Johnny shot her an angry look and then turned to stare into the garden again.
“Well??”

Johnny fumbled with his hands before he finally started to speak.
“It wasn’t planned. Why does Izzie have to butt in to fucking everything? I wasn’t ready. This shouldn’t have happened. It was not how it was supposed to go”
Mia smiled as she heard Johnny ramble on and only opened her mouth when he finally fell silent again,
“What wasn’t planned? You weren’t ready for what?”
“All of this! Meeting new people, meeting a girl!” Johnny had gotten up from his seat and started pacing in front of Mia, who leaned forward and observed his posture.
“Johnny, slow down.. look at me…”
He stop right in front of her and looked down on her. She got up to look him in his eyes, seeing all the fear he had in them.
“You like her don’t you?”
“Yes”
“More than you would want, right?”
Another “Yes” escaped Johnny’s lips.
“And you think you will get hurt again?”
A very quiet and barely noticeable “Yes”

Mia put her hands on his shoulders and forced him with her eyes to focus only on her.
“She like you J. I saw how she looked at you, and I noticed how you look at her too. Maybe this is it… that special thing… that one thing we are all looking for. Maybe J. But you won’t know until you try.” ‘
Johnny averted his eyes and sat down again.
“Just take it easy, you don’t have to marry her tomorrow” Mia teased as she put her arm around the man that was having a sad look on his face.
“What if she is just like…” Mia didn’t let him finish his sentence.
“She isn’t. I got to talk to her a little yesterday and Izzie knows her pretty well. She is a really nice person. And even though Izzie needs to stick her nose into everything, she loves you and she just wants to make sure you are happy”
Johnny seemed to think about that for a minute and then nodded. A slight smile forming on his face.
“You are right. At least I will have gained a friend, right?” He slowly got up and headed inside the house, followed by Mia.

“I will be heading out, give you and Zack some time to get to know each other again” He winked, then grabbed his carkeys and phone and made his way through the front door. Him and Mia said goodbye and he walked over to his car, checking his phone in the mean time.
Mia saw Johnny form a frown and called after him “J man! It will be okay, you will have an amazing night, I just know! Have a little faith!”
Johnny turned to her, his face disappointed and Mia’s heart fell as he held up the phone.
“I will have a Fucking great night…. By myself! She just cancelled on me!” And with those last words he got in the car and sped away.

Zack came jogging down the stairs and found his wife’s angry face.
“How dares she! First saying yes, making him all happy and then cancel?! This is fucking ridiculous”
“Babe?” Zack didn’t get where the anger came from and looked confused at how Mia grabbed her phone and hit the speeddial button.

“Iz! We need to talk, I’m coming over” she barked into the phone and grabbed her keys.
“I won’t be long, you take a nap and be ready when I get back” Mia kissed Zack briefly and then stormed over to Izzie and Matt’s house. If Izzie wanted to meddle that badly she was going to fix this too!
