Hush, be careful of what you say

Arin POV

“Hahaha! No you didn’t! You know, you’re one dirty girl huh?! The good kind of dirty girl though” I say over the laptop. Right now I’m in a video chat with Niall. Even though in England it’s in the afternoon, we still manage to find a way to communicate. One way or another.
“Oh come on Arin. Don’t tell me you don’t like that, not one bit!” she replies seductively, as she leans forward to her laptop, her cleavage easily noticeable.
“I didn’t say that Niall” I put up my hands in protest.
“So?! And you have to bear with me, that moment I was thinking of you and I got a tad hot in the library”
Right now I can feel my cock twitching in my pants: visualizing Niall playing with herself in a library after having read some of my dirty texts that I have sent her before is more than hot.
“Arin?”
“Huh?” I noticed her face on the laptop staring at me.
“You are so busted! You’re thinking about what I did in the library!” she says as she chuckles seductively.
“Maybe” I wink at her as she flashes her perfect smile at me.

“Anyways, enough about dirty talk and dirty thoughts. How did your audition with the band go?! I haven’t got the time to ask you before!” she says excitedly.
“Well, the audition went perfect! I did great and the band even hired me to play with them as part of the band!” I admit to her. Then I remember how the night had ended a couple of hours ago…Brian fighting after he had admitted that he doesn’t feel comfortable having me included in the band.
“What happened Arin?” Niall asks me.
“What do you mean? I just told you, I did great in audition. I’m not lying!” and I’m being honest, obviously! I killed that audition!
“I know, and I believe you. But you’re not telling me everything. Something else happened….you don’t seem convinced, like you’re unsure of something. So, spill mister!” she says as she points her finger at me. Fuck, sometimes I regret that I let her get to know me this well!
“So?!” she insists one more time.

“Let’s just say that last night we were having a party at Matt’s house, the singer of the band. And I ended up in a fight with the lead guitarist”
She stares blankly through the laptop, taking it as that she isn’t believing what I just have told her.
“Say that again Arin…please” she says slowly.
“I got in a fight. He started it actually, cos he doesn’t want me in the band”
“How come he doesn’t want you? You’re a fucking great drummer, it will be their loss not to have you!” Niall says as she adjusts herself on the bed, getting angrier by the time. I gotta love her.
“Well, I know that he’s an ass, but the truth is that he is reacting this way because he misses his best friend aka the drummer. And apparently he’s not ready for a new drummer in the band” I explain everything to Niall to keep her in the loop.
“Now this is a different situation. Nonetheless, he shouldn’t treat you like that! And what did the other members say or do?”
“Well, they were quite supportive of me. But I don’t know what happened afterwards cos I decided to leave them alone to discuss this issue between them”
“And you did well Arin. I’m proud and if I weren’t you I wouldn’t worry much over this!” Niall assures me as she flashes her smile another time.

My phone starts ringing so, quickly I get out the phone and keep staring at it.
“What now? It’s like you have ‘death’ calling you right now” Niall bursts out laughing while I flip her off.
“It’s Matt, the singer” I explain to Niall.
“Well what are you waiting for? Get the call, goddamn it!” she tells me excitedly. And I obey her.

“Hey man”
“Hey Arin, how you’re doing? Cooled down a bit from earlier on?” Matt asks.
“Oh yeah don’t worry. I’m fine really” I tell him for the millionth time.
“Listen I am truly sorry for what happened. But you know, Gates can be….well, Gates. He’s a bit of a complication and until he gets used to you it can be a bit of an issue” Matt explains to me. Well, fucking great!
“That is why I left you, so that you’ll discuss this issue between the four of you. First you need to settle this between you before we start something”
“Well, that is what I called you for” Matt says, sounding a bit worried if you ask me.
“I’m all ears dude” I assure him.
“I got a call a couple of hours ago, and they told me we have to play a show for a charity event. I forgot that I have signed these papers so we have to play this gig. It’s a must you know?! And we, as a band, we want to know if you’re in! I mean, we need you that’s for sure, but we want to know if you’re up for it as well” he explains clearly.
“Of course I’m in Matt! You can count on me! But is Brian on board as well? As in, is he okay having me play with your band?” I have to make sure before I end up in another fight with Mr. Complicated.
“Oh yeah, he’s on board as well! We all want you to be part of it Arin, trust me!”

Hmm, that’s strange if you ask me. At least for Brian’s approval. First he starts a fight with me on how he doesn’t want me and the next minute he just agreed.
“Just one thing” Matt continues. I knew it. I knew that there had to be something else to this fairytale.
“The gig is in 2 days”
“You’re kidding me, right?” I tell over the phone as I’m laughing. When I realise that Matt is not laughing back I stop myself and stare blankly at Niall through the laptop, as she is reciprocating the expression.
“You’re not kidding Matt?”
“Nope kid, I’m not. It’s in two days!” he says another time.
“How the fuck am I going to be able to play the gig? It’s impossible!!” I tell him all nervous. It’s true that I know some songs by them, but not all! And I have to perfect my skills to play these songs!!
“Listen Arin, we believe in you! I believe that you’re going to give your all and try your best. That is all we need and that is what I’m asking for. Fuck the perfect performance, I’m mostly looking for determination, team effort and hard work. This is your time to truly show us how much you want to be part of Avenged Sevenfold. This is your time to show Brian that you deserve a place in the band and in our family, without letting one fucking person down. Perfecting the performance, creating new songs, we will get there by time. But for now I’m looking for something else. I want to see the drummer that is inside of you, the person that we had seen during the audition last time.”

Matt’s speech gave me goose bumps throughout. I want to be part of Avenged Sevenfold, I want to prove everyone that I deserve that place, especially to Brian. I want to start over and have a clean slate with him, and this may be the only time to be able to do so. Moreover, if I don’t agree I will be letting them down and there will be no way back. I fucking know that!
“So, what is your answer Arin?!” Matt asks me another time through the phone.
As I’m staring at the laptop screen at Niall, she gives me a reassuring expression. To go for it.

“When are we going to start rehearsals man? I will bring energy drinks with me for the next two days” I tell Matt.
“Correct answer” he says with a chuckle.
Let’s fucking do this!!
