There's Only You
Chapter 2
Emilia's POV
I left Renae alone at the VIP area as I walked over to the bar and took a seat. The bartender saw me and smiled, coming over to where I was. “Well hello Emi, it's been a while.”
I smiled and nodded. “Indeed it has been, Luke.” I literally knew almost every single person that worked at the club since I use to go here every Friday night just to have a good time. Since I've been busy with work, I haven't really had that much time to go anymore.
Before I moved to California, I was originally living in New Zealand when I was younger then my mom and dad had us move to Washington. I love my parents so much. But I felt the need to go venture out on my own. That's when I found out I had an aunt who lived in California and I've never been there before. So I went to visit her and that's when I met Renae when I went to a concert by myself for the first time. She was a really cool girl that liked a lot of the same stuff I liked. We were practically twins!
I snapped myself out of my thoughts as I told Luke what I wanted. “A Long Island iced tea and a rum & coke please.”
He nodded before he went to go make the drinks. I turned around and looked back to see what Renae was doing. I smiled when I saw the one person I invited that was there already talking to her.
Renae's POV
I looked over when I heard my name called and my eyes went wide to see who it was. “Kimberly?!”
She grinned and walked closer to me, giving me a big hug. She was wearing a strapless teal dress that came up to her knees with matching heels. She was carrying a box that had pink wrapping paper on it. I hugged her back in return as she handed me the gift and I set it on the table. “Heey girly! How you been? Long time no see.”
Oh yeah that's right, the last time I saw her was when she and Arin hung out with me...at the venue. I still tried to keep in touch with them but then I got so busy that I couldn't anymore. I did however sent them a lovely gift when they had gotten married (I wasn't able to make it). They were still in my thoughts and I love them both dearly.
I closed my eyes for a bit then opened them, looking at her. “It feels like eternity huh? Ha ha I've been well. Busy with work and stuff. Figuring out what to do next in life. What about you? Where's Arin?” She went and sat down next to me.
“He should be here shortly. I gave him a call as I was heading out when your friend Emilia texted me. She's a really nice girl.”
Ah yes, Arin. The last I heard was when Avenged Sevenfold announced that he was officially their new permanent drummer. I've met The Rev once when I saw A7X live during Warped Tour. He was such a nice guy. I was really sad when I found out he passed away.
I sat there thinking. “So Emi hacked onto my phone just to find your number eh? She's so crazy.” I laughed. She laughed also.
She turned her head and was scanning the crowd when she stopped and had a big smile on her face. “Awesome he's here! And he brought some friends too.” She says before standing up waving her hand in the air.
I looked over to see who she was waving to. Oh man Arin's here! My bff, my brother from another mother, my buddy I can lean onto during the worst times. He saw Kimberly waving when he was looking around and smiled. He was heading towards us and talking to someone. No wait, there were 3 someones. I felt a little giddy inside as I looked closely at who the other 3 people were. It was M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, and Zacky Vengeance!
My stare seems to linger more on Zacky though. I had a slight crush on him and thought he's an awesome guy...and gorgeous. Apparently Zacky seemed to have felt me staring at him. When he stopped talking to Arin and looked up at me, he looked like he just saw a ghost. Not sure if that was a good or bad thing but I just shrugged it off. They all had gifts in their hands. Arin with a blue one, Matt with a green one, Syn with a purple one, and Zacky with an orange and red stripped one.
Arin quickly came up to the VIP area and pulled me into a big hug. “Reeeenaae happy birthday! My little sis, my buddy, I missed you.”
I giggled and hugged him back. “Ariiiin! I missed you too bro.”
He let me go and sat down next to Kimberly. “Matt, Zacky, Brian, this is my best friend Renae. Ren, this is Matt, Brian, and Zacky. As you probably know already.” He laughed then winked at me. He knew I kinda had a thing for Zacky. I blushed then went over and shook their hands. They each handed me the gifts and I set them down on top of each other with Kimberly's gift.
“Nice to meet you guys.” I said to the 3 of them. When I went to go shake Zacky's hand, he held it for a minute before placing a kiss on it. I nearly melted.
Matt was the first to talk. “You too. Sorry we're missing a member. Johnny had to go with his wife Lacey to visit his in-laws.”
Arin nodded. “Yeah he'll be back next week. You'll get to meet him by then.” He says as he held Kimberly close to him and placed a kiss on her cheek. God they were so cute together it almost made me jealous. I remember having that feeling before. With he who shall be nameless for now.
Emi finally came back with mine and her drinks but then stopped as she saw who was at our table. “Holy shit, you guys are Avenged Sevenfold!” She nearly squealed but quickly calmed herself.
They all laughed, including me. “Sorry about that, just star struck right now. But wow, this is cool. I'm Emilia but you can call me Emi.” She says and shakes their hands. She shook Arin's hand last then gave Kimberly a hug.
“Nice to finally meet the infamous Ilejays! Ren has told me so much about you two. Especially you Arin.” She laughed.
Arin turned a slight shade of pink. “Oh I hope not everything. Too many embarrassing things that shouldn't be discussed.” He stuck his tongue out at me. Everyone laughed.
“Well since everyone's now here, I shall go back to the bar and get you guys your drinks.” As everyone told her what they wanted she nodded before heading back to the bar. “I'll come help you out.” Brian pipped in as he hurriedly followed after her to the bar.
We all sat there and talked about random stuff. Matt and Zacky had shared some interesting stories on what happened to them during their tour. One of them was that they tried to pull a prank on Arin by cutting his hair while he was asleep. Sadly that failed when he actually showed it off and everyone liked the style. I was thinking about opening the presents now but decided to do that when I got home. I finished my rum & coke before standing up. Time for me to have some fun.
“I'm going to go dance.” I said before I walked away from the VIP area. Talk Dirty To Me by Jason Derulo was playing as I stepped onto the dance floor. I started moving to the beat and just let go.
Emilia's POV
I was walked to the bar when I felt someone follow behind me. I looked back and saw that it was Brian. Synyster fucking Gates! I giggled to myself and sat down at the bar ordering more drinks.
Brian soon came up and sat down next to me. “Hey I thought I'd come and help you carry all the drinks.” I looked at him at the corner of my eye and nodded.
We both sat there in silence for a minute until slowly the drinks started coming by. He then spoke up. “So you've been at this club before?”
“Yeah I use to come here all the time. Well every Friday night anyway. What about you?” He shook his head. “My second time here. First was for Matt's birthday.”
I turned to him and smile. “That's cool.“ We began to talk about our lives and how much we loved music that we didn't even notice that Luke the bartender was already done making all the drinks. We both looked over and laughed before each of us grabbed a handful of drinks and slowly walked back to the VIP area. I then noticed Renae was gone. I looked towards the dance floor and saw her walk out there starting to dance.
Brian and I handed everyone their drinks. We were about to sit down when the table moved a little. Zacky had quickly chugged his drink before heading to the dance floor as well. Brian and I sat down. I grinned as I watched him walk over to where Renae was. Boy she's going to be thrilled seeing him there. Or scared like hell not knowing what to do next.
