Emilia's POV

I was sitting in the couch with a cup of tea. It was my day off today. Thinking back to what happened a few days ago, who knew I'd finally get my hands on that slut who Ben was dating. She deserved to be treated like trash because she is trash.

I stood up as I finished my tea and put the cup into the sink. I noticed Renae didn't come back from her date with Zacky last night so I thought she probably had spent the night at his place. I smirked. Oh I'm going to give her shit about it when she comes back. But all in love and fun.

I threw on a shirt and some shorts. I put on some running shoes and grabbed my phone and keys, heading out the door. I might as well go out for a little jog/walk to kill some time. I headed for the park and began to do my rounds.

It seemed like the park was pretty packed today. With other joggers as well as bicyclists and people with their kids. I decided to go take a break and grab a bite at the local cafe nearby.

I got a sandwich and a soda as I walked to a 1 person table next to the window and sat down. I couldn't stop thinking about Brian after our little hang out at the beach. It was just beautiful and romantic. He also said he will be going through a divorce with his soon to be ex-wife Michelle.

I felt bad for him. Dating a girl he knew for so long and then asking her to marry him. Only then realizing that maybe your feelings have changed for her and she's treating you like crap even before you realized your own feelings. That's a lot to take in.

What was I feeling? Was I really falling for this guy? We've only met a few days ago yet it's like I feel something there. I would love to date him but at the same time I'm scared. I wasn't sure if I was ready for that commitment just yet. But I also knew I couldn't just automatically jump into it. Need to give this some time.

As I finished up my lunch, I got up and walked back home. I got into the apartment and went to go take a shower. Crap, I was going out with Brian tonight! I took a quick shower and began to go through all my clothes.

Oh man what am I going to wear? I shouldn't worry too much since it's not really a date I'd think. Well...this is going to take a while.

Renae's POV

I woke up to find that Zacky wasn't next to me on the bed anymore. I opened the door only to be attacked by a cute little dog. He barked and was wagging his tail happily. I smiled and bent done petting him.

“Well aren't you a cutie.” I petted him some more before I walked down the stairs.

I started smelling delicious food. I looked towards the kitchen and stopped. Zacky was cooking from what it looked like pancakes and was wearing an apron that said 'Bite Me'. Oh the temptation is strong but I held back. We're not exactly dating yet and it'd be pretty awkward.

The little dog patted over up to Zacky in the kitchen and sat on the floor looking up at him as he cooked. Zacky looked down and smiled as he bent down and scratched behind his ears. As I was heading into the living room, the dog soon followed me and was wanting to play.

He picked up a ball with his mouth and came over to me, dropping it in front of me. I picked it up and threw it into the hall. He went after it. I plopped down on the couch and stared at the tv that stood nearby in front of me. Wow this thing was big.

Zacky must have known I was already there because he soon brought two plates of pancakes, eggs, and sausage over. Putting them on the coffee table. He went back into the kitchen and soon came back carrying two mugs of coffee. He handed me one of them.

“Thanks” I smiled and slowly took a sip. I stared at the food and sighed. Not sure if I was really hungry. After that nightmare, I kinda lost my appetite.

The dog soon walked over carrying the ball in his mouth. He set the ball down and jumped onto my lap, licking my face. “I see you've met Ichabod.” Zacky smirked. I looked down and smiled, petting the cute dog. He barked then jumped onto Zacky's lap sitting there.

“He's such a cool and cute dog.” I said taking another sip of my coffee.

“Well dig in, I made breakfast.” He said as he grabbed one plate. I grabbed the other and we started eating. This was nice. He actually made me breakfast! A girl can get use to this.

I took a bite out of my pancakes and went to go drink my coffee again. “So what happened last night? I came by your room and you were talking in your sleep...and crying.” He said then cleared his throat.

I put my coffee down and sighed. Should I tell him about the dream? Or should I tell him about what happened at the music store yesterday? We'll see how this plays out.

“I had a dream...about my ex...that scene...where I caught him...cheating on me...” My voice cracked. I really didn't want to talk about it. But if I didn't, it was going to keep eating at me.

I've had this dream before but that only started to happen when Ben just randomly called me out of nowhere. This was a year or so after the incident. Not sure how he had my number at the time but I didn't want to find out.

Zacky had fed the rest of his breakfast to Ichabod. Apparently he wasn't that hungry. He put the dog onto the floor and laid his plate onto the table. Then reached over and took my hand into his. “That must be hard having to relive that and wanting to push it out of your mind for good.”

He leaned forward and lightly kissed my cheek. “My ex-girlfriend has done that to me before. She played it off as she was drunk when it happened but I knew what I saw and she wasn't drunk.”

I nodded as I listened. So he's been through it too? Who would want to cheat on him? He's seems like an awesome guy who would treat a lady right.

As I took a bite out of the sausage then some eggs when I nearly choked as the question I knew was going to be asked just happened. “Why do you have a bruise on your face? Did you get into a fight?”

I stared down at the floor. I had a feeling if I were to tell him that he may try to find Ben and kick his ass. Well it's now or never.

“My ex came into the music store. With that chick he cheated on me with. I had bumped into him after passing by the bathrooms. We talked for a bit then not soon after, I heard a loud crash and his girlfriend had attacked Emi. So Emi and her were fighting. I walked over to them and tried to break it up only to have his girlfriend throw a punch at me.”

Slowly I looked backed up. Zacky had a look in his eyes. Like he didn't know whether to feel bad or to get angry and want to just hurt someone. He sighed and pulled me in, giving me a hug.

“I'm sorry that happened to you. I wish I was there to help you and protect you.” He whispered into my ear. That sent shivers down my spine.

We pulled As I got done eating, he took both mine & his plates, getting up and put them into the sink. I looked up at the clock. Shit I needed to get ready for work! I quickly ran upstairs and noticed my bra and dress was clean and folded on the bed.

Why did I not see that before? I pulled off the tank top and slipped on my bra. I pulled off the shorts and put on my red strapless dress. Throwing the top tank and shorts into the dirty laundry basket, I put my heels on and hurried down the stairs.

As I was about to head out the door, Zacky noticed and quickly got off the couch and walked over to me. “Where are you going?” I turned to look at him. “I have to get ready for work.” He nodded. I went to go out the door again but he pulled me towards him.

He put his lips onto mine and kissed me. I was stunned. I know we've shared a kiss before but wow. It seemed to have surprised me and I was getting addicted. I kissed him back. We almost got into making out but I pulled away. “Thanks for letting me stay over. I had an amazing time last night.” I looked into his eyes.

He smiled. “No problem. I had an amazing time too.” I tiptoed up to him and he met me halfway. I lightly kissed his lips again before walking out and over to the apartment. I looked back and he was waving at me. I waved back then went up the stairs.

I took my keys out and opened the door. I started hearing noises then someone cursing. I followed the noise and it lead me to Emi's room. I opened the door and there were clothes everywhere. “What the fuck happened here? It looks like a tornado just hit.” I smirked.

Emi came out of her closet and glared at me but then smiled. “I'm trying to look for an outfit to wear on my date with Brian.” She says and goes back to searching through.

“Oh really? So he asked you out? That's awesome! Wait...isn't he married though?” I asked with an arched eyebrow. Last I heard, he was still a married man. Then again, Zacky had told me he was soon going through a divorce. Emilia stopped what she was doing and looked at me, sighing.

“Yes he is. I'm not going to treat this like a date. More like a nice friendly night out.” She said and stood there for a minute before going back to doing what she was originally. I had a feeling she possibly did like him but I wasn't going to push it with her.

I left her to go do her own thing and walked into my room. I changed out of my dress and slipped into something casual. I had on a light blue empire waist shirt and denim skinny jeans. I put on some eyeliner and a neutral shade of eyeshadow, giving me that natural look. I put on some lip gloss and started braiding my hair. Emi stood in the door way.

“So what happened to you? I was expecting you to be back from your date but you didn't come back.” She folded her arms in front of her chest. “Oh sorry 'mum' I drank too much wine and didn't want to make it up the stairs.” She lightly hit my arm.

“Don't call me that. And I see. Soo you spent the night at Zacky's. Oh my goodness, you two did the dirty!” She grinned. My eyes grew wide and I laughed. “Noo we didn't. Although he was there comforting me when I was having a nightmare but that's it.”

Emi looked at me with concern. She knew what the nightmare was since I've had it before. “Well you should head out to work. You don't want to be late.” She hugged me one last time then walked out heading back to her room.

I walked down the stairs then stopped. I realized I had no one to take me to work. I would ask Emi but she's too busy trying to find an outfit. It was her day off and I didn't want to bother her.

I took out my phone and sent a text to Zacky.
'Hey can you give me a ride to work? I got no one to take me and Emi is too busy doing stuff.' I hit send.
I waited and a second later, he replied: 'Sure, I'll be over in a minute.'

As I got done reading the text, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and saw Zacky. He was wearing a Vengeance University t-shirt and dark blue denim jeans. He also wore black sneakers and had some ray ban sunglasses on. He lowered his sunglasses and did a cat whistle.

“For a lovely lady who's going to work, you look beautiful.” I blushed and he grinned. I grabbed my jacket and purse then closed the door. He put his arm out and I linked my arm with his as we walked down the stairs.

He walked over to his car and opened the passenger's side. I got in and he closed the door. He quickly went to the other side of the car and got in as well. He turned the car on and drove off. Hopefully he doesn't find out who my ex is. But I have a feeling that may change soon...

Arin's POV

I woke up back in my own house again. Johnny and I got pretty wasted and practically ate all the pizza Emi had ordered. So glad Matt picked us up and dropped us home. Kimberly literally had to help me inside. I love that girl. She has the patience of a saint to put up with me.

It was awesome to see Renae again. Haven't seen her since who knows how long. Felt like forever. Kimberly and I were there for her almost every single day when she had found out Ben had cheated on her.

I wanted to go find that dick head and kick his ass for hurting her. She's like a sister to me. Even when Kimberly was busy with stuff, I was always there for Renae. We've practically known each other since high school although it felt like we've known each other our whole lives.

I looked over and noticed Kimberly was gone. She probably had work today. I got up and changed into a white v-neck shirt and blue jeans with black vans. I fixed my hair a bit and grabbed my keys. I decided I was going to buy some McDonald's for lunch.

I locked up the house and got into my car, driving off. I went through the drive thru and ordered a big mac with large fries and a chocolate shake. I got Kimberly some chicken nuggets, fries, and a strawberry shake.

As I drove up to the first window to pay then waited for them to bring my food. I heard a guy and girl yelling at each other. I popped my head out of the window to see who it is. Oh great, it's that douche bag and the girl he cheated on Renae with.

I found out who she was when I've seen her backstage at a few of the Breaking Benjamin shows I went to with Renae. She wanted me to come along and I was happy to spend time with her. Still couldn't get over the fact that he cheated on her with that skank.

The cashier soon gave me the food I ordered and I double checked to make sure everything I got was in there. I gave the person the thumbs up and drove off.

As I was driving I noticed a car following me. I look in the rear view mirror and noticed it was the that douche bag again. What the fuck does he want now? I parked the car near the music store Renae and Emi work at. I turned off the car and waited. Ben parked behind my car and got out. He walked over and knocked. I rolled down my window.

“You need help with something?” I asked as I shoved a french fry in my mouth, eating it. Ben just stood there and smiled. “Actually yes. I was wondering if you can give this to Renae?” He took out a small box from his pocket. I raised my eyebrow. What's this guy thinking wanting to give her a gift?

I decided to get out of the car. “Listen buddy, what ever you're thinking she doesn't want to deal with you. She may have forgiven you but I haven't. You hurt Ren, my best friend, a girl who's like a sister to me. You broke her heart by cheating with that slut over there.” Rhiannon heard what I said from inside Ben's car and scoffed.

Ben took a step closer to me what came out of his mouth only I could hear. “I will find a way to take back what's mine. I may be with Rhiannon right now but once I have Renae back, I'm going to throw her away like trash.” He laughed.

I started getting angry. A guy who does that to a girl he use to date let alone a girl he's now dating should get his ass kicked. That is what I tend to do.

He may be bigger than me by a little bit but I didn't care. “Over my dead body she would ever get back with a loser like you!” I was heated.

My blood was boiling. This guy seems to not know when to back off. After all he has put her through, he still wanted her to be with him. Not ever in your life, buddy.

That's when it happened. It was so quick that I didn't see it. A fist was flying towards my face. It connected with my jaw and almost knocked me off my feet. Ben stared at me for a moment and it felt like I was seeing stars.

He dusted himself off and turned around, slowly walking back to his car. But this was just the beginning. I slowly stood up and ran over to him, jumping onto him and throwing my fist left and right. Apparently Renae was there and saw everything that happened because she and Zacky had ran over to us to break up the fight.

Another lovely chapter. With Some of Arin's POV too! I think when I'm done writing this and start a sequel to this story, there shall be more of Arin in it. Who knows. Also, who knew Ben would end up being a dirt bag. Anyway, please comment, subscribe, vote. I'll give you a cookie? lol :D
