We arrived in Huntington in the late afternoon. I was tried as hell after driving… since I wasn’t really used to any long distance drives, which was no wonder.

I looked at the car in front of me, knowing it was Jimmy, and he pulled towards the side in a nice neighborhood of beach houses.
I frowned, what does he want here?
I looked into the review mirror realizing Matt and Selena were also behind us, so we didn’t lose anyone in our little group driving action here.

Anyway, Jimmy should have guided us towards a hotel and not some friends house… what was this about!?

I stopped behind him and looked at Brian, he looked out of the window, curiously.
“Do you recognize something?” I asked and Brian finally turned towards me, “NO I was just admiring the houses. I mean wow, look at this… living here right at the beach, that is freaking awesome isn’t it?” He asked and opened the door, maybe Jimmy was right in the end guiding us here.

Brian looked as happy as I haven’t seen him in a while…

“So, this would be where we live… that my house actually.” Jimmy pointed to the nice house we stopped in front of.
“Zack and Johnny live only a couple of blocks away and Matt, lives down this street, and your house used to be next to his… if you remember?” Jimmy tried and Brian shook his head.

“Sorry, man… I just love the area and the houses, but nothing triggers it yet…” I shook my head and he nodded.
“Damn.. alright. We try again don’t worry.” Jimmy said and both Brian and I nodded.

“How about we all get back home. Matt could bring you two to the nearest hotel, and you can settle in, how about we meet back in 1 hour? We can pick you up and go to the famous and lovely Johnny’s Bar, that’s a thing you do remember right?” Zack asked and Brian nodded.
“Yeah, the Bar. That’s a thing I remember, I’d like that… what do you say, babe?” Brian turned to me and I nodded.
“Sounds like a plan, I could use a drink after this drive now anyway”

“Well, who doesn’t, right?” Jimmy grinned and held his fist out for me and I chuckled and bumped my knuckles to them while Brian gave us a weird look while shaking his head. “I don’t know what this is with the two of you, but I will keep my eye on it.”
He pointed from me to Jimmy and back.

“Okay, so let’s go.” Matt announced, while we all got back into our cars, Matt brought us to a small hotel not far from the main road and told us he would be picking us up again in an hour, Selena just gave us a small wave, apparently not planning to spend her nights alone in the hotel with us, but I couldn’t blame her…

She looked happy and so does Matt, she deserved to be happy and I wouldn’t get between it, and I would distract Brian enough that he wouldn’t ruin it as well.
