Selena’s POV

How could I be that dumb? I just fell for an idiot and spend years with him and now I let myself be fooled form another one…
He didn’t want to me with me again because of me, he just wanted information from me and all because I had been that dumb to throw myself at him and fall for his sexiness…

And why was Sam not picking up her damn phone!?!
I waited a moment in my hotel room, knowing Matt could see me when he walked outside, when I was sure the air was clear I grabbed my bag and handed my key of at the reception, paid my bill for the nights I stayed and went to my car.

When I drove off from the scene I sighed loudly, you should think I learned from the experience, but being so wrong yet again-

It took me not long to drive to Sam, but I was afraid just walking in on something I didn’t wanna see so I waited outside for a little, grabbing my phone and calling her again.
“Sorry, I would have called you back.” Sam’s voice sounded a little breathless and I regretted calling her.
“And why are you already calling me, how was the date?” She asked and I let out a frustrated growl.
“Shit, not good? What happened, a no show?” She asked on and I shook my head.
“I’m at your house, can I come in or is it a bad timing?” I asked quietly and I heard some rustling.
“Give us 5 minutes and I’ll be at the door.” Sam hung up and I had to smile, at least she had some fun as it seemed.

My phone buzzed again and I smiled, thinking it was Sam again but I saw Matt’s name.
No way, I didn’t wanna hear that. I clicked him away and turned it to mute, so no one was bothering me again for tonight.

I looked up and saw the door opening to an angry looking Brian and I cringed a little, he must be mad because I ruined his nice evening with Sam.
I got out of the car and he came walking towards me, taking the bag from my hand and I shrank a little away.

“Listen I’m sorry.. I just didn’t know where else to go, I would have waited if I knew that-” I rushed out but he stopped dead in his tracks turning towards me with a frown.
“What?” Brian asked still looking angry.
“I didn’t mean to interrupt anything between-” I started again and Brian’s features softened, he set the bag on the ground and took my shoulders in his hands, looking me in the eye.

“Why would you think I would be mad at you? I’m mad at that fucker that hurt you. My guess is that something must have happened because you are here now and not with him.” Brian said and he sounded honest.
“I.. yes.. It’sa little more complicated.” I said but he shook his head, letting go of me and started walking again.

“No matter what, he must be an ass. He shouldn’t treat my friend that way, period.” Sam stood in the doorway frowning looking at her phone.
“Someone is calling me, but I don’t know the number.”
I sighed, okay these guys were pretty serious about it, so I better put a good spin on the story so I was out of this.

“Don’t pick up. I know who that is and I need to tell you something first.” I said and took Sam and Brian’s hand leading them towards the couch, they sat down and I started pacing, well what way to explain this?

“I was with Matt… the guy from the gas station, remember?”I asked looking at them and they both nodded.
“Yes, and?” Brian asked looking confused “Why would he call Sam?”
“Wait, let me tell you something… so I am an idiot.. I thought he wanted to meet with me again, cause he liked me… and we could have some fun.. you know. But apparently, they just wanted me…” Sam held her hand up.

“They? Selly you scare me, what’s going on.” She asked her face full of concern, Brian seemed to sense it too and laid his arm around her shoulder.
“If you would let me finish I would come to that point. So I was with him, in his hotel and I saw his picture there, with him and his 4 friends.”
“Why is he carrying a picture with him and four guys around? That’s a little sick, right?” Brian asked on a chuckle and I rolled my eyes.
“The point is, he asked me if I would know one of the guys on the picture.” I said and saw both Sam’s and Brian’s head snap up.

“What? How should you know them?” Sam asked and I shook my head.
“Well, that’s what I thought to but in the end… I did know one of the guys, he looked a little younger, but I was sure that it was him...” I said and looked at Brian.
“That one guy on the picture, it was you Brian.”

Matt’s POV

I walked back to my hotel room and wanted to punch a wall, why did they storm into the room.
I could have managed this better without them and now?

Now, Selena was gone and I bet she wouldn’t want to see me ever again.
She thought I really was just seeing her because I wanted to know about her friend, and I did, but the difference was that I wanted to see her, and spend more time with her…

Fuck!

“Sorry, dude… We just..” Jimmy clapped my back and I shoved him away “Couldn’t you wait a little longer, I was already on it, okay.”
“Don’t be such a pussy, Sanders.” Zack shook his head and maybe I didn’t need a wall to punch a friend would do just fine.
“The line is nearly crossed, Baker.” I got into his face and he rolled his eyes.
“If we call her friend, what do you think where we can find her? You can talk to her again, while we manage the thing with that other dude, easy as that. If you would think with your brain and not your dick maybe you would have realized that.” Zacky pointed out but I wasn’t that convinced.

“As you said her friend, she won’t be there and if she is telling this story, I won’t have a good place in it, that’s for sure… God damn it…” I cursed and paced the room.

“I will call her… try to explain again.” I grabbed my phone from my pocket and dialed her number, it rang and then nothing.
Fuck, I knew it… she was mad and with a damn good reason.. If I would just get the time to explain…

“I’ll call her friend now, so we can set that appointment, or do you wanna do it?” Jimmy asked and I frowned, wouldn’t be such a good idea.
“You do it.” Jimmy nodded taking my phone and dialing the number Selena had written down.
He looked at the phone and shrugged “No one picking up.”

“Try again.” Johnny urged him on but Jimmy shook his head “She just left, then she will talk to her friend and afterwards we can call… let’s grab something to eat and then we try again.”
I nodded, yes that was a good idea… still I took my phone from him and wrote a message.

I’m sorry, it looks bad right now, I know but please let me explain. Matt

I stared at the phone for a while not really knowing what to do, waiting for a reply I knew wouldn’t come… at least not anytime soon.

“Come on, Matt. We will settle this, don’t worry too much… You will see her again and explain, maybe you can convince her friend or that Brian guy to call her and you can make up and what other dirty deeds you have in mind for her.” Jimmy joked and I followed him out of my room.

I couldn’t do much more today anyway, I guess Jimmy was right, her friend and our missing friend can maybe help me to explain later, I really didn’t like the thought that Selena would think of me as an asshole, maybe even thinking I fooled her all along, but I didn’t.
I liked her, and I liked her a little too much for the short amount of time that we knew each other…
