Banned in a book

Sam’s POV

I woke up after the small afternoon nap Brian and I had taken, he was still sound asleep, I guess he hadn’t been sleeping much before.
I went to my laptop and typed in the last hint’s Brian gave me about his past.
I didn’t know why we haven’t done that before, but I guess we were busy with other things.

I smiled at the thought, other things were really nice, especially this morning…
It hadn’t felt like just like sex, it had felt like so much more… I sighed, I shouldn’t be thinking like that…
I shouldn’t get my hopes up to something I cannot get… Brian and I both knew that this thing with us was for a limited amount of time, it wouldn’t do any good to pretend that everything was fine and we would get the happily ever after.
Even if it felt like that…

“Johnny’s Bar, yes… There!” I grinned to myself, even the smallest info would be helpful.
Only problem was that even the smallest info would lead to hope, hope that something would help us, or rather help Brian to stay outside of the book.
What if we did find a way and then he would remember his old life and be gone, and I wouldn’t see him again?!
What if Brian was married in his old life? Was happy with some woman, who had been waiting for him the entire time?
What if-

I shook my head that was just stupid I shouldn’t be thinking like that. I should enjoy the time we had and be greatful for that.
I shouldn’t be thinking of what will happen in 2 weeks, only two weeks…

“Hey, what are you thinking about? It looks like you are trying to figure out some intense math task…” Brian walks up behind me a grin on his face and he leans down to kiss my cheek.
“Something like that, but… anyway, look what I found. Does this look familiar?” I ask him and motion towards the laptop.
Brian leans over me and I let my hand slip underneath his shirt, stroking the skin on his back, he felt so warm and I wanted to lend some of his warmth.

“That’s it, yes. Johnny’s Bar, when I was younger I stayed there with my friends. We used to play pool and-” Brian’s eyes were getting bigger “Zacky, Matt, Jimmy and Johnny”
“Your friends? Are that the name of your friends?” I ask him excitedly and he nods, “Yes!” I quickly get up and write the names on the flipchart still standing in the corner.
“Zacky, Matt, Jimmy and Johnny…” I wrote the names down Brian walks up behind me looking at all the Information, his arms sneak around my waist and he leans his head down, placing small kisses on my neck and throat.

“You know, I remembered something else this morning, too…” He said his voice sounding horase, he didn’t look at me and I frowned looking at him from the side.
“Really? What is it?” I ask him and he softly shakes his head, then a smirk came over his face
“I remembed how good it felt to have you beneath me, but you on top of me, that is even better.” Brian says and I chuckle. He turns me around in his arms and kisses me, I think he wanted to say something else first, but he changed his mind, and hell I liked the way this was going.

Selena’s POV

I look at Matt and felt more then embarrassed, I knew he would want to leave now, and I couldn’t blame him.
“It was nice to meet you again. I will just go to my car and we pretend this never happened?” I ask a little hopeful but Matt chuckled.
“Why would we do that?” He asked and I closed my eyes, great now he wanted to make fun of me.
“Because.”
“Because, what?” He stops me with a hand to my wrist and I look up to him, wow. He was really tall, and handsome… damn so handsome, and I ruined it… no not me Trevor did.

“You look beautiful tonight, thank you for meeting with me again.” Matt says and takes my hand holding it up to his knuckles, placing small kisses there.
“I.. oh.. thank you.” I blush, what the hell, he made me blush like that, just by saying that?
“You don’t look too bad yourself.” I tell him with a smirk and he mumbles something that sounded like “You should tell Zacky that.” But I wasn’t too sure.

He was wearing a dark blue jacket over a black dress shirt and black pants, it wasn’t overdressed but it wasn’t casual either, it was exactly fitting and fitting him even better. I could see that he was muscular and the shirt was stretched over his broad shoulders.
Stop thinking about it, Selena or you might drool!
I should quickly change the topic before my brain would shut down…

“Okay, let’s start over again. Matt, I’m really sorry how this went down. I didn’t know that he would be there, as you might have guessed he was my ex and… Thank you for making that a little easier for me, I really appreciate that.”
“I had fun and the pleasure was all mine.” He winked at me and I had to chuckle, seeing Trevor’s face when Matt had kissed me.
That kiss, damn it had been… fantasic, I soon lost myself in it and forgot why we were kissing in the first place.
I had been enjoying it a little too much as it seemed.
“How about we find somewhere else to eat?” Matt asks and I nod “Yes, I think that’s a good idea.”

We walked down the street and into my favorite little restaurant, I haven’t been here in a long time. For Trevor it hadn’t been fancy enough, but I loved it, the food had been amazing and the people were nice, that was enough for me.

Matt didn’t seemed to mind either, we got the best table and after we ordered Matt looked a little uncomfortable so I tried to get the conversation going.
“So, Matt… You said you needed to meet me, did you think of something I could do for you? As a thank you for saving my bag?” I ask smiling and Matt squirms in his seat.
“I.. actually yes. But can we talk about this later, I think we should enjoy our dinner first.” He says when the waitress arrived in time, she looked Matt up and down and smiled even more now, I saw her pull her shirt down, so her cleavage was even deeper than before.
What the hell? Doesn’t she see that he was in company, in female company!

“Can I do something else for you, Sir?” She asks and Matt smiles back, showing his dimples and my heart stutters for a second, how many women had fallen to his knees, when he looked at them like that?

“No thank you, but maybe my date would like something, so you should take her order as well” Matt says motioning with his head to me and the woman reluctantly switched her eyes away from Matt to me.
“What can I get you?” She says and I tried to suppress the chuckle, I couldn’t even blame her for wanting all her attention on Matt, I mean… look at him…
“I take no. 23 and a glass of red wine, thank you.” I say and she nods, “Something else?” She looks back at Matt and he grins even wider “Still everything fine, thank you.”

Matt and I did some small talk but he never moved back to the orginal topic, I still didn’t know why he wanted to meet me, and if he just wanted to take me to dinner why didn’t he just say it? I would be happy as hell to know that, that had been the reason.

When the dinner was done and I wanted to pay for it, since I invited him, he shook his head and handed his credit card to the cashier.
I smiled and felt even giddier then before, because during dinner I made up my mind, I didn’t want Matt to go just now, I wanted to spend more time with him, I just had to do it right.

“So…” Matt says when we walked out of the restaurant, it was already dark outside and I felt the soft breeze on my bare shoulders.
“Here” Matt hands me his jacket and I pull it close to my face, oh he smells good, too.
“Thank you.” I say smiling up to him and he walks so close that if I would move my hand it would brush his in the process, but I didn’t, even though it was really tempting.

“I should better head back to my hotel.” Matt says “Can I bring you to your car?”
“I.. well.. how about we are having a small drink together?” I ask, not meeting his eyes, how am I supposed to do this, I mean, shouldn’t men do this kind of things?
“Oh.. well.. I like the way you are thinking.” Matt says and I grin.
“That’s a yes?” I ask and he nods, he placed his hand underneath my chin, his thumb stroking over my cheek.
“That’s a hell yes!” Matt grins and then leans down and his lips capture mine and this time I could completely enjoy the kiss, because it was meant for me and not to piss off someone else.
“Where is your car?” Matt asks and I motion towards the parking lot.
“Come on” He grabs my hand and I follow him quickly, adventure here we come!
