Chapter 1

Kory's P.O.V.

I sighed, taking my hand away from the paper on my desk. This English test isn't going anywhere, I thought to myself as I rubbed my eyes until they hurt.
"Alright everyone, put your pencil's down and turn in your papers." The teacher, I forgot her name, sound loudly making everyone jump. I rolled my eyes and handed my paper up to the person in front of me.
"Failed it?" Melanie, my best friend, asked me, a smile hiding behind her brown eyes.
I nodded and frowned, jokingly, "Miserably."
She chuckled and patted my shoulder, "It's okay, we're seniors, we're almost there."
I closed my eyes and leaned back in my chair.
I gasped as something cold and wet landed on my chest and soaked through my shirt.
Someone laughed above me and dared me to say something. It was Myra, a girl that thought she was popular but in all reality she was just hated.
Melanie stood up immediately next to me, "Hey, watch it would ya?"
Myra smirked and turned to walk away. I began to wipe off the excess water and ice splayed across my chest.
Melanie, steamed next to me, her hands clenched in fist, "It's okay." I said, placing my hand on her arm, "It was just water, she thinks she's hurt my feeling when in all reality she just made my shirt wet." I laughed, and looked over at her sitting with her nobody friends, "They're nothing in my world."
Melanie shook her head and sat back down, placing her chin in her hands, "I hate people." She growled, glaring at Myra.
"I do to, but, like you said, we're almost there." I chuckled.
"Anyways, have you seen the new guys?" Melanie asked, her eyes suddenly wide in interest.
I shook my head and leaned back again, this time to let my shirt somewhat dry.
"They're gorgeous, all of them." She sighed, "Especially the one with the green eyes." She looked up to the ceiling as if she were daydreaming.
I rolled my eyes, "You think every guy is gorgeous, Mel."
She scoffed, "Do not. Anyway, apparently they got in some huge trouble at their last school and had to be transferred here."
I furrowed my brows, "All together? You'd think they'd send them to different schools in order to keep anything else from happening." I shook my head, "People are stupid."
Mel chuckled, "Oh Kory, why can't you just be happy that we have some hot guys in our school?"
I gave her a pointed look, "More guys to pick on me and trip me in the hallway." I answered, sullenly.
Her face dropped, "True, they could be complete assholes." She said sadly.
I nodded, happy that she understood my point.
The bell rang suddenly causing everyone to jump out of their seats and run to the doors. I sighed, annoyed and stood up, slowly gathering my stuff.
I was still gathering my stuff when the students for the next class began piling in. Melanie waited at the door and tapped her foot. It wasn't until a large guy walked in when Melanie's eyes widened and began to mouth words to me behind his back, that's one of them.
I looked at him unshamefully, his arms were tattooed and were all muscle. Melanie was right, he was pretty hot. His hair was brown and a little shaggy but still short. He had a lip ring through hiss full lips. I realized I was staring at him until he met my eyes. I didn't look away I just kept staring at him. A staring contest.
He smirked and something glowed in his eyes. I gasped and blinked and it was gone. I looked away from him and hurried to Melanie who was still staring.
"Let's get out of here." I murmured urgently, pulling Melanie away from the room.
"Why don't you go talk to him, he keeps staring at you, actually, he looks like he wants to eat you." Melanie suggested.
I shook my head, "Let's go."

After the incident, I made sure to steer clear of that guy. At lunch Melanie and I sat on the farther side of the lunch room away from him and his click who were undisturbed. They weren't saying anything, just eating quietly. When I passed by the guy caught my eyes with his hazel ones. I quickly looked away and headed towards our table.
The other guys of the group were also big, not as big as the one guy but still pretty big. I saw the green eyes one that Meanie was talking about. His eyes were scary green, greener than any eyes I have ever seen. His snake bites looked good on him as did the black hair he sported.
One of the guys was the closet to being as big, he too had black hair, longer than the other with the green eyes that hung to his chin and was mostly hidden by a fedora. His cheekbones were high and to die for. His arms were tatted. (All of the guys' arms were tatted). There was the short one, who had a Mohawk, black of course, seemed to be the one that they would pick on the most. Then there was the tall one, his electric blue eyes dazzled me, they were brighter than my own. He seemed more laid back than the others, he sat straight up looking around at everyone and was slightly smiling.
He caught my eye once and smiled brightly before turning and talking to the others. I looked down at my tray, hoping he would forget me. He did, thank goodness. Not once throughout the rest of lunch did he look back at me.
"You haven't touched your food," Melanie pointed, nudging me with her elbow.
I shrugged and pushed around the slop the school called meat. I willed myself not to puke everywhere, "I'm not all that hungry." I sighed, pushing my tray away roughly.
I stood and took a step forward, as I was doing so something came up next to me and pushed me aside, causing me to run my hip into the table ledge. I hissed in pain and clutched it.
"Watch where you're going freak." Someone hissed in my ear as they continued to walk.
"Sorry," I gasped out, "I didn't mean to get in the way of your fat ass."
The girl stopped, her hands clenched into fists. I stopped breathing, waiting for her to turn around. She didn't she relaxed, laughed and walked away.
I rolled my eyes and picked up my abandoned tray as Mel stood up, "Assholes." She muttered.
I looked up to see the whole table of guys staring over at us. I narrowed my eyes at them before turning and stalking away.
This school sucks.
