Death and All His Friends

Later that night, Brian went home and I headed to the bathroom to get the anti-anxiety medicine from the cabinet, grabbing the white bottle and popping back two pills. I felt a churning in my throat, the feeling that I only got when I was on oxycodon, too late, I realized it was Jimmy's medicine and I was allergic to oxycodon.
-Brian's POV-
My phone was ringing right in my ear, causing me to grumble and reach in the black darkness of my bedroom. Johnny's panicked voice flowed through the speaker.
"Brian, we need you at the hospital, it's Nat and the baby,"
Grabbing my clothes and throwing them on, I was having a breakdown. What in the world could've happened? She was fine earlier and now she was in trouble? Was she going to be okay? Was Jamie going to be okay? My car keys were heavy in my hand as I launched off into the direction of the hospital.
"Brian," Barbara said, reaching up to wrap her arms around me.
"What happened?"
"She was trying to use that approved anxiety medicine and grabbed one of Jim's bottles instead and had an allergic reaction, babies are fine,"
"Thank god, I thought something was... Wait, babies?"
"Yes, they found a little boy behind Jamie, they're twins,"
"oh boy," I retorted.
We all waited for her to wake up so we could tell her the news. The doctor walked out, she and the twins were healthy, and she would be up in the morning. I just hoped she would react well to the news...
