Matt’s POV

“Shit, we won’t make it. I can’t believe! It never happened to us, have to miss a concert because of a fucking snowfall!!” I grumbled plopping on the bus couch along with Johnny and Brian.

Zack and Arin were outside with Jason and his brother, still trying to find signals to their phones. I was done searching for it. We are lost, our GPS system just stopped working and we are stuck in snow in the middle of nowhere in Germany. All of this happening when we should be hitting the stage in… 5 minutes. PERFECT!

“I can’t believe we can’t even call a fucking cab! Why don’t we just… ask for a lift to the venue?” Johnny tried at last, we had no more ideas of how getting out of there.

“Are you crazy? What if we get a psycho fangirl to harass us in the way?” Brian threw it and I just weirdly frowned at him. What?

“Of all the things you could’ve said, you chose a fangirl? Really, Gates? You think you’re so important, don’t ya?”

“Hey, I’m just saying I don’t wanna be grabbed or squeezed against my will in the back seat of a stranger’s car, alright? I’m staying right here, at least we have heater.”

“Jeez… You’re really getting old and cranky, aren’t you Haner? A few years ago you would be dying to get on the backseat of a car with a fan.” Johnny replied with a tap on Brian’s knee and I agreed, chuckling.

“Oh, Christ! Do you remember that time in our van, back on the old days? We caught this cranky guy here partying with two girls when we were tired as hell and didn’t have any money to go to a freaking hotel room. We had to wait they finish their ‘thing’ for us to sleep in that disgusting place Brian had just transformed in a harem.”

“Well, at least we made him clean up all the mess. It was hilarious to watch, he was drunk as hell.” Johnny laughed loud and I followed him.

“We all were…”

“Ha-ha-ha, very funny memories guys, you’re making that up, I have no recollection of it so…”

“Oh my god, after all this time, you’re still denying it? Fuck you!” I punched his leg jokingly and he wasn’t laughing, not a bit. He really didn’t remember that night?

“Believe me, I’d remember if I had had a threesome in that van. I didn’t!”

“Yes you did!”

“NO, I DIDN’T!”

I just got stuck in the middle of a childish arguing between Johnny and Brian. Yey, I so rather
be on stage now… they are so good with their mouths shut and their guitars in hands.

“YES YOU DID, YOU MORON!! And if you can’t really remember how hot those girls were, you are more stupid than I thought!”

“Damn it, I did?” now Brian was asking himself with that clueless face and I was done with them. “Fuuck…”

I stood up from the couch and saw the other guys coming inside the bus.

“That’s it, we’re already late. We have to cancel. No signals of anything around here, only trees and snow. We gotta get our stuff and start heading off, try to find a hotel…” Zack said defeated, with his nose on pure red from the cold.

“Oh, no, no shit! Can’t we just… pull this thing out of the snow? We have enough strength here I guess, we are eight.”

“We tried, Brian, you know that. It didn’t move an inch. It’s too heavy.” Arin replied.

“Guys, get your coats, the stuff you need and let’s go. No one is staying behind.” I decided and they all moved and sounded REALLY excited about that idea.

They made sure they were packing their stuff really slowly and I was waiting for them in the bus door with our driver. When I was about to open the door, I heard a knock.

Who could possibly be knocking now?

I frowned and opened the door, I began frowning even more when I saw the three small figures standing before our bus door.
“I told you there is nobody.” I heard a voice just when the door began to open completely and smiled.

One of them was rubbing her hands against each other, they had their hoods deep in their faces so I couldn’t make out any of the faces but seeing their small heights, they must be women.
“Well, here is somebody… hello?” I said and the three hoods snapped up and I finally could see some faces, but still with thick scarf’s hiding most of it.
“DAMN MATT, get out or get back in, its freezing inside already.” Zacky yelled but I couldn’t take my eyes off the three figures in front of me who still didn’t speak.

I looked a little closer and saw one pair of light brown eyes, one pair of darker brown ones and one I had to look in a little longer, were they blue? No rather grey, like the sky on a stormy day, were looking back at me.
“Can we help you?” I asked and was shoved to the side by Johnny “What’s going on here… oh hey…” Johnny smiled and the women still wouldn’t say anything, when Johnny made some space and motioned them inside.
“Hey, I’m Johnny. Can we help you? Are you also stuck here in the snow? Or better asked… can you help us?” Johnny rambled on and the three finally snapped out of their freezing state.
They looked at each other, each and then seemed to have finished the mental conversation looking back up to us.
“Hey… yeah.. can we come inside? It’s ice cold.” One of them asked and I saw behind me the other guys getting up from the couch, hearing the female voices and being drawn by them to have a look.
“Sure, yeah.. right. Come inside.” I said and finally made my way inside the bus to show them the way.

I saw Brian and Zack’s curious faces and gave them a narrowed glare meaning they should better behave.
“Ohhh it’s so warm here…” I heard one sigh and chuckled, they must be wandering around the snow for a while.
“Yeah.. damn.. I never wanna leave again.” Another voice said, while one was still silent.
“Come, on get rid of the wet clothes.. I mean jackets” Johnny chuckled, being elbowed by Arin in the side.
Finally the hoods were pulled down and I saw one dark blonde, fitting to the grey blue eyes, one red haired with the dark brown eyes and one brunette with the other brown eyes, they nearly moaned in unison when they pulled their wet jackets off and I had to swallow thickly.
“So, three girls alone in the dark… when there is a weather like that outside… what happened?” Brian asked making his way over to the girls, taking the jackets of the red haired one and handing it to Arin who looked at him with a frown.
“Maybe you first tell us your names.” I said and looked at them a little closer, but no matter what I did, my eyes returned to the grey eyed one, and her shy smile.

“I’m Leyla, this is Mei and that is Kim. We were on our way to-” Leyla started and getting an elbow in the side from Mei.
“-to celebrate Kim’s birthday, but we got off the main road, because of a huge traffic jam and ended up lost and stuck in snow…” Mei finished for Leyla and they shared a secret look which made me frown.
“Oh a birthday… then we have the right stuff for that.” Johnny announced and went to our fridge giving out bottles of beer to everyone and I frowned.
“Johnny, I don’t think that these women want-”
“Oh, I need that… thank you.” Mei took the bottle from Johnny and held it to her mouth drinking nearly half the beer in on go making me lift my eyebrows in surprise.
“Wow.. that’s what I’m talking about. Someone else, too? Happy Birthday, Kim!” Johnny handed a beer to everyone before drinking and I motioned the girls to the couch, while also lifting my beer in congratulation.

Poor thing, having to celebrate her birthday with strangers, stuck in the snow… could think of something better… Maybe I could make this a little easier for them, if they got to know us a little.
Somehow I felt this want to soothe them… and especially one of them…
“So hmm… I don’t know if you know… who we are?” I asked a little uncertain and the girls shared a look, but then they all had a frown on their faces and shook their heads.
“No sorry… should we? I mean is this…” Leyla said lifting her eyebrows a little and I held my hands up.
“No no.. it’s okay. Better even.. I think. So I’m Matt, this is Johnny, Arin, Brian, Zacky, Jason and another Matt.” I motioned to all the guys and the girls kept looking from one to the other, while the guys winked or grinned at the girls and I shook my head, they are really better on stage or behind the stage than being around girls, they are the worst and couldn’t be taken serious anymore.
I saw Brian already playing with the red hair of Leyla, behind the headrest of the bench.

“So, you are also stuck in the snow… have you tried your phone? We don’t have any signal here…” I asked and they all nodded.
“We neither… nothing” Kim said and I smiled, her cheeks were getting red and she looked adorable like that.
“Have you seen any gas station or something?” I asked and Kim shook her head again.
“No, we have been searching for that as well, but we didn’t get that far…” She said and all my attention concentrated on her.
I heard that there were a lot more conversation’s starting but I leaned further towards her to concentrate only on her.
“Your accent… where are you from?” I asked being distracted by her voice and mesmerizing eyes.
“Netherlands.” She smiled and I chuckled
“We had some fun in the Netherlands...” I said and then frowned remembering she doesn’t know about that “I mean as friends.. in clubs… and such… anyway… We should do something about this situation… Do you have a map or anything… any clue where we are?” I asked and she shook her head again with a sad smile.
“No, we lost track of where we are some while ago, that’s why we kept on walking…” Kim said and I cursed.
“Damn, we don’t have anything either…” I mused but then I let myself be lost in the talk with Kim, not only about today but about all kinds of different topics, she asked me of my hobbies and she smiled, like she knew something, I didn’t… But I liked to share some information with someone, having a normal talk and getting lost again and again by her soft voice, which seemed to lull me.

I lost the track of time during all the talk and questions we were having for each other and it was really getting late, but I had to do something… I wasn’t the waiting kind!
“Guys, we should be doing something… I mean we can’t just sit here and wait.” I announced getting a smile from Kim, making my heart flutter a little and me frown, what was that?

None of the guys were even listening to me, they were engaged in drinking and sharing stories with the other two girls.
“Hello? Guys?” I clapped Jason on the shoulder, but he shrugged my hand of.
“God damn it… Fine, then I will be going… I will find some gas station or anything, alright?” I asked not getting any reaction again.
“You shouldn’t be going alone.” Kim said getting up and I frowned, shaking my head.
“No, don’t worry. I will just see if anything is around here, just sit down and enjoy your birthday… at least a little.” I gave her a smile and she sighed, I did get that reaction from my dimples but getting it from her was making me aware of it even more.
“But I want to join you, I also can’t sit around here… I need to keep moving…” She said and was already pulling her jacket on.
“If you insist.” I smiled and was glad I wouldn’t have to go alone, even though I think it would be better if one of my lazy band mates would come along and not one fragile girl, even though I had to admit I did like her company too much already after only sharing a few hours with her.

I clapped Zack’s shoulder “We will go outside, see if we can find some houses or maybe even another car driving by for help.” I said and got a nod from Zacky so I guess he heard me.
I walked towards the door, waiting for Kim, pulling her scarf around her throat and securing it there.
I opened the door and held my hand out to help her down the steps.
She smiled at me when she was down and I jumped the rest of the stairs down before I followed her into the deep snow.
The door closed behind us and I realized just how dark it really was outside, I went to the side of the bus and opened the trunk getting a flashlight and another jacket for me.
“So where are we going?” Kim asked frowning into the dark and I looked around, for any sign of living beings.
I was the man so I should at least think of the right way to go, huh… I looked left and right, didn’t even know from which way we came… Fuck it…
“Let’s go to the left…” I held my flashlight up and motioned forward, we started walking and I just hoped we would find something.

We had been walking silently along the small street, not one car was passing us by and slowly I lost the hope in finding anything.
“How long do you think we are walking now?” Kim asked and I heard the shivering in her voice.
“I don’t know..” I looked at my watch and it was already after midnight, shit we should get home… or rather back to the bus.
“Maybe we should turn around.” I said defeated and saw Kim nod, she turned and slipped, losing her balance and I caught her just before her falling and hitting the snow full force.
“Sorry… ice… I didn’t…” her cheeks got red again and I couldn’t help but put my ice cold fingers against it, wanting to feel it before, but now getting the chance without anyone watching.
She blinked at me and I realized I was still holding her in my arms, while touching her cheek. I quickly set her back on her feet and grinned sheepishly, not really able to describe why I did, what I did…
“Matt?” She asked finally and I met her eyes again.
“Yeah?”
“Do you know the way back?”

Good questions… but do I have the answer?
