A Synderella Story
Summary
Everyone wishes upon shooting stars and believes that fairy tales come true. At least Ashlynn did. As a child she would sit up and wait for her father to come home from work so he could tell her a story. Cinderella was her favourite and he would save it for the nights that he would be home late.
He would read Cinderella to teach his daughter that good things happen to good people. He would tell her to always have faith because one day something good will be waiting around the corner, just like Cinderella’s Prince was waiting to find her.
He was her Prince Charming. He was the one to heighten her hopes and give her dreams. But one day Ashlynn lost her Prince and his love became more of a memory than reality. She slowly began to give up and she no longer believed in fairytales or wished upon shooting stars.
Her father had a saying. “Sometimes people make bad choices and the wrong decisions but mistakes are forgivable and bad choices can be forgotten once the right choice has been made.”
If only Ashlynn could remember her fathers words today.
